    Smackdown non-spoiler listings from England

When I first read that, I said "Who the fuck is Scotty Moore" Haha, I edited it. I mean...um...he's Shannon Moore's spiker-haired brother!
  2. Nothing too big, but here ya go: Lisa Copeland said both Adam and Amy had heat they had oppurtunities to tell the truth but they still lied. Adam apparrently told Laurinatis, that it was his own business, and no one else's. He also named names of other wrestlers who were sleeping around on their wives. This may tie in with Rhyno, because Rhyno said in Puerto Rico his own release is tied in with the Lita/Adam/Hardy thing. On the Cauliflower alley club thing in Vegas, Bruce Hart did a 40 minutes speech on his Father's last words and Ripping on Vince. Paul Jones also did a anti-Vince speech, he called Vince a cunt. Adrian Street and Miss Linda were married at the at this event. Mil Mascaras was told he had to remove his mask if he wanted to walk around the casino. A few months ago at a different casino El Hijo Del Santo was told the same thing. Nicho was told be the WWE he could be starting any week now, that's why he pulled out of his Mexico bookings. Sabu said at his benefit shows in Tokyo that he'll do the 6/10 show in Philly, but nobody in the WWE has contacted him yet about the other one on 6/12. He and Heyman still have heat from when he refused to job for Super Crazy. But Dave said they do want him. They also told Shane Douglas he couldn't use the ECW name in any way. WWE has no interest in Samoa Joe. Morale is up because the wrestlers got a hugh payday because the success of the Raw vs Smackdown video game they got a payday of between $35,000 to $90,000. Between that and the mercandising money some got a six figure paycheck. He talks about the Heartbreakers, Shawn Michaels wouldn't let them use the Heartbreakers name. There were 2 incidents over mania weekend. Lance Storm was teaching the OVW guys how to behave in the locker room. How to get along, not look stuck up, respectful, stuff like that. And talked about the reputations of Bob Holly and JBL. And how there was no room for this kind of behavior in 2005 wrestling. Word got back to Holly and JBL, who were not happy about this. But Storm was just trying to teach them how to avoid problems of this type. 2nd incident: Johnny Jeter was hanging around backstage with the Bashams, who he's friends with. They asked how's like in OVW. He said it sucks. He doesn't like being in a tag team with Matt Copatelli and he didn't think it was good for him to be considered a tag team wrestler. Word got back to JBL who grew up a fan of the Rock N Roll Express and the Midnight Express and team like this. He was pissed and ordered some minor hazing of Jeter. Jeter told Storm, and Storm said that stuff is stupid and don't listen to JBL. At mania weekend, JBL and Holly saw Storm and JBL told him off. JBL challenged Storm, but Storm just ignored it and left. So the story is Storm was professional and JBL unprofessonal, but since JBL is the bigger star, the word was Storm backed away from a fight. On a CNN interview Vince said the keys to leaving Spike were the Telemundo deal and the NBC specials. Rico Constatino and Adrian Street met at the Cauliflower Alley Club, talked about using Adrian old gimmic, and having so much in common, both getting into wrestling rather late in life, the gimmick. Rico quit All Japan when some wrestler there started shooting on him, but Dave didn't know who, (Anyone here know?). He was half of the Asian Tag Champs at the time. Rico is now retired from Wrestling and working as a full time fireman in Vegas. What remains of Wildside will be taken over by Rick Michaels and Thomas Simpson who ran Omega. The idea is to turn Wildside into Omega with Hardy since Wildside has TV.
  3. Here are quick spoilers for tonight's Raw. They are brief and probably not in order. Batista opened the show and introduced Jim Ross. HHH came out. They teased a fight but didn't happen. Christian and Tomko were in the ring. Kane came out and destroyed Tomko. Christian ran away and then asked HHH for help. Chris Jericho vs. either Sylvan Grenier or La Resistance: Jericho wins. La Resistance attack him after the match. Shelton Benjamin comes out to help but Jericho ends up pushing Shelton. Shelton hits his finisher on him and leaves. Divas and Daily Star women came out to throw a "party" for William Regal. Daivari and Muhammad Hassan came out and challenge Regal and Tajiri. Haasan and Divari won the match. Edge beat Val Venis. Edge kept attacking him until Benoit came out and hit Edge a few times. Chris helped Val up. Batista vs. Christian: Coach is ref. Game is the "problem solver" and Ric Flair is timekeeper. Batista won after knocking Christian out and forcing Coach's hand to tap the mat. Trish/Viscera sketches aired throughout. She says she'll reward him after Backlash, where he fights Kane. Quite funny. Was also a backstage bit with Hogan and HBK, talking about Backlash. --PWInsider.com

    Judgment Day card

Advertised in the Minneapolis area for Judgment Day...(SPOILERS): John Cena vs. JBL (I Quit for WWE title) Eddie vs. Rey Carlito vs. Big Show Angle vs. Booker Add in a tag title defense for MNM, a US title match for Orlando Jordan, and some other crap with their new characters and you have a better than usual looking Smackdown card...of course that isn't saying much. Eddie/Rey and Angle/Booker are REALLY going to have to deliver.
  5. This idea came up when discussing over at the DVDVR boards how Mark Henry signed that huge 10 year deal with the WWF and it's almost like they booked him in all this horrible shit trying to get him to quit. So with that, my brain started turning... And now I have an angle idea...tell me what you think: So a character is hyped up with a month of vignettes for his debut to (for example) WWE. Big hype about how he's going to be the next big thing (no Lesnar pun intended) and all that. So he makes his debut in a match against someone like Val Venis or Steven Richards or Hardcore Holly or whoever...you know, a guy that always loses to the "big new star" in his first match. So they have this match, and the new guy loses. The GM of whichever show is frustrated that his big investment lost in his first match, and is visibly upset backstage, but thinks it's a fluke so he sends him out the next week, and the new "big star" loses again to another similar type wrestler. This continues for a few weeks. Finally, the GM brings the new talent into his office and says that they signed him to a big five year contract with the idea that he was going to be the next big superstar in wrestling, but it's clear that he's not, so they want him out of there. The wrestler says they can't do anything because he's under contract, and unless he breaks his contract, they can't make him leave, and he gets to keep collecting a paycheck. So the next few weeks or months its constant games of cat and mouse between the GM and the new wrestler. Picture the Seinfeld episode where George tries to stay at that company to earn his full salary even though they want him to get the hell out of there. The GM puts him an embarrassing situations, tries to put him in tough matches, has people beat the crap out of him, plots ways for the wrestler to miss his flight so he misses the show, tries to get women to seduce him to change his mind and just leave. And of course through all this the wrestler gets better, and develops into the talent he was meant to be when he first signed on. And then, you have a real superstar on your hands. So what do you think of my *awesome* idea?

Thanks for the details. Did they announce Backlash matches of Kane vs. Vis and a tag team turmoil match like was rumored?

    WWE PPV buyrates from 2001-2004

    WWE PPV buyrates from 2001-2004

No, but I could rearrange them like that.
  10. Looking through this week's wrestling quiz on the Wrestling Observer webpage, I was wondering what the answers to these to questions are: 8. Larry Zbysko got some heat when someone he was feuding with suddenly passed away from a drug overdose. Larry went on Nitro thereafter and said that he had some comments on that person, but in respect for his family, he wouldn't say them. Some took it as Larry not dropping a feud for storyline reasons, which shouldn't have mattered because jeez, the guy just died. What WCW mid-carder was Larry feuding with at the time? 10. In 1995, America was deeply engulfed in the case and trial of OJ Simpson. What wrestler tastelessly went on WCW television with a black glove and threatened everyone that we all know what people in black gloves are capable of?

    WM 21 Buyrate

    Wrestlemania 17: 1,040,000 buys.

    WM 21 Buyrate

Wow, I guess people were really hooked by the Batista/HHH thing, huh?
  13. JoeDirt

    Judgment Day card

I was predicting OJ vs. Show and Carlito vs. Undertaker...but I guess I was wrong. Carlito/Show is easy enough to make happen. Carlito has him on as a guest on the Cabana, makes fun of him for losing the 4-way in England, and boom, there ya go.

    Backlash Discussion

From PWInsider.com: WWE is currently sending via satellite from Stamford some graphics to use tonight during Raw to promote Backlash matches. These graphics show two matches which appear now official for this Sunday's pay-per-view: Viscera, with Trish Stratus, vs. Kane, with Lita. Tag Team Turmoil Match for the World Tag Team Championship involving William Regal and Tajiri, The Heart Throbs, La Resistance, Simon Dean and Maven and the duo of Hurricane and Rosey. (So two weeks after getting their last tag team title match, La Resistance gets another shot. Wow)

    Lockdown predictions

Styles/Abyss was apparently quite the match. I don't get why Monty Brown jobbed to Sean Waltman.

    An angle/character idea I have

They were trying to get him to quit. Well hell, a lot of the best storylines come from reality, right?

You've been reading the PWT interview with Nash, haven't you? Actually I haven't, no. Why?

WWE to show Wrestlemania Battle Royal

Wow, they're rolling out all the video packages they can tonight. I don't see why they just didn't tape Velocity back on one of the weeks when it didn't air. Then they could show the matches from that taping tonight.

WWE to show Wrestlemania Battle Royal

Haha, Masters couldn't get the Masterlock on Booker.
  23. About the ECW PPV, no decision has been regarding working with TNA talent(Shane Douglas, Raven, Jerry Lynn). Vince talked to Mick Foley about the show, and Mick wants to do the funny Mr. Socko spot, but Vince wants Cactus Jack for a match. But Mick wants significant money$$ for a match, as he only has a few left in him. Matches talked about Rey Mysterio vs Psicosis(or Juvie). And Tajiri vs Super Crazy. Also trying to work out a visa for Masato Tanaka. Tazz does not want to wrestle. But will appear. No interest in Johnny Grunge. About Heyman, his contract was a 5 year deal done about the time ECW folded. It will be up either late this year, or early next year. He won't be retained becuase Stepanie hates him. TNA wrestlers see him as potential savior. WWE: Bonnie Hammer head of USA network said there will be more Smackdown vs Raw matches. Lisa Copeland sent a nasty message to the McMahon's about protecting Adam. And included messages from Adam to his friends. In the e-mail Adam said his rental car tires were slashed and he thought Matt Hardy did it. It was at the show in Fayetteville that Hardy attended. Adam said Hardy wouldn't even look at him at the show because Hardy was afraid he'd would get the "Feces" beaten out of him. Adam said he was laughing at internet reports that he was upset by the chants he was hearing. He blamed Hardy for turning it into High School. Dave said they're doing there annual attempt to push the cruiserweights. London is getting the Ultimate Warrior look. Kidman has not developed any personality. Chavo is a solid worker, but will never be much of a star. He said they trying to protray Hiedenreich as a kooky babyface character. More like a psychotic Hillybilly Jim. Bischoff with Jason Hervey are putting together a TV show for Limp Biskit's Fred Durst. Durst wants to protray a father, businessman, Musician. They claim to have 2 cable stations interested. About the 2006 Hall of Fame, they've sent out feelers to Bret Hart, Dave thinks they'll do the Road Warriors being in Chicago. And another push to get Dusty Rhodes in, but Dusty is waiting to pick the right year where he can be the big star not just another guy there like Orndorff. Kevin Fertig is very nervious with all the recent firings. He was involved in a bar fight, where he finished it with an "Exclamation Point". It has lead to a threatened lawsuit. Aaron Aguilera (Jesus) was told once he got heathly and cleared they'd give him another look. He's gotten feelers from a few Japanese groups, and AAA. Brian Hebner was suspened for one month and fined $1,000. for constantly being out of control on the Australian tour. He was talking back to his dad Earl who gave Brain a "Goozle".
  24. Was there any reason why Fit Finlay got the TV title in 1998? That always seemed sort of random.
