I'm guessing Hardy. Aren't Venis and Storm still faces? True...though Storm has been heelish lately, like this past Sunday's match.
-
I still don't get the Theodore Long draft pick.
-
Kane is a good bet, as mentioned above. None of the guys on Heat this week will be traded. (Hardy, Storm, Val, Cade, Hurricane, Lita, Jazz)
-
Ditto. I wonder who works as the heel?
-
That's a good prediction. Or Steph might do it to, for revenge for her brother. I'm guessing it won't be Shane, since he's a brand new dad.
-
Hurricane wrestling alone...maybe Rosey gets traded!
-
Kind of disappointed by some of the picks...the crowd definitely was. I hope they have a plan of where they're going with all of this. I wonder why there's a trade deadline, too...haven't the brands been able to trade all along?
-
Great match. I like their KOTR93 match a bit better, but the heat for this one was crazy...big mark out moment when Perfect taps and Piper goes nuts.
-
Somehow I think Meltzer is more reliable than Scherer or any other wrestling journalist...I doubt he'd just publish a letter supposedly from a wrestler.
-
I'm really interested to see what these shows do buyrate wise compared to the rest of the shows. Sadly, we never hear this info.

That was Willy the Worker, sent to Scherer, I believe.

I was watching my Royal Rumble 2004 DVD tonight and was thinking about something. Has a winner of a Royal Rumble ever _run_ to the ring? The theory is that since the winner of the Rumble is usually one of the bigger stars, they usually walk to the ring to milk their entrance pop/heat. So is running down to the ring the first signal that someone won't win the Rumble?

1) How did Randy Savage draw in his year as a babyface champion in 1988? How did he draw as a champion post-WM8? 2) Did the WWF ever seriously consider putting the title on Mabel? And when and how did MOM turn heel? Also, why were the Headshrinkers turned face and given the tag titles after WM10 instead of putting the belts on MOM? 3) Was Mankind beating Undertaker at KOTR96 a huge surprise on the internet at the time or not? 4) Why did Davey Boy Smith leave the WWF in late 1992? 5) How long did Dan Severn last in the WWF? 6) Why was Lex Luger vs. Tatanka in a steel cage just a pregame show match for Wrestlemania 10, when they had been feuding since Summerslam 94 and instead we got Allied Powers vs. Blu Brothers?

Foley says in his book that they decided he should win the title because they didn't want Ventura getting booed in his home state by having HHH go over.
-
What were your favorite moments from the Austin/McMahon feud? Did you like the WWF at this time, or was there not enough good wrestling on the shows for you?
-
They're actually going to call it Over the Edge?
-
If they bring back ECW only to turn it into WWE style hardcore with garbage gan lids and broomsticks, I'll puke.

I don't know... Maybe she'd WANT us to see her pregnant...thinking she glows more like that. *shrug* And you just know Vince will insinuate its his baby she's carrying. That would be bad. We'd get a Vince/Steph rematch from No Mercy, in the first ever "winner gets the baby" match.
-
It's gotta be HHH...afterall, he doesn't think steroids are bad either, and are the same thing as lifting weights.
-
Lash Leroux is hanging around NWA TNA, trying to get a job.

Mr. Perfect took his sweet ass time in 2002 too, enjoying the show while HHH and Austin went at it. As for HHH that year, his entrace was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. He let his theme song almost finish playing before he even BEGAN walking to the ring. Yeah, he posed for 2 minutes, threw a few punches with Austin, and then Hurricane came out and tried to chokeslam them both. Lol. You gotta love Nunzio's strategy from this year. Just sit outside the ring, and never get inside! If they don't want to make a friggin' countout rule, then why the hell not?
-
I didn't know that, but it makes sense. So would Goldust/HHH originally have been for the IC title at WM13? Or would Rocky have beaten HHH at Final Four anyways?
-
...who wrestled the next day at a house show against DAMIAN DEMENTO...
-
They booked the match against Austin as first blood and then on the day of the show they couldn't come up with a logical way to make Kane bleed without unmasking so they decided to give Kane a 1 day reign and hopefully get a high rating on Raw when he lost the title. They changed the booking the day before the show? I always figured Kane was always booked to win it, because if he lost he was supposed to set himself on fire...well, nevermind, Russo probably had something goofy planned for that or else they never would have even brought it up.
