Did the suits get pissed at Hawk for no selling Kane's tombstone not long after he debuted in 97? How many times did Undertaker pretend to be Kane, and then unmask to shock everybody? (Even though you knew it because he wore a two sleeved outfit to cover all his tattoos.)

Was this the end of HHH's streak? I think it was.
-
I actually loved the whole angle that led to Rock becoming champion, and the Shane heel turn on Austin. Vinnie Roo could really write some good stuff now and then.
-
I also believe the zamboni show is also the show where Rock pinned Taker in that tag match, and they did a good job of making it seem like a really big deal.
-
Bret faced Benoit in March of 99? Don't remember that match...
-
I'm actually surprised they gave this match away on an IYH and then had Taker vs. Farooq for the title at KOTR.
-
It's a pretty stiff match. They really start to beat the crap out of each other near the end, and Shamrock quickly grabs the ankle lock for the submission. HHH vs. Flash Funk is pretty decent. Mankind vs. Rock is okayish (Rock definitely wasn't that good at this point, but Foley takes some nice bumps). Ahmed vs. NOD sucks for the most part. Vader vs. Shamrock is a decent stiff match. Austin/Taker is about ***, which is the high star rating for the show. So an okay show, and yes, it's hard to find, but definitely not impossible.

The original booking was Bret Hart vs. Sid for the world title and Benoit vs. Jeff Jarrett for the US title. Hart and Jarrett were both injured for the show, so they just put Benoit vs. Sid.

I just got World Tour 96 off ebay, so I'll post a review of the match when I watch it!
-
It's a pretty slow match at first...Austin just holds Taker in a headlock for a while. The finish really picks up though, and is good. Probably about a *** match.
-
I completely agree. I really like the match, though not as good as the others, and just watched it the other night. Probably ****. Along with a good Taker/Mankind match it makes up for the rest of the shit on that card.
-
Eh, Steele just used his real name.
-
Well, to be honest, me too, except for the part that involves Test being in the match. Hey, it could be worse...I.E - John Heidenreich.
-
Here comes the happy Lance Storm.
-
I like Stevie, so I won't mind a no-DQ match between them.
-
They should have had all the babyfaces come from the back after Lesnar F-5-ed Austin on RAW and chased him away to get over the brand extension thing even more.

Bischoff/Vince recap. ARRRGH.

Nope. Total squash by Hardy.

That _is_ Ace Steele, right?
-
It's still better than Chilly McFreeze.
-
The fact that they don't see he could be super over as a face or a heel is ridiculous...
-
He's facing Ace Steele! (Named Chris Guy)

V.1! Matt's kitchen appliances are all stainless steel. Matt likes his eggs cooked over-easy.
-
It'd be funny...but I'd rather have him as a badass heel. Being funny will just get him over as a babyface again.
