Man, that HHH western is a shoo in for Best Picture.

Doesn't get the hate for this match, it's not even half as bad as Triple H vs. Undertaker at KOTR 2002 or Yoko vs. Hogan at KOTR 1993 etc... You're right. Not half as bad. Twice as bad. Can you please explain why? How is it that horrible? Outside of crowd heat (for Kane) the match is just...bleh. I don't remember ONE SINGLE SPOT and I watched the DVD a few weeks ago. Don't get me wrong, it's nothing great...but it's not one of the worst matches EVER. Like you said, it's "bleh". But it's not like Test fell off the ropes while doing his elbow drop. They did some okayish power stuff that certainly wasn't as embarrassing as Taker vs. Gonzalez or Taker vs. Yokozuna or anything like that.

When we talk "juicing" are we talking bad, illegal steroids? Or are there supplements and stuff that are all natural that you can take that aren't bad for you? I guess I'm just no expert on the matter...

1) Was putting the WWF title on Bret at the house show in 1992 just a spur of the moment decision? 2) Why was DDP never given a world title push in 1997 or most of 1998? He was super over as a babyface for a while there. Is it just the usual Hogan politics crap? 3) Does anyone remember the WWF Summerslam Flashback from 1997? I watched a tape of that the other day, and they actually recapped the Taker vs. Taker angle on that! Just thought I'd mention that. 4) What was the deal with Curtis Hughes' short WWF stint in 1993? 5) What did Yokozuna do from Survivor Series 94 to his return at Wrestlemania? Did he just need some time off? And did Hogan ever try to bring him to WCW? It seems like he would, since Yoko got the best of Hogan in the WWF, and Hogan wouldn't want to leave it at that! 6) What was the deal behind Warrior's WCW return in 1998? It seems weird he would agree to come back to job to Hogan and then leave.

So does this story mean that most of the guys in the promotion DO use drugs? Where's CM Punk when you need him...

No one cared about Brock until he beat Rock...and Brocks' got natural charisma, size, and had a finisher that at the time made people say "whoa". But don't worry, Randy Orton. If you keep shoving something down someone's throat, it'll get there attention eventually. Man, that sounded really sick...

I think the original plan was for Bret to win at Survivor Series 97, Shawn to win a 4way for the title at the DX IYH, Shawn to win a ladder match at the Royal Rumble, and then Bret to win the title back the RAW after that with his career on the line. They could easily have had HHH be the one to cost HBK the match, and lead to a match between the two of them at Wrestlemania. Weird to think about, really! Bret vs. Austin Taker vs. Kane HBK vs. HHH Foley and Funk vs. NAO Rock vs. Shamrock Owen and Bulldog vs LOD Taka vs. Aguila Goldust/Luna vs. Mero/Sable And there you go.

Well...I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to technology...so what would you reccomend? What's the difference?

Did people pretty much laugh at this stuff at the time, or where they into it? You know, with Paul Bearer telling the story of how Undertaker murdered his parents who worked at the funeral home, but his brother Kane was still alive, etc etc...

I don't think so...he was also never a heel, which means it's not likely he did.

I was watching Wrestlemania X today and then decided I would look online and dig up the article that made Vince change his mind and _not_ have Lex win the title from Yokozuna at Wrestlemania X (only to lose it to Bret in the last match of the night). I thought the people here might be interested to read it. ===================================================== GRAPPLERS ARE TATTLERS ABOUT WRESTLEMANIA We always wondered why athletes get stripped of their jobs/titles/houses/freedom if they: bet on games/take steroids/fix sporting events, while wrestlers get rich from all of the above right in front of everyone. Well, in the spirit of shocking, big breaking news we have to tell all of you obsessive fans who'll be attending this afternoon's Wreslemania competition at the Garden that we already know who's gonna win. We know this because about 12 of the bulked-up boys have been in town all week and several of them can't keep their traps shut. A huge contingent of them - including Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Stan Lane, Johnny Polo and Crush - plopped down for a few 32-ounce porterhouse steaks at Charlton's steak house Thursday night and our source caught it all. Turns out perennial good guy Luger will meet and beat perennial bad guy Yokozuna for the World Wrestling Federation championship title. But, we understand, Luger will only own the belt for about an hour. At that time Hart is supposed to climb into the ring and, with the help of guest referee Mr. Perfect, lay a big beating on Luger and be declared champion. But don't let us stop you from getting drunk in front of your children and cheering for your favorite actor, er, wrestler.

Oh, and how about Farooq vs. Savio vs. Crush from WWF Ground Zero? You know, the match with the physics-defying neckbreaker?
-
I was all set to scream and yell at you for leaving that match off when I saw it at 14. I didn't think it was THAT bad...it wasn't great by any means, but I don't see why it's negative stars by any means... Also, Perfect vs. Luger from WMIX isn't a horrible match either. It's at least ** or so, and EASILY not one of the worst of all time. I mean, did you see Taker vs. Kamala? Or Nailz vs. Bossman?
-
According to some, the original plan was to have Taker beat Yoko for the title, then Borga win it from Taker somehow (I'm assuming on RAW, too), which would set up Luger/Borga at Wrestlemania. I'm pretty sure they scrapped that idea pretty quickly, though, and Borga ended up getting injured anyways. Maybe someone else can clarify.

Yeah, the lady who wrote that stuff is pretty much a moron.

I just read the other day that in 1994, about a week before the Royal Rumble, the WWF held a special 30-man Royal Rumble at an MSG house show, a match that Owen Hart won. Did the WWF do anything like this any other times? Was it just a big "tuneup" for how the match would go down a week later? (Aside from Owen winning it, of course). Was it to give Owen a push building to his Wrestlemania match with Bret, that would take place at MSG?
-
How do you have it set up? The RAW's on individual tapes, or several on a tape? If we wanted specific ones, could you put them on one tape?
-
Probably would have reffed the match where Luger beat Yoko.
-
Since when did "Vince coming to make a WM annoucement" turn into "Vince fights Bischoff"?
-
Closed captioning: "I would be squared to death."
-
Austin probably thought she wouldn't drink beer with Xtian, thereby justfying the beating in his mind. Fair enough.
-
Where's Austin?
