Man, everytime Eddie misses the frog splash I flash back to when he broke his arm right after his WWF debut... That would SUCK if it happened again. -

FALLOUT FROM NO WAY OUT; EDDIE'S FIRST NIGHT AS WWE CHAMP Feb. 19, 2004 When he is in his usual mood, Brock Lesnar is one of the most fearsome and formidable Superstars to ever enter the ring. On SmackDown!, expect to see a side of Lesnar never seen before as he has not one, but two targets for his anger. At No Way Out, not only did Lesnar lose the WWE Championship to Eddie Guerrero, but he did so in part because RAW Superstar Goldberg lived up to his promise to make Lesnar “next” and interfered in the match between Lesnar and Guerrero last Sunday. Who will the now ex WWE Champion target first for revenge? Find out on SmackDown! Speaking of the WWE Championship, SmackDown! will be the first for Eddie Guerrero as WWE Champion. After an emotional night at No Way Out, Guerrero will have a moment that only a select few ever get to experience – the opportunity to enter the ring as the reigning WWE Champion. After all of the adversity Guerrero has faced throughout his life, don’t miss what should be a very special night for him on SmackDown! However, expect Guerrero’s celebration to be short-lived as his first challenger is already in place. Thanks to his victory in the Triple Threat Match at No Way Out, Kurt Angle – the man Guerrero last eliminated from the from the SmackDown! Royal Rumble Match to gain the opportunity at No Way Out – is the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XX. With some tension already existing between the two during from the days leading to No Way Out, an Angle-Guerrero rivalry should bring nothing but the best from these two competitors. The rivalry could begin to take shape this week on SmackDown! See all of this and the rest of the fallout from No Way Out on SmackDown! at 8/7 CT on UPN. The Road to WrestleMania XX is in its final stretch … don’t miss it!

Oh, and besides...with all Benoit and Edge heading to RAW, Smackdown NEEDS Angle for his starpower...one of the few they have at this moment.
-
UGH. I DESPISE "heel challenges face champ for several months and never wins" feuds. It makes the heel look awful. Besides, I just want Kurt to lose at Mania and go to Raw/retire. His options on SD! have been milked dry. I think it would be fine if they were actually...you know...CREATIVE with it. Move Angle to RAW? I really think all the moving around and brand changing ideas are just because they can't think of anything creative with what they currently have.
-
I think it's a really cool idea - It's also a ballsy move, since like you said none of these guys are TNA regulars, and it seems like the Canadian team will be played as heels this time, so it'll be interesting if we hear a buyrate for this one, or if they try and add stars like Jarrett, Raven and Styles to the show (even if it's just for an interview or whatever) to appeal to their more markish fans. Should be fun, though. I still need to see the AAA vs. TNA show!
-
Jeez man, think about how many times in the past year we've seen Big Show vs. Lesnar, Lesnar vs Angle, or Angle vs. Show. They've really used up those matchups at the top of the card, haven't they? I really think they'll do an extended Angle/Eddie feud for a few months. Cena should be the US champ, and I read that Big Show will need to take a few months off for (knee?) surgery. That leaves Cena without a really good feud, because they won't have Lesnar feuding over the US title, IMO. They did the right thing in elevating Eddie, but they need to elevate more talent as well...or, like you said, bring over a few RAW guys that aren't kidding much of a chance to shine there. Angle/Cena can still be turned into a lengthy feud, and I guess it's possible that Kane comes over to SD with Old School Taker too. I guess we'll see.
-
Well...Lesnar WOULD be added to the list if he hadn't botched the SSP!
-
Eh, Russo can be a good on air character, IMO.
-
From Keller's PBP it sounds like an "eh" show. But what do you guys think?
-
Wow, another dead night around here.
-
Oh, and my friend said the Dibiase match was Money Inc vs. LOD...but the only one I remember is from Summerslam 92, and I certainly didn't notice it there. But he's probably wrong and just dreaming about Ted's woody anyways.
-
Damn, 22 minutes...Fit Finley must be HOT.
-
WWE could make some money on it, don't you think?
-
Good God, what a topic I've started...

I believe Billy Gunn was injured, so they had to vacate the belts.

Story wise, though, it actually made a lot more sense here, with Austin hating Bret and not wanting to let go. Point taken, though.
