Should be a fun show. Cartman and Jimmy = comic gold. I'll be watching.
-
What should I be noticing in the Douglas pictures above? Also, does anyone have any pre-steroid HHH pics? When he first debuted in 96 he was a lot smaller, but when he returned from injury in 98 he was huge. Another good example is the Rock. Look at him when he returned and turned heel in 1997, joining the Nation. He's MASSIVE. Then look at him at Wrestlemania 20.

Franky and Beef were great as always. Franky is one of the best promo men on the indies, IMO, if you don't mind the vulgar language of course. Eddy getting head during the show was...interesting.
-
I hope they do a tournament for the belt and not some lame ass battle royal.
-
That's the important point. Fans can handle long term builds and storylines in other shows, why should the WWE be any different if they handled their storylines intelligently?
-
So they aren't going to hire any more cruiserweights? When guys like Rey retire the division will just be gone? I can see that happening... CM Punk is 6-1, about 220, so he's about as "small" as the WWE is willing to go. I really doubt he's going to get a contract if they're only looking for hosses. Samoa Joe is big enough, but I don't really see anyone else in the indies really able to get a chance in the WWE...which is why I guess Vince wanted to do this Tough Enough, since most of them are big guys. I'm sure we'll be seeing Matt Morgan again soon. And Heidenreich will stick around. Does OVW have any other hosses left?

I like the idea. I've seen something like that done in an e-fed before where a big feud ended where they couldn't face each other for a year but stayed competitive throughout that year and then fought each other the second the year time period expired. Your idea is a good one I think. The more long term planning, the better.

Rick Scaia has really long, detailed, rambling spoilers at: http://www.onlineonslaught.com/columns/oo/20041117s.shtml Some notes from that: -They had to film the end of the Chavo/Kidman match twice and they blew it both times (top rope Gory Bomb) so Chavo just did a normal one for the win. Chavo was met with absolute silence from the crowd during the match. -Crowd totally turned on the Tough Enough segment. Puder was the only one who got any positive reaction at all. -Angle's match was a squash, two minutes top. (I wonder where this little angle is going? The debut of somebody who beats him and is introduced into a big feud with Angle?)

Velocity: 1) Spike Dudley vs. Hardcore Holly 2) Big Show vs. 2 jobbers 3) Shannon Moore vs. Akio 4) Jindrak and Reigns vs. Funaki and Nunzio Smackdown: 1) Billy Kidman vs. Chavo Guerrero 2) Heidenreich vs. Charlie Haas 3) Kenzo Suzuki and Rene Dupree vs. RVD and Rey Misterio (non title) 4) Kurt Angle does a "hometown challenge" 5) Carlito vs. John Cena (US title) -Main event for Armageddon is announced

I don't see it as a big problem, HTQ. He lost clean to the biggest star on the show other than Undertaker. He has to take three months off anyways, so if they push him hard when he returns nobody is going to remember that loss to Cena other than the fact that they're 1-1 against each other now. I can see what you're saying, and I probably would have done it a different way, but I don't think this loss kills Carlito at all.

Non-spoiler Smackdown match listings for 11/18/04
JoeDirt replied to JoeDirt's topic in The WWE Folder
I wouldn't think it would be a spoiler if say Long booked a WWE title match at the top of the show between JBL and Booker T. But I DO think it would be a spoiler if he booked a WWE title match between JBL and a mystery opponent who turned out to be a returning Rikishi or something like that. That's how I see it. Though I doubt anyone is going to watch the show to see the guy Kurt Angle ends up wrestling, so this week's Smackdown isn't a big deal in that way. I wasn't sure how to post TNA listings a few weeks ago though when the main event was Styles/Hardy vs. Jarrett/Petey but there was an oncard angle where Hardy got attacked and Killings was put in his spot. How do you list it then? -

I edited it, though I'm not sure exactly what the rules are...Mods? -

I think it's a little early to say they have given up on Carlito. I'm surprised they didn't just strip him of the belt, but since he's going to be out 3 months, I doubt doing a clean job to Cena will hurt him that much. Maybe they can make an angle out of it, as Teddy forced him to wrestle when injured.

It's easy enough to get at wrestlingtorrents anyways. -
I still don't believe WWE wrestler was Willie the Worker. Meltzer confirmed it wasn't Hardy. There's a thread about this in general wrestling.

What were Mankind's debut vignettes like?
-
Lol, I know what you mean. Still waiting for mine to show up in the mail. Much better to buy it that way.

Well if you like deathmatches, then obviously King of the Deathmatch 2004. Other good shows from this year are One More Time, Stylin' in the Summertime, An IWA Fairytale, and the Revolution Strong Style Tournament.
