Wow, that flag to the gut and elbow to the chest would be enough to pin anybody.

Page won their first match. Also, there's proof right there that there's a way to make the younger guy lose without burying him. DDP lost most of his matches, but he was a very sympathetic common man, which helped him. He also got plenty of mic time and good lines and Savage was good about really selling the brutality of their matches, coming out the next night on TV all bandaged up and limping. He also was never portrayed as a coward, and always fought the odds straight ahead. Most didn't even notice that he lost so much because he was protected in other ways. Page also beat him when dressed as La Parka, right before BATB 1997.

Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder: The Whole Story
JoeDirt replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
That's why Meltzer talked for a paragraph about how you'd have to prolong the feud a long time to let Puder improve, and book it to hide weaknesses and accentuate positives. -
The dumb thing about Luger vs. Bagwell is that Luger got the win back in a rematch the next night on Nitro. Why not just give the babyface the win on the big PPV?

Got this off the DVDVR boards, I guess it's in this week's Observer: "-Apparently one of the ideas the fired Smackdown writer had was to have Heidenriech play a Frozen Nazi who has been in a block of ice since 1939" Come on, you have to admit that's funny.

Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Puder: The Whole Story
JoeDirt replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
That's kind of dumb they did this. Long article to read right before I go to bed. Wow. -
Kind of. He had a cage match with Booker for the belt in September of 2000. Russo won the match when Goldberg speared him through the cage door, I believe. The title was held up and Booker won a weird match on Nitro against Jeff Jarrett to win the title back. Why? It's Russo!

Thanks for all your times posting, S.D.

It's gotta be RAW IS MAVEN~! So now we get HHH defending the title for three weeks and beating Maven, Jericho, and Benoit...right? Or do you think they'll mix things up a bit?
-
He said it was a good match. That's about it.
-
That's what I figured going in. Some of the matches looked solid (though the SD SS match being bad was a disappointment), but without a big angle or surprise or anything I figured it would kind of be one of those "eh" PPVs.

They need a heel to do a skit where they mock Orton. That'd be hilarious.
-
I hate the Orton pose too. It's just so lame. *RKO* *POSE* Orton: HUZZAH!
-
Carlito won't wrestle, and he'll get stripped of the title.

Keller gave the Taker match *3/4. And it went 16:00??????
-
Yep.
-
I think the reasoning is that Heidenreich is a failure, so they had Taker end the experiment.
-
So, uh...the match is boring huh? Lots of punching, kicking, and choking?
-
I think last year's was 15:00, this was about 12:00. I propse they retire those matches. They're outdated and useless. It depends. I liked the SS matches last year. I think they're fine if you put something on the line in the match instead of just tossing shit out there.

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION!

Because he's an unstoppable power hungry politics playing asshole. Can we officially say that putting those guys in a Survivor Series match was a bomb? Nothing was accomplished and Angle looks like a boob. Are you kidding? SMACKDOWN WILL NEVER BE THE SAME~!~!~! Oh, okay...yeah, it was a pointless match.

Isn't Percy in bad health right now? I think that's why they got rid of the Paul Bearer character. Fun fact: I just realized like a year ago that Paul Bearer = pallbearer. Somehow I never got that before. I'm an idiot.

Skinner was awesome. I love his match with Bret at Tuesday in Texas.
