  1. For those who really follow, PWG, how would you rank the following DVDs from best to worst if I'm looking to pick a few up? -Uncanny Xmas -Card Subject to Change -All Nude Revue -All Star Weekend Night 2 -Guitarmageddon Thanks!
  2. While some would say Conway/Val had no point, the point was obviously to give Conway a win on RAW to establish his new character. The "pointless" matches are usually just that.
  3. Evans in ROH has been nothing short of excellent recently. He's getting better and better every time out.

    Bret Hart meeting WWE

Bret as ref for Hogan/HBK at SS would be great. And isn't a RAW before SS in Montreal?

The OAO Raw thread for 08.01.05

I loved the HBK promo and the beatdown on Cena. The rest of the show was just there.

    IWA:MS to run 'Lethal Lottery'

I look forward to the show...glad to see them doing something unique.
  10. I don't really care for Scott Keith's writing, but he asks a good question here: "With the finish of the Bash match between JBL and Batista (haven't watched it yet, by the way) being yet another DQ to build to another title match, this leads me to wonder about something that I'm too lazy to do the legwork for: Does this ever actually work? Has there ever been a case where doing a cheap DQ finish and pissing off the fans in the main event of one PPV leads to a second match between the people and draws a significantly higher number? There's been this hackneyed belief that this theory holds true within the WWE for years now, and I've never seen any evidence that a DQ finish is any more beneficial than just having the challenger lose and attacking the champion again to set up another gimmick match. Look at HHH v. Batista for a perfect example of that." So have their been any big programs that used a DQ to really be a really successful the next time around, as opposed to just having somebody lose and then do a post match attack?

    WWF/E Tidbits from the past

They were going to job Shawn out on that PPV to Dean Douglas and then have Shawn go on to win the Rumble and title a few months later? Just seems weird they'd give Douglas such a huge push by beating their hottest star at that time.

    Smackdown plans for Summerslam

The thing about Eddie/Rey is that its backwards, since Rey hasn't beaten Eddie so many times...where do they go from here? Eddie HAS to win some matches before a blowoff that Rey should win...which means this could go on for a while longer.

    Vengeance estimated buyrate

Got this off another board... "Internally, WWE is claiming the One Night Stand PPV did between 268,000 and 301,000 pay-per-view buys. InDemand claims the show drew 375,000 buys, as Viewers Choice is estimating 350,000 buys. credit: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter" Let the conspiracy theories begin!
