Wrong thread. Also, this gimmick is boring. But more important than either of these is the continued lack of snow. I will get to the bottom of this, I swear it.

DD, Wish the Pooh Me luck on the job interview that he in all likelihood already had. Belated, - Hoff

This was the thread that prompted me to invite you to WDI. Speaking of which, what the fuck; if you can post at this wasteland, you can post at that wasteland. Bitch.

Dear Diary, These two guys ^^^ are so lame. Make the pain stop. Also, where the fuck is my snow? Tired and ornery, - Hoff

I've always felt that FOX News gets seen as biased because they're not on the same wave as the rest of the media. Neither side is OMG SATAN or anything; Fox simply spins to the right, while CNN and co. spin to the left. All the networks are biased to varying degrees based on the anchor, newswriter, and all the other people that work on a specific show or story. That's why you can get a Hannity and Colmes type show on the same network that sings the praises of Ms. Ann Coulter. Even on the same network, there's varying degrees of bias. Once you hear a story, check every source you can, and form your own opinion. But don't immediately write something off just because you don't care for the network that broke it.

It makes great ammunition for WHOEVER ISN'T IN POWER. We just had a "Well, at least he knows the definition of the word 'is', hyuck hyuck" post here. Remember when that was the flavor of the month? Yeah...and the Dems aren't in power. I'm not saying the right doesn't do it just as much, just that, right now, the left are the ones going after the President (naturally). Maybe I'm misreading what you're saying, I don't know. Not a big deal anyway, the point wasn't intended to spark a grand debate on intelligence vs. speaking skills, or on who flings more mud. They're all pretty dirty anyway.

I'm old-school. August, 2001. Blue Smarks, banana Smarks, WDI, Hoff's, TSM, SNKT, UGS. I even signed up at Tom's CynicsRule forum, though I dunno if I ever posted. But I'd say I probably racked up about 3500 posts in two and a quarter years. Averages out to about four posts a day, which seems about right. Good times all around, I've met some cool people along the way, and through all the bullshit, I wouldn't change a thing. By the way, the following people were me at one time or another: Hoff HoffmanHBK HoffmanHHH HeelmanHBK Hollywood Hulk Hoffman HOTDOGFAQ and of course THE PIRATE IN WHITE~! ARRRRR ME MATEYS!!!!

No, I buy it, I'd just never heard it. I understand that speaking ability shouldn't reflect intelligence, but it's often perceived as such. It makes great ammunition for the left, at least in their own eyes. Not saying all liberals are like that, but many that I know do resort to it because it's easy and "fun." Bastards.
-
I'd actually never heard that, Mad Dog. You got a source or somethin'?

BORDERS!! Thanks, sexy Hexy.

Thus far I've checked two Targets, a Sam Goody, and a Best Buy, and shot 0-for-4. Just sayin'.

Oh cool! Except those don't exist in Minnesota. Damn. *grumbles*

The Cheat's flash animations are the trump card, but they're not really a spinoff of the main site, just another bit. In any case, I've heard people rag TGS a lot, but I'm always amused. I love the evil guy that always shows up and throws egg rolls or pilots a brain or something.

Well, I can't say I'm that familiar with marijuana, nor do I know anyone who smokes as a means of medicine or therapy. But, speaking from my limited personal experience with pot, I can say that I totally buy it as a means of almost theraputic relaxation. Outside of my Donkey Kong rampage through downtown Milwaukee, I've never not been relaxed -- both physically and mentally -- by marijuana. As far as physical pain, I can't attest, but given the chemical effect it has on the body (slowing down nervous responses, among other things), I don't find it hard to believe.

I found a rap about O-Ren on Kazaa. Was that on there? Because I thought that was pretty sad. And annoying.

I haven't been able to find this anywhere, sadly. To those who have, where did you come across it? I've checked both retail and music stores and no go.

*sigh* It's the difference between education and intelligence. On paper, Bush is a very smart man. That's probably very true, as well, as far as being well-read and knowledgable. However, he has made repeated blunders and "follies" on the national scene, and since that's all the public has to go on, it's understandable that he'd be perceived as unintelligent. Has the media contributed to this? Probably. But there's got to be something there in the first place for them to exploit (usually), and Bush has provided. It's a shame, though, that people have to pull that out in supposedly educated debates, since it's a trivial point at best and overshadows his qualities and failings as Commander-in-Chief.

Wait, did Diorama just get criticized for NOT holding a grudge? Stellar.

You're the new guy. Literally! Making bad jokes, Hoff

Stop your damn yappin', Numi. make it snow.

Just like any drug, pot affects different people differently. First of all, sometimes you don't know what you're getting with it (I had some shit last 4:20 that HAD to be laced with something...thought I was Donkey Kong...yeah), and secondly, different people respond to different chemicals differently. I guess the old axiom of "know thyself" would be appropriate here. That, and moderation, which is a good idea not just with drugs, but with anything at all.

That was awesome. Anyway, I think it's safe to say that, were Gore president, he'd be scrutinized as well, especially with the popularity of FOX News (first one to make the "faux news" joke is the biggest idiot, ever), but then again, he probably wouldn't get it as bad, because he didn't flip off the UN, start a war ("military campaign," whatever), and apparently fail grammar school. Now, I'm half-kidding, and I'm not trying to rag on G.W., but it takes a fool not to see that the man has made some highly controversial remarks and decisions, and those will always draw the media's eye.

HA! Man, I'd feel bad for Shawn on that one if he hadn't spent the better part of a decade prancing around in neon and streamers. And little hearts.
