Oh good lord. This is a lost cause.

Mole, don't post in here. Mole, don't post in here. Mole, don't post in here. Mole, don't post in here. Get to work, fucker. And yeah, OBVIOUSLY it's not meant for negative comments, moron. It's a thread to discuss the happenings of the current season. Thus, the "Season 4" subtitle. God, get a fucking clue. It would be incredibly easy to start a new thread entitled "Why is it called American Idol?" and state your case rationally -- in fact, I'd suggest you do that anyway. You can have a nice, open forum about how AI is awful and it's name is a misnomer and how it'd be so much better if Joss Whedon was on board somehow. All I'm saying is, maybe you wouldn't get the same backlash that you've gotten by POSTING YOUR SHIT IN A THREAD FOR AMERICAN IDOL FANS. But be careful that you don't accidentally hurt yourself by thinking too hard.

Fuck all, Super NES is where it's at. Of the "current" generation, between my roommate and I, we own all three, and the PS2 pretty much collects dust. I think a lot of that is my residual resentment at Sony for nabbing Square, and then making (in my humble opinion) inferior games. In fact, I want to try to get into more modern RPGs. So that may pick up...but right now, outside of HALO~, the Cube gets the most usage in a walk. The XBox gets a fair amount of play, as well. We pretty well like all genres of game, except he doesn't like sports games. So, I'd say we're a decent sample group. Take this for what you will, but it's just another opinion.

LOL, forgot about the backwards compatibility of the Revolution. The controls should be similar to the OOT style, since L-Targeting is in the game. Just kidding around, guy. So the graphical style will be similar to Wind Waker, then? Is that what's meant by the shonen comparison, or am I off? Because I gotta say, that's a major turnoff for an old-school fella like me. It still sounds like a pretty boss game, though.

God, damn. Mole, SHUT THE FUCK UP. No one is forcing you to watch, or care, or post in this thread. A thread full of AI fans don't want to hear about how bad you think the show is, let alone with a moronic argument like you've presented. There's a time and a place to debate these things, and this ain't it. Pick your battles. You dullard. So anyway, I gotta ask how my man Bo did tonight? I missed the show; passed out on the damn couch.

I got bored and feeling creative, and a few hours later I had this. Actually, this is my second try...the first one is pretty awful. This one's good though, even if I had to go with red instead of blue. One | Two | Three | Four | Five I'm simultaneously very proud of this, and somewhat ashamed. But more proud, I think. I'm gonna try and do more, maybe get a whole set going...Jesus, I need a girlfriend. Anyway, any input would be valued, if anyone here is artsy and/or craftsy, and if you're going to ridicule, pleas be kind.

Print it, sign it yourself. It's set up to be printed on a 5x7 sheet of paper, your local digital photo store can do this for you. Also, have fun in jail.

..... I don't think we should talk to this guy anymore.

Hmm. Well, that makes some sense then. Here's the thing, and this may be personal opinion, but it seemed like...okay, psychology, then it stops, and THEN the sense of desparation and frustration sets in. As opposed to the frustration being the reason for the psychology being abandoned. It WAS A nice touch to have the announcers mention the neck work later, when Dan went for the Heart of Ice towards the end I believe it was.

...what if we don't so much have the SmackDown games?

All right, part deux. Last Man Dancing...ridiculous concept, I love it. Kool and the Gang appearing at the disco was a nice touch. And a Dallas reference? How old are you, s0n? I'm just a little way through and I've got to say I'm in shock that there's an actual GOOD MATCH developing from this. The ON-J spot had me dying, and now it's a hardcore match of all things. I loved the bit in the middle with Hasslehoff and Gary and the cars. The match heads back inside and it's simultaneously serious and funny, and I love it through and through. Interesting ending...we'll see if anything comes of it on Thursday. Anyway, great match, to my very genuine surprise. Definitely steals MOTN honors right out from under SG and CWM's feet (sorry, fellas). Zack vs. Black: now, I wantto say up front that I did enjoy this match, it had a lot of fast action and cool spots. But I'm gonna levy some criticism on it, so I want that known up front that overall I enjoyed it. First off, I felt the psychology was lacking. There were two specific angles being worked here: the neck, and the mind games. Unfortunately, both seemed to be abandoned halfway through in favor of "let's hit all the cool spots we can." The mind games didn't bother me as much, because eventually both guys are gonna lose their cool and go at it. But the neck work by Black just seemed to be swallowed up in suplex after suplex (and I'll get to that in a second). Also, there was a big missed opportunity at the German off the top. When Zack landed on his face? I mean, why wouldn't Dan deliberately angle himself to drop Malibu on his head? Or, maybe he did, and Malibu shifted his weight to counter? Instead, it was just "the momentum of the move carried Zack to his face" and it did little to help tell a story. A cool spot, I give you that. And speaking of, how many suplexes did we need to see? I mean, I get that it's Black's bit, but both guys were more chain-suplexing than chain-wrestling. To me, it spoke of a bigger issue, and that's the lack of mat wrestling. Of course there was some, and what there was was good and solid. But in the end it got all sorts of spotty, and spots even ended up repeated because of it, and I thought that hurt the match. My only other issue is that I thought the wrong guy went over. Zack's a two-time champ; Black's a star on the rise. To me, he could have used the win more. But hey, that's between you guys and as long as you're both happy with it, good enough for me. Overall, let me reiterate, a very FUN match, although I honestly wouldn't put it as a MOTY candidate, or even MOTN. By the way, I thought that little line was a bit tacky. It's different if someone else says it, and maybe it will get that award, as everyone else has seemed to really like it. But it seemed...presumptuous? I dunno. Anyway. BRANNIGAN'S LAW! Sidenote: I miss Jesse as the governor of Minnesota. He wasn't very good, but I miss him all the same. The concept of a designer Battle Royal amuses me greatly. The explanation on the DDT was super chill. Actually, I'm really feeling the commentary as a whole thus far. This was a really, really good back-and-forth match, with good psychology and a hot, yet decisive ending for the champ. A GREAT first title defense. My favorite "match" of the night, although the Last Man Dancing was ridiculously entertaining. But both Tony and Axel should be proud of what the brought, capping off a good PPV with a great main.

We all do it, to be fair. But I guess all I saw was PRL yet again borrowing from the Rock and it made me groan a bit.

Let me just say, I don't mean to be cruel. It just sort of came out.

First of all, nice work by NYU on making everything run smoothly and naturally. It's not a HARD job, per se, but it does take effort and thought. He did well. I as well have it on good record it was KC who did the opening video package, and I was impressed. Really, I liked it a lot. Entertaining banter between Schiavone and "The Body," although not tough to figure out the author. But definitely up to snuff. And already we're no nipples. Gross. PK did an excellent job providing triple threat action for the triple threat match, so let thine fears be assuaged. Fun match, Brock looked dominant and PK smart, although I dunno if I'm buying the Bull Nakano Special. But we'll see. SOMEONE explain to me the "R" in love. Please. Damn, the Hitmen are f'ed up. Good match, and a nice twist with the HH out-and-out double teaming. I hadn't thought of that. I think it would have told a better story if Watts hadn't changed the match midstream, and that just seemed kinda screwy. It's like, the Docs did all this work to get better and prep for this, but they still can't beat HH without someone stepping in, even if he was leveling the playing field. I dunno. Got crazy at the end, which, given the nature of the match I did like. Nice to see the Docs finally pull it out, whatever the circumstances, and I really did enjoy the match. Rock/Shamrock, 1998 Royal Rumble. God DAMN, Alf is a dick. As I start the COD/NNMX match, my Winamp just randomly put up Cold's "Stupid Girl." Coincidence? Hmm. This match...I mean, it was all right, but it was almost too wordy, too "cute." Usually I love that about Patty's writing, but it was a distraction tonight and consequently I couldn't get into the match a great deal. I dunno, maybe it's just me. If it's any consolation, I did laugh a good deal. Can't say I *liked* the result, but it will be something new, at any rate. The finish was well-done. Cute Superstar bit. ***INTERMISSION INTERRUPTION: Malibu, I have an acoustic version of "Since You Been Gone" on my computer, if you'd like it. PM me and we'll set a time to meet on AIM. END*** I really liked the vid package before CWM/Some Guy. I wasn't around for ANY of it and it was cool to see the backstory. Odd trivia: I've already got a feud set up for...sometime in the future (omg welcome to the future), and I wanter to use CWM's entrance theme as the theme music for it, to set a vid package to and everything. You bastard, you ruined my life. The Somekick starting the match was cool, but the ref issuing a ten-count right then and there would have been a nice touch. The Someission outta nowhere was a cool spot, and I enjoyed this match. There wasn't a real deep psychology to it and there didn't need to be, outside of "they hate each other." Often, that's enough. Caboose coming down in spite of himself was a NICE touch, and the ending WAS actually a pretty brilliant piece of psychology. Thus far, this gets MOTN honors from moi. But I haven't read the rest yet. *dun dun dun* In case anyone was wondering, CC and I co-wrote our match, and I think we did a hell of a job. I know CC had some stuff come up, but I think it came out nicely, and as always, Ms. Chick is a joy to work with. I'm gonna call it a night, kids, but I'll finish this up tomorrow. I'm sure the remaining three matches are great, so there you go.

Share, bitch.

I guess I have a gift, because I envision a few spots I want to use as well as a general theme/psychology, then just sit down and write, with no outline and no real plan, aside of a rough idea of how long I want to go. And the match just comes together. The transitions write themselves, and somehow spots are built to and used properly. Sometimes I have to adjust slightly, and sometimes the length is off, but basically I just let it flow...so, I guess if I had any adivce to PK or anyone, it'd be don't think.

Hoff/Crystal est fini.

I actually think he looked his best clean-shaven with the new cut, right after he got it. I haven't seen RAW for a few weeks, but I hear tell he's going back to the beard. Boo, sez I. The crazy facial hair was fun for a while, but I think he *looks* best clean.

....well, this is assuming I don't blow up the board trying to post the PPV on Sunday. I'll still find a way.

Phoenix, AZ. You fools. And we don't all need to say "fallout from Living Anglelously."

This was like a BIG show, y'know? Six or seven matches, lots of GOOD promos, another BIG return...I think it's the best show (edit: the best HD, I mean) of the year. More expert analiysis later, but I gotta say NGA has BROUGHT this goods as champ thus far. Nice work, mon ami. More to come.
