I also enjoyed that match, I think if I remember correctly Sting tosses luger into the ocean or something as well.
-
Is this VHS or DVD?
-
Fair enough. Well I just wanted to add I'm interested to see what form this match takes on. Although I have a good idea it's going to be a game of cat and mouse with some involvement from Mayweather's posse.
-
I was just saying what I think would have been cool back then. I know they did things right back then and Tyson is a fuck up in real life so he would still be a joke. I was just offering up an opinion about a boxer in wrestling in a thread about a current boxer dabbling in wrestling. It's a post in a thread "not a horrible move to make" as you put it. I guess to make my point clearer. Mike Tyson is a bigger mainstream name than Mayweather and I was thinking had his stay been lengthened it could have helped even more.

This whole thing makes me wish they had been able to use Tyson as a special attraction at Wrestlemania years ago rather than a special referee. His career would have ended a bit better had he became a part-time wrestler and hung it up back then too.

It wasn't a backyard fed, it's a real fed that happened to hold one of their shows in a yard. They run here in Michigan usually in a local armory around Detroit. I'd say 1500 dollars is a pretty good price for a guy who's been in four of the major promotions of the last 15 years, and held the World title in two of them.

Let's Talk About..........The Natural Born Thrillers
The Buzz replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I liked the team of Stasiak and Palumbo. I thought O'Haire had a lot of potential, Sanders was pretty good on the microphone, and Reno was probably the one I liked most for his intensity in the ring. -

John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling
The Buzz replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Cena is talking as a fan in that article, and that's the way a lot of fans feel. There is nothing wrong with fans wanting The Rock to come back and wrestle another match or two just like their is nothing wrong with him focusing on becoming a full-fledged hollywood a-list star. If I remember correctly he wanted to come back for Wrestlemania 21 to wrestle Sting, but WWE wasn't willing to go that route. -
It killed Val's momentum, but could have been used as a tool to get Stevie up in the ranks because he had some killer heat from it. I think Chief Morley was the last time after that, that Val ever started to break through again. RTC would have been something cool to build up all year and use for a big Survivor Series match, but it came at the wrong time I suppose.

I got the idea that he had to protect his people from an evil ruler of some sort whenever I see the trailer, but I might be paying to close attention. Oh yeah and they like to show off their cool cgi sabertooth tiger.

Didn't Gorilla Monsoon and Ali have a confrontation? Edit: Oops missed it earlier in the thread.

Well I guess it's not really the last movie, as they are pretty much set to make the fifth installment. He's also doing a remake of Death Wish, directing a movie about the life of Edgar Allen Poe, possibly a movie about the murders of Biggie/2-Pac, and might be involved with the new Tarantino movie. I was reading a random article off of google that he's signed on for three more movies.

Supernatural is badass, but I'm always working when it's on. Suppose there is always dvds.
-
I've enjoyed Warrior's two commentaries in video form so far. He comes across much better in his video blogs than his written form. Also if you check out the liger debut match, check out Sasuke owning the dirtbike kid on the sidebar.

That was one of the things that may have bothered me a little bit about the movie. It was just really intense.
-
whats funny is how close the margin is between Rambo and Meet the Spartans its just a couple hundred grand.
-
All these Bossman things made me realize I'd love to see a dvd of Bossman.

Go to T-nation.com and look at the physique clinic for the bigger guys at the bottom of the main page. It has some good low carb/dieting info mixed in with the shameless shills. Hell the whole website is good even if you aren't interested in the supplements.

I hope he decides to work for Japan or somewhere he can possibly improve upon his game. I wasn't a fan but he had a pretty good look that just needs some tweaking.
-
My favorite role of his was probably The Order, which I know isn't his most beloved or known role. He was always atleast decent on the screen, and I was pretty shocked to hear him announced dead. Wasn't expecting that at the least. RIP

Sting losing the belt two days after BFG 07, or two weeks in tv time. What's the point in putting Sting over as a guy who can take an onslaught from both Nash and Angle and come out on top, and even though it was accidental he took a batshot to the face and no sold it for the win. It makes a for a good ppv moment, but in the long term why put the effort there if you are going to blow it at your next tv tapings. I mean I'm not saying keep the belt on Sting for 6 months or whatever, but they could have gotten two ppvs out of him as champion atleast. Kurt Angle rematch and then have him drop the belt the following month to someone fresh. The crowd shitting on Goldberg/Lesnar pissed me off a bit too. I know MSG is a tough crowd, so I'm not going to debate it since Goldberg was leaving just to leave and Lesnar was leaving for "greener" pastures. I mean the match hadn't even started yet when they started in, so I'm sure that the less than stellar effort from both men had to do a lot with the crowd. I think all of the rest I can think of have already been posted. Maybe the time Hogan cost Sting the match against Goldberg on Nitro pissed me off in a groaning sort of way. Hogan and Sting didn't really have an issue at the time other than they still weren't friends, and I don't think they had another match together for atleast 6 months so the Hogan interference was pretty lame.

I figured I'd post this here as I didn't see it anywhere else. I apologize if it's been posted already. Ken Shamrock and his son have both signed on with Elite XC I believe. As far as Kimbo vs Tank, I really hope the one punch knockout Tank shows up that night because I'd love to see someone give Kimbo a good ass kicking.

WWE General Discussion - January 2008
The Buzz replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in The WWE Folder
I just read a report on prowrestling.com that Big Show is set to return soon. -
Good point, well then I hope Angle unifies the belts and has a nice run as IWGP champion and TNA champion.
