Yes, there's no old versions of characters who weren't in old games. So no CE Dee Jay. Also the CPU NEVER picks older versions. You always fight ST versions in one player. The presentation of the game is all based on ST. In one player unless you use an older version it's like playing a straight port of ST. SF II The Animated Movie is on the disc as well as 3 different soundtracks and a slightly new intro. You can also look at the credits and intros from the older games. There was a Limited Edition released in Japan(which I have) that came with a few extras, like a DVD movie from Gamest, a mouse pad and a keychain.

I really like Die Hard Arcade and Dynamite Cop. Fighting Force was good. Never played 2, but it looked like it wasn't a beat em up. I want to try Gekido for PSX. SOR3's soundtrack is good. I like the character selection music.

I like just got around to buying the DVD and seeing the show. Jayne is the best part so far.

IGN just confirmed that rumor. It's coming out in the summer and will be called Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection. Eh, whatever. I have Hyper SF II already and have 3S on DC. I'll still buy this though...just to own it. Pit-Fighter sucks.

There's been some beat em ups since Tekken Force. Like I'd say the Buffy games are beat em ups. Dr. Zan does kind of suck in SOR3. I didn't like Max in SOR2 either though. Robot Y is indeed the robot final boss. I like Robot X, the robot version of Mr. X. Its cool how you go up to his office and he's in his chair like the end of SOR1 and 2 but then his skin burns off and it's a robot decoy.

Everyone used to always want to be Nightcrawler in X-Men. I liked Dazzler.

Rock and his cow vest.

SOR 3 is really underrated. It's got a bunch of new stuff like rolls, special attacks with weapons and a bunch of new moves. They added in cutscenes between levels to tell more of a story and have different paths you can go through. Also, Axel and Blaze look cool. Capcom Generations has a bunch of stuff. I don't think any of the beat em ups are on it, but I could be wrong. I know what we got as SF Collection 2 is Capcom Generation 5 or something.

I am just playing single player, but so far I really like it. Maybe the best since 3. Edit: I beat it tonight. Short, but good.

That thing is ugly and the price for each game is ridiculous. Dumb.

Jam TE on PSX/Saturn is indeed cool. All the new Jams post TE have not been made by the original development team. That's why they suck.

Hornets, Jazz or Lakers.

Good question. Tell that to Andrew, he's the one that's bashed Tekken based on Tekken 2 like twice now.
-
f, d, d/f+1+2 wasn't in Tekken 2. K's Flicker is just f, f+2 and doesn't have the crouch dash.
-
Not really.
-
Who bashed FF VIII? Gamefan is the only one I can think of. PSM, EGM, Gamepro, Next Gen, all loved it.
-
Yeah...all this talk about King's linking throws is nonsense considering you shouldn't get hit with the beginning throw in the first place. He does that crouch dash before them, it's not like the opening throws are low risk attacks.

The official Dawn of the Dead 1979/2004 thread

I really liked the news footage and scenes of all the chaos outside, especially in the beginning. That stuff is just freaky in movies. The whole idea of the end of the world and how people would react and what the news would be like is so fascinating and scary to think about. I wish there had been more in it. -
I'll pick it up Friday. I got the guide tonight though.

Actually, yes, you did. "Anyone who dared used Sub Zero and that freeze crap against me got their ass promptly handed to them."

Ok, I just did a little research on this. It's pretty funny, in a "the mighty have fallen" way. In the 70's Atari founder Nolan Bushnell sold the original company to Time Warner. After the crash of 1984 Time Warner sold the company to Jack Tramiel, founder of the Commodore. Time Warner retained the rights to the arcade division though, and split off to become "Atari Games". Tramiel's Atari went on to do the Jaguar and all that and Atari Games had Primal Rage and a few other titles. Midway bought all of Time Warner Interactive's stuff and I guess they got the games like PR, but not the "Atari Games" brand name. Then Tramiel sold his Atari to some company called JTS, who sold it to Hasbro, who sold it to Infogrames. I am not sure how Activision comes into play, I guess they just pay Infoframes(who is now called Atari) for the rights to use the name. So basically in the mid 90's there were TWO Ataris at the same time and now Infogrames is what's left of the original and Midway has the rights to the games the spin off Atari made, but not the actual name Atari. Rampage: World Tour is also in the collection, another pretty cool game.

That's just the AI. It's programmed so that almost everytime you throw they throw back or whatever. Against humans throwing is a lot easier, but if you hold back on the stick you can block any throw.

Yeah, I played a lot of FF1 too. The Genesis and SNES ports had the other characters playable. I have the Genesis one. Too bad it's missing Billy. It's weird that there's no girls at all in FF1. One of the few fighters not to have a token female. The Geese code is like hold left before going to the selection screen.

Midway bought them a few years before they got out of the arcade market themselves. Only the Time Warner Atari games though, some other company like Activision has the Atari name. The whole Atari rights situation is weird and convoluted. Midway also did Bio Freaks and Mace. None of them made by the actual MK team though.
