Edit: Ugh double post. Fun fact - The actor that played Nightwolf & the cyber ninjas is Sal Divita, semi-famous co-creator of the NBA JAM series.

Liu Kang's death happens in the intro to MKDA. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi double team him. MKDA roster: 1. Scorpion 2. Sub-Zero 3. Sonya 4. Kano 5. Raiden 6. Johnny Cage 7. Shang Tsung 8. Reptile 9. Jax 10. Kitana 11. Kung Lao 12. Cyrax 13. Quan Chi 14. Drahmin 15. Hsu Hao 16. Frost 17. Nitara 18. Kenshi 19. Mavado 20. Bo' Rai Cho 21. Li Mei 22. Blaze 23. Mokap 24. Moloch(unplayable sub-boss) 14-24 are the new characters who debuted in MKDA. Blaze is a special case though. You know how on The Pit II in MK II there's a guy on fire in the background? That's him....

Yeah but not everyone is a hoss. The controller is like a bohemoth! It's insane. I don't understand why they didn't design it with everyone in mind, even young ladies or the Japanese. We play the thing too. It's dumb to design a controller with just your own hands in mind. The Xbox controller is like the Jaguar controller. Both have that awkward fatness. Both are really wide, not just thick. So horrible. Plus the buttons suck. I hate the layout on S and the original has weird shaped buttons.
-
MGS2 is one of my favorite games ever. I've beat it like 12 times. I don't like the Xbox controller because it's so fat. It feels sooo thick. What was MS thinking!?

We don't know why the original Sub was back in UMK3/MKT. I don't even think it was actually him. It says when he removes his mask everyone is shocked to discover who he is, which implies it was someone else. Who knows what the deal is with that. He hasn't been seen since, so it's probably just a dropped storyline, much like what WWE does all the time. I agree people should stay dead. Dying in MK is meaningless since so many people have come back to life. I'd say it's the biggest flaw with the storyline. There is no drama or tension when people die. It's especially silly how death means nothing in MK when the big point of the game is fighting to the death. You're welcome. I could answer questions or talk about MK all day.

Yeah, the Sub in the modern games(that's unmasked with a scar) is the original's younger brother. The original Sub has only been in MK1, MKM and maybe UMK3/MKT as a hidden character. The main Sub-Zero since MK II is the younger brother. He looks so old in DA because of his new Dragon Medallion. Since he is now Grandmaster he gets it and it makes him much stronger. The aged look is it's power taking a toll on his body.

Guncon 1 works on PS1 games and some PS2 games. Guncon 2 works only on PS2 games.
-
I don't know of any good universal guns. I have one for Saturn and PSX but it really sucks. The only console lightguns I use are the two Guncons. I love that genre though.
-
I'm not an Xbox fanperson either. I play HOTD III without a lightgun, but most people seem to hate the genre using a controller. Also if you like lightgun games they just released a collection of all 3 Silent Scope games and there's a new Sniper controller out.
-
Yeah, the first is more polished.
-
I'm no Xbox fanboy, but you really should at least try KOTOR. Buffy is one of the better post 16 bit era beat em ups. HOTD III is a pretty cool old school lightgun shooter.

I think it's like, he has a big ego and thinks he is good, yet he never wins, so that makes him obnoxious..so everyone will boo him.

In MK1 it's clear Scorpion is the face and Sub-Zero is the heel. Sub-Zero is put over as being cowardly and Scorpion is really sympathetic. But with later games like MKM I would say old Sub is a tweener. He decapitated Scorpion, but they were rivals. When Raiden told him he was evil he seemed taken back and upset. He got the Amulet back, that has to be worth some major hero points. In MKM Sub comes off as someone who is capable of both good and bad and realizes he is heading towards the dark path.

Maybe your problem is distance? You have to be the correct distance or the Fatality won't work, no matter if you do the correct motion. What? Running and dial-a-combos? Yeah, they are in to quicken the pace...and it worked. It's what makes MK3's gameplay superior to MK II. Is holding a run button hard for YOU? The run button should be a minor thing. What's the big deal? Running, dial-a-combos and the modern, almost futuristic setting of MK3 make it the best. The robots are cool!
-
Yeah, I always see MKT on PSX for 9.99 new. Some of the new stuff is lame and poorly done...but the game is still MK3 with nearly 40 characters and almost every stage from MK, MK II and MK3. I play it like twice as much as any other game in the series just because it's so huge and complete.
-
Those credits are cool. Andrew being a regular would have been the best thing ever. Kennedy being one is a horrible though though. If Tony Head came back full time I wonder if he'd get his spot back as the last person......
-
A lot of people hate the MK3 characters and setting since it's more modern and Earth based than the cheesy kung fu and mystical settings in MK and MK II. Also some hate the dial-a-combos and running.
-
No way! What's next? You don't like Xenogears!?
-
I am pretty hyped. MGS and MGS2 are two of my all time favorite games, easily in my top 5, so this will rule.

MKDA has this mode called Konquest that is like a tutorial or training mode. It teaches you all the moves and chain combos for each character. The cool thing is that inbetween the lessons(and often part of the lessons) is vast amounts of story. MKDA has the most detailed and in depth story in the series. It also covers a bunch of stuff in the past games that we didn't know about before. Things like Sheeva killing Motaro are from MKDA. As far as MKT goes...what do you think about MK3? A lot of people that bash MKT also hate MK3. If you don't like MK3 I doubt you'd like MKT. If the idea of MK3's gameplay and story plus tons of old school levels and characters sounds appealing then you'll probably like it. MKT is my favorite game in the series and the one I play the most BY FAR. The PSX and Saturn versions are the best versions of the game. I don't know what you'll think of MK4. A lot of people hate it, even more so than MK3. I don't like it as much as the first 3, but I think it's pretty cool. The problems are that most of the new characters are lame, the weapons are not implemented very well and it was very rushed(especially the arcade version). On the plus side it basically plays like MK3 and has some really cool Fatalities. seeing The Prison stage fatal & Quan Chi's leg rip fatal is worth the price alone.

I don't know, but I doubt it's the much saught after butch lesbian girls that are wrestling fans demo.

Vince could hire these men to build it.. **Undertaker punches Brock-Bot's head off** UT: Brock's a robot!? Did everybody else know Brock was a robot?
-
Cinematic action/adventure titles like MGS or True Crime may also be my favorite.
-
Yeah, that stuff was funny. I like his DA ending, with the poster for MKDA: The Movie.

Cage died inbetween MK II and MK3. When Kahn took over the Earth right before MK3 one of Kahn's extermination squads killed him. We don't know exactly who did it. The squads were Centuars like Motaro though, so it wasn't Kintaro. If it was anyone in particular it was probably Motaro, but who knows? It could have been a group of them. At first he was allowed back because his soul couldn't go to Heaven during Kahn's invasion. When Kahn was defeated his soul went to heaven and he died agian. Then before MK4 Raiden brought him back permantly to help fight Shinnok. Cage no selling dying and making movies like nothing happened is something I've wondered myself. It's pretty silly. I think it's just because Midway wanted to use him as a goofy comic relief character(like how the movie has him) instead of focusing on a serious story about him dying. I suppose the explination could be that nobody on Earth knew about it so he just returned like he had been missing or something. In MKDA they make fun of the whole thing with his movie "Mortal Kombat: The Death of Johnny Cage". The difference between Scorpion and Cage's deaths is that Scorpion made a deal with demons. He is a spectre. Like a ghost or whatever. Cage just got his soul put back in his body and is as good as new.
