I know what the Hellmouth is. That's the whole point: since when was it or it's entrance a cave of ubies? It just came out of no where. What bugs me the most about Caleb was that he ended up meaning nothing at all. They built him as a threat, even going so far as to have him permanently injure a main character and for what? So he could get owned in the opening? I could accept his vague origins and all that if it actually meant something. The final battle is so anticlimactic, they should have used him him with a bigger, more important blow off. What a waste.
-
No, I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD.
-
They called the ubie cave the Hellmouth. So why can it enter Caleb already? What's so special about him?
-
What happened with Joyce in CWDP doesn't match FE at all. That wasn't just the usual harassment from it. Also Buffy was having dreams about Joyce. It really seemed to be building up to something... Important for what? Apparently not the seal since it thought Jonathan would open it. The first half of the season is basically devoted to FE wanting Spike. It was clearly more than just "it wants to screw with Buffy's friend". They weren't really connected at all. Buffy gave them all power to beat the ubies, not to correct the slayer line or to balance the scales or whatever. In the first half of the season FE was doing all this because the Slayer line was messed up, it was killing SITs and planned to eventually end the slayer forever. Then this suddenly switched gears to "lots of ubies makes me FE flesh" plan. So FE is just a dumbass? You'd think a primordial being like FE would know how it's seal thingy works. So much for being "BEYOND DEATH~!". It can't even open a little doorway. How come Jonathan's blood didn't work and it appeared Spike's was special, but then later any blood worked? Xander's worked and in the end the slayer's worked. FE said Jonathan's wasn't enough, yet later Buffy can cut her arm and it opens wide up. Yeah, but why? Why would tons of ubies allow it to do this? Just because it says so? Also originally it said it was tired of the mortal coil...then it wants to become one?
-
But it's still incorporeal when it merges with Caleb.
-
Yeah, but why? Why would tipping the scales = it is made flesh? In End of Days it says: "And for me as well. Look, when this is all over and our armies spring forth and our will sweeps the world, I will be able to enter every man, woman and child on this earth, just as I enter you." Which is it? It will be made flesh or it will be able to merge with everyone? And why can it only merge with Caleb until the scales tip?
-
Those are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dropped stories or halfassed stories in season 7. Joyce harassing Buffy and Dawn went no where. FE wanting Spike went no where. Ending the slayer line went no where. Why was FE messing around with Jonathan and Andrew? What's with all the "Wood is evil" hints early in the season, like Wood nonchalantly burying Jonathan's body? Why is FE able to merge with Caleb? What exactly was FE's plan? How come it's goal with the ubies went from "I will be able to enter any man, woman and child!" to "I will become flesh!" out of no where? Why would having tons of ubies = FE is made flesh in the first place? Where did the seal come from? Why is the Hellmouth now a cave full of ubies? Luckily for Joss the nature of FE as the villain allows for weaksauce explnations like "well it was messing with Spike and using Joyce to scare Buffy/Dawn just to weaken the good guys" even though it's REALLY obvious they had big plans for that stuff and just dropped them. The whole season has horrible pacing, where it jumps around and drops things only to bring them back later like nothing had happened. Like early in the season FE gets Spike to kill again and he fights it off and everything seems fine. Several eps later Giles goes nuts over it demanding Spike get rid of the trigger and is so worked up over it he's willing to betray Buffy. WTF? Spike wasn't even killing anymore, it was a non-issue. If he was going to do something as wild as going behind Buffy's back he should have done it ages ago. It seems like they had no idea what they were doing in the last half of the season, probably because they were unsure about spin offs.
-
I'll buy it if it comes to the US.
-
Maximum Carnage and TMNT are both cool.
-
You could watch season 7 of Buffy 60 times and still not make sense of all the plot holes, continuity errors and dropped storylines. Joss and the others were as bad as WWE's creative team for that debacle.

I'm not into imports. I don't have the American DBZ games and don't really want them. Yeah it is. I have it on Genesis. Battle Monsters? Got it. It's funny. No to both. Ballz really sucks though. I have the SNES one. That's enough for me. I wouldn't say it counts. Game is overall a beat em' up. The Saturn port is enough for me. Here is my list... 1. Street Fighter(PC) 2. It's like a hybrid of UMK3 and MKT. It has the roster of the 16 bit UMK3s, the story retcons from MKT and some original stuff like Rain & Ermac's new Friendship and a bunch of new or modified Fatalities. Plus it's got a new name. New name = new game.
-
Yes, Kasumi Ninja is the kilt fireball game. Angus McGreggor is the name of the guy. It is Vortek with a K. I am running out of bad fighting games to buy. Good fighting games at that. Besides SNK stuff I don't know what else to get.
-
I don't say MK1 on Gameboy because there's actually good versions of MK1. MKA on GBA is the only version of MKA and so it's the worst overall game in the series.
-
It's so exciting that we've got all this news in just a few days time. We already know over 10 of the characters! Info came out sooo slow with MKDA. I can't wait until E3, where it will be up and playable. MKO is going there and will cover it like they did with DA in 2002. I really want more details on the story.
-
MKO just confirmed all this stuff. It's true. Also in the article there is a drawing of Bo' Rai Cho fighting Smoke(as a human).
-
Ok someone over at MK Online claims they got the new PSM in today. None of this is confirmed, but according to them... Nightwolf is indeed in. The bald guy with the pony tail is an alternate outfit for Sub-Zero Sindel and Kenshi are shown. There's a pic of someone who looks like Kitana, but they're not sure. The girl in white with the hat is a new character named Ashrah. Hotaru is a new character who "resembles Quan Chi" Konquest mode is back and radically changed. You now pick a character and play as them through an epic adventure where they age and learn new moves and get new outfits. It involves tons of MK characters, past and present. The story takes place right after MKDA and the new villain is The Dragon King, who was first built up in DA. The core gameplay is the same as it was in DA. Every character has two Fatalities and a Hari kari move. You can kill YOURSELF! Two mini-games are in. One is a MK version of chess and the other is a puzzle game they compare to Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It even has kiddy anime style versions of the characters like Puzzle fighter. Sounds crazy. I hope this guy isn't BSing, as this is all cool. Sindel!

Those are 3 cool games. At least in the sense that they'll be funny to mess around with. Ultra Vortek and Kasumi Ninja are MK klones and Fight for Life looks like one of the worst 3D fighters ever. I can't wait. I really want to try Shadow: War of Succession for 3DO too.
-
MK Advance is the worst MK game ever.
-
I don't want a Neo or Neo CD because eventually I'll get a MVS cabinet. I got a Jaguar today. I bought it so I could play Kasumi Ninja, Fight for Life and Ultra Vortek!
-
Yeah, MKTE is an upgrade to MKDA. Actually more of an alternate version. It's the half of the game they cut from the first MKDA to fit on GBA, plus a few extra stages and a few new characters(Sareena, Sektor and Noob).
-
I want the old ones just to own them. Just for collections sake. I have like every major fighting game ever except a bunch of SNK stuff. They need to put the older games on mainstream consoles. I'm too lazy to get a AES or MVS.
-
I figured Noob would be back because so many people were pissed he wasn't in DA. For some reason Noob is really popular. Everyone thinks he is "mysterious". I say he is more "halfassed". It's just Scorpion colored black with a vague story! That's not "mysterious" or "interesting".... Noob was in MKTE, but nobody seems to have cared about that.
-
Cool. I'll get it. I want 94, 96 and 97 on a US console.
-
MKO says TeamXbox claims MK3 is part of it, they're not sure if it's legit yet. If MK3 is part of it I want UMK3 too.
