I like SOR 3 a lot. I'd put it over any Final Fight.

I got King of Fighters 2000/2001 for PS2 the other day. I got and have since beaten Manhunt, Max Payne 2(Xbox) and Prince of Persia(Xbox) a few weeks ago. I think I may get Beyond Good and Evil next.

I did not think much of Gippal, in fact it really bugged me when he was in Yuna's face. He came off as obnoxious to me. I liked Baralai though.

In what way does the 32X port of MK II own the SNES one? I have never understood the hype for this port(or the Saturn port, for that matter). 32X MK II is basically the Genesis port but STILL not as good as SNES. The sound is better, but is still weaksauce(still missing most of Kahn's taunts, music is still nothing like arcade). The graphics are the same, but with more colors....so it looks like crap, it's just more colorful. Gameplay is still messed up, with the same screwed up collision detection for mid air strikes. Goro's Lair, the intro pictures and the prematch pictures are in, but it's still missing many little details(like ending pictures, win poses cut, Kahn's death scene, the cast of characters in the credits). The only thing I'd give 32X over SNES is the intro. You can do all kinds of stuff to the baby, Baraka's blades is just the most famous. You can do a babality after the first Babality. You can do a Friendship. You can do just about anything. It's only in arcade 2.1 though, so who knows what they're talking about with the home ports.

Eh, I have a hard time taking VI's sprites' emotion seriously. Yeah, they have faces, but they're still little deformed sprites. VII, VIII and IX's graphics haven't aged well though.

The person who made it didn't mean for it to be taken as real. It is made by using an emulator.

How is the finger wagging or Kefka spazzing out any different than Sephiroth's evil laugh, Cait Sith's dance, Rinoa putting her arms behind her back and leaning foward, Squall grabbing his forhead in frustration or Steiner jumping up and down? All of the polygon games have a bunch of those little animations, if not more.

The win quotes are not as good as the ones in the previous games. I have yet to see any bad insults like "dweeb" or "weenie". I like the Brock Engrish in 2001. "Here come the pain".

You can beat Kefka without Terra in the party, but she always shows up in the end and is the main focus of the ending.

What bugs me is that at the very beginning of VII Cloud is like Squall, really anti-social. He tells Barret he doesn't care about the planet and just wants money, he is cold to Jessie and the others, and pretty much blows off Tifa when she talks to him about their childhood. Then during the reaid on Shinra HQ he just kinda changes out of no where.

I like the SNES Raiden and Sub-Zero Fatalities. No blood, but still pretty cool. The Cage and Kano ones are just awful though. The blood on Genesis is overrated. It looks stupid, especially compared to the arcade. Like on arcade there is so much impact, with the chilling music and screams.

MK1 Genesis vs. MK1 SNES can really go either way. SNES has far better graphics and sound effects, but Genesis has much faster and responsive gameplay. Genesis version even plays better than the arcade. Genesis also has more small details than SNES, like the pictures in the endings and bios. Though SNES does have Shang Tsung's death scene. Plus the blood issue... SNES MK II and MK3 are so superier to Genesis it shouldn't even be up for debate.

Genesis MK1 is superior to SNES MK1. MK II, MK3 and UMK3 are superior on SNES to Genesis.

The story to 2000 makes like no sense. WTF is up with Ling and Zero? It's funny how messed up it is. The text goes by so fast it's hard to keep up with and what you can read makes little sense.

Well what about V to VI? VI is a lot less complicated and customizable than V.

It's funny that Yoko is on the box art, yet not actually in the game on the SNES version.

That is not true, but it is possible to see a character covered in green stuff. In MK1 for Genesis if you get to Reptile on an Endurance match his partner will be a fucked up green character. It's not really a hidden character, their sprite is just messed up. Another glitch like that is in the SNES port. If you do Raiden's Fatality in Endurance Match 3 on MK1 for SNES Goro is covered in silver crap when he comes down.
