Heihachi was the only one that actually fit. Besides being from the future he looks like he could be in the game. A martial arts expert who uses gauntlets instead of a sword is a design Namco could have actually put in and nobody would have questioned it.

Just because they weren't trying to shoot ice at each other doesn't mean they weren't acting out Mortal Kombat. The game didn't make them do it but everytime something this like this happens gamers are quick to deny the game had anything to do with it at all. This is the 3rd MK copycat death since 2000. I am open to the idea of ending the series and sending Ed Boon to jail.

It was a terrible and embarassing show but at least they got rid of all the useless categories like "cyber vixen" and all those voice acting awards. I called Bioshock winning. It's the safest choice for them. It's a 360 shooter but still artsy enough to give them hardcore cred. The panel is actually made up of major game journalists from magazines and the popular sites. Not that it matters since I'm sure the producers are in charge.

Forget online play, PS3 and 360 are getting a full remake of Super Turbo while the Wii gets the SNES port of regular Super.

I would hope Andrew wouldn't pay money for SF on Virtual Console. It's the SNES version and it doesn't even have online play. That's just silly.

The original EC fatalities are in that video. The original only had the stage fatals and they were kept for the sequel. The electric sign, theater drive by, fan, and so on were from part 1. They just added some blood effects. The original had some blood but nothing crazy like that. I think the only one totally replaced was in Jetta's stage(the balcony). In 2 the dragon statues come to life and eat the opponent. In the original there was an earthquake under the opponent and they fell in. I would not want to play EC in 2007. Especially if I had to pay for it.

Uncharted is great. It's the platforming of POP and the new Tomb Raider games with the combat of Gears of War backed up with high production values. Likable characters, good voice acting, and amazing graphics and animation. Everything looks good, even small details like walking down stairs. The only game I've played this year that comes close is Assassin's Creed. "It's like playing a movie" is a worn out way to hype a game but it's so true for this. If there is any justice this will be brought up in GOTY discussions.

I don't care enough about Heavenly Sword or Ratchet to go in depth about them. I haven't played Ratchet and I've already talked about HS enough at other places. Which means I also suck at forum discussion. That's why I didn't go into the Wii thread to tell everyone how WIi has no games because I'm not interested in Smash and Mario. That's true but there isn't any shame in being a downloadable game these days. At least there shouldn't be. But PS3 has Tekken 6 exclusive. GOTY 2008.

If you're discounting an entire game because of points like not original enough, no multiplayer or "I'm just not interested in that" then you could narrow down the library of every system. If we're doing that I need to start posting in the Wii thread.

What's generic is saying PS3 has "no games" and then backing it up with ok yeah there's those but well....they don't personally interest me. There were 3 main problems that caused PS3 hate. Price, exclusives and bad multiplatform ports. All 3 are being taken care of. 2008 is going to be very good. I don't think it has much chance to outsell 360 but for game quality it should be a close rival.

The shape memory alloy key card puzzle in MGS. Who thought this would be fun? It's so boring. You're doing nothing but back tracking to an area you just got past and then standing around. All for nothing but a story point that didn't even matter.

Conan is pretty bad. It's like a God of War clone bit stiff and poorly animated. So basically it doesn't feel and look good which is what makes GOW fun. Horrible cutscenes too.

I only played multiplayer in the first. What super weapon? If there is one in 2 then that's a weapon balance problem not the fault of the shield mechanics.

What's broken about it in one on one deathmatch? Shield recharge encourages taking cover and gets rid of the archiac medpack/recharge station way of regaining health. I just played through Bioshock and kept thinking of it. Why am I collecting these first aid kits and hitting a button to activate them?

Honestly I think it's just lazy and cliche gaming journalism writing then a double standard or some evil agenda.
