Yeah that's a big part of the reason I stopped paying attention to the gaming press. It's not news, it's just press releases. It's like they're all so afraid to ask the real questions. If they would all start acting like real journalists they wouldn't have to worry about pissing off the companies. MS deserves to be grilled about all this. How can it be months after launch and the systems are still nearly impossible to find? What is the explination for this? I don't care about damage control and BS like "we didn't expect this much demand". I want to know the real reason and when it's getting fixed. Just how many are defective? What are they going to do about it? 1Up was right about the weak graphics. The 360 is not what I would consider next gen. What does MS have to say about this?

I have Xbox TT. It has horrible graphics. The hair looks like a PSX release. Neither game has deep combat requiring any strategy but GOW's is smooth, looks cool and the magic attacks are fun. TT's is so stiff and sluggish. Like I hate how it takes a decade just to stab a grounded enemy. POP games have great design but bad execution. There is like no polish at all. GOW is an overall great experience. Have you go to the part where you see Aeries destroying the town? Nothing in TT is as cool as that.

More polished, much better combat. TT looks bad while GOW hs excellent graphics.

I called MS to get it fixed Saturday. They told me they'd send the box it ship it in overnight. It just arrived today. It's the wrong box!

If the Alpha 2 is SF Zero 2 Alpha(Gold) then I would think A3 would be Alpha 3 Upper.

Not that interested. I already have Alpha 3 on CPS2 and have no desire to play 1 and 2 anymore. I really don't care about any Alpha anymore. Since I really got into 3rd Strike it's been difficult to play any other SF. Enough versus games, ports and collections. Make a new game already.

X6 is still better than the 3D X games. they should have put Xtreme 1 and 2 on there instead of crappy Battle and Chase. God it's so bad.

I was really annoyed by x6 last night. The CONSTANT one hit kill traps get old and I can't tell you enough how much I hate the dark version of the rain turtle stage. It's like every stage has something obnoxious in it. The worst was when I made it to Gate's stage as Shadow X but forgot to equip the jumper and hyper Dash. There's a wall jump near the end that is impossible without that specific combo of power ups. I had to die on purpose and restart the whole stage. So what is the point of lives in the PSX era X games? In most MM games there are checkpoints where if you lose a life you return at that point but if you lose all your lives and continue you must start the entire level over. In X4-6 if you lose your lives and continue you just start at the latest checkpoint. In other words there's no difference between dying and losing a life and selecting continues. There is no reason to collect extra lives. The only point to running out of lives is allowing you to select continue or go back to stage select. They could have just had an option to return to the select screen in the weapon menu instead. It's like they put the lives system in and forgot to actually penalize you for losing them. I like the new system since I hate starting a level over but it just seems like a strange oversight. Battle and Chase is one of the worst games I have ever played in my life. I have a VERY high tolerance for bad games but I will never finish this one. I couldn't even stand going through the entire second race.

So it's......faster? Leave to the journalists at Gamepro to give you the inside scoop! Do throws still pass through the opponent if they are recovering from a stun or attack? Do only a handful of lows hit grounded opponents? Is the window for counters still huge? Is it still the same old weaksauce DOA?

Well yeah. Nobody is going to post "I just got my 360.....and it's working great!", they're going to be talking about how they like the games.

Condemned is probably my most anticipated game to play. Looks like it has great atmosphere.

I've heard people saying some Fight Night demo started making their system freeze. DOA4 doesn't even freeze when the game is loading something. It seems to be completely random.

I'll play SC III more when the arcade version comes out.

Yeah but in my defense I've spent more time making fun of it than wanting to play it and when the 360 arrived in the mail instead of immediatly hooking it up and playing it I left for the arcade and didn't open it till the evening. Playing SC2/T5 was more important to me than the brand new console.

It takes a lot to get me really angry. I was reading old replies to this thread and it's funny seeing me defend the rumors of broken 360's and buying systems at launch. I do like the controller though. I never did get the S controller so playing on a XBox pad that isn't gigantic is nice. The system itself looks cool too.

I had my 360 up at first but it tipped over in like 30 seconds. I am still shocked about it being broke. I guess it's really not that big of a deal. A lot of electronic stuff must be defective. I just never expected mine would be one of them. The way it happened was so weird. I was talking to Andrew at the time ranting about DOA 4 not meeting my standards for what next gen gaming should be and it just crashes. It couldn't have been more comical timing.

They use Soul Body from X4 in X5. Maybe the powers are kept and are just not used. The drop off in quality from X4 to X5 is unbelievable. None of the levels, powers or boss fights in X5 are interesting. The Gaea armor sucks. The thing where bosses gain levels and get more HP is pointless. The translation makes no sense. They hyped up X and Zero fighting ever since X2 and it ended up being over a misunderstanding that barely even makes sense. The one cool thing about X5 is the Wily references. I hate how they basically came out and said Wily and Light are somehow "alive" and have not explained it furthor after 3 other games.

It depends on how fast they get it back. The guy on the phone seemed bored and uninterested but that is just one employee. They're fixing it and apparently doing it fast. Can't really ask for much more.

Yeah, overnight shipping. It's still disappointing though. I didn't even get an apologly from the guy on the phone.

I don't see the date. Already called MS. They're going to fix it for free. Whatever, now I have to wait even longer. What a diaster.

It completly locked up. Had to reset. It locked up again. It's locked up 4 times now. Can't play more than 4 fights.
