An old guy with a whip is not as cool as a samurai.

DMC2 isn't that bad. It's still worth playing. It's weird how everyone hated 2 because it was too easy so Capcom made the US version of 3 harder and everyone complains about that. I still think Oni 1 was probably the best. 2 gets so weird towards the end.

In like the span of a week I've beaten RE4, Urban Reign, X-Men Legends and am halfway through Legends 2. Plus daily Tekken 5. Next up: Two Thrones.

VF4 Evolution is missing some modes from regular VF4. One where you train an AI character to fight like you and a kumite mode which is basically a never ending survival mode where you earn ranks and custom items. The new quest mode in Evo replaces Kumite and is much better. Evo is the way to go. But get Tekken 5, it's better. Devil May Cry and Onimusha are both great action series.

It's fun to beat them as quickly as possible, just dashing through everything. I think X1 is still overall the best. Doubt Capcom will ever top it. X4 may be easy but it's still great.

I always do. I don't move to another game till I am done with the current. Anything I have no desire to finish I sell.

X3 has too much crap to collect and bad pacing. You don't get all the good stuff until the end and it takes a bunch of backtracking. When designed right you should be able to get the powerups as you playthrough the levels the first time if you play in the right order. That is why I like 1 and 4 the best, you can just fly through the game once you have it memorised.

I didn't say they should have.

Liu Kang dying would have been a great shock if I hadn't known about it for such a long time before the game came out. They didn't even try to keep that a surprise.

Quan Chi's ending in MK4 revealing that he had Shinnok's amulet the whole time, fooling Raiden, Sub-Zero, Shinnok and basically meaning the last half of MK Mythologies was a scam. Say what you will about the quality of those two games and the MK story but that was a great twist that made sense and set up the rest of the series.

The bit about Cyclops apparently shooting flames from his sunglasses is the greatest thing I have ever seen in a review. I can sort of see where he's coming from though. If you didn't know anything about X1 you'd be totally lost. Ebert saying this movie crosses the line makes me want to see it just out of curiousity.

I love the part where they're in the giant gerbil tubing and she tells him to hold on.

I never get tired of watching MKA. It's so crazy. I have never quite understood the dragon tattoo thing giving them access to Earth. Why add that in?

I think SF has an unfair reputation. It's funny and it seems to be silly on purpose. The changes are weird but don't seem that big of a deal. MK movie is just as different from the game but that's never stopped everyone from loving it. I think i'd actually rather watch SF movie than MK.

How come Chun Li's costume wasn't blue in the movie?

Cammy's game outfit is stupid anyway. Yeah she really looks like a special forces agent...

I was just thinking about that a couple days ago when playing through RE4 for PS2. There's this part where Ashley is captured by a randomly placed trap where she leans against the wall and steel bars come out of no where and grab her. It's like, why would the castle builder have installed secret metal bars to kidnap people that just happened to lean against that particular wall? Then later on there's a tunnel that has....spinning blades.

What was the point of a worldwide launch when MS can't even get enough systems out? How could such a large company be so incompetent? This is like a Nintendo style debacle.
-
I've given up getting a 360. Looking around was getting me frustrated. I'm going to Best Buy on the 18th when it opens and I better find one. MS is so incompetent. I want to give them $400+ if they'd just have the product....

Too bad. I liked the Lunar translations and the guides.

They should have had Juggernaught in X2 as a minion for Stryker. If I had any problem with X2 it was the lack of a credible villain. I liked Brian Cox and the idea of a human villain as the mastermind but he needed mutant henchmen to make him a threat. Those soliders were a joke. The final battle was basically nothing more than the mutants coming up with creative ways to completely own the soldiers. Deathstrike was cool but she only fought Wolverine at the end and Cyclops being under his control lasted for like 5 minutes. I am glad Magneto and the Brotherhood seem to be the big villains instead of bringing in someone new. They've been building to this for the entire series, he has to be the big bad. It's just stupid .

I am giving it a chance. I like the trailer overall. I'm just worried. The first two are some of my favorite movies so I'd hate to see the third be different and bad. The problem isn't Rattner, it's the script based on the spoilers. I am happy there's no ridiculous villains like Apocalypse. I don't care about the cartoons or the comics so I have no interest in seeing something like that in a movie. I'm also happy they seem to be going with Jean just joining Magneto instead of a weird supernatural sci fi pheonix story.

The commercial with the vines and the green fat guy is horrible.
