Last night I did better then I have any right to be doing at this point with 3AK, 3B, 22/88B, AAB, BB, 66A+B, 3B+K, 2+A+B and 9K. Besides mixing up B and throws what should I be doing with her A+K spin? Is 1B, FC 3B really her best option for juggles? I constantly screw it up by either doing while rising B or the low feint on accident. Does she have much use for Soul Charge? What's the deal with the sword twirling crap like 44B+K? Someone at the arcade told me it auto GIs but I've NEVER got it to work. I wish her 3rd costume in SC2 PS2 was in arcade. Heh, I care more about 2 on PS2 then 3. I don't want to practice something in 3, go to the arcade and find out it doesn't apply to 2. No arcade 3 is stupid. SC3 arcade in a T5 style cabinet with the PSX ports and card readers would be awesome. Our SC2 is in such a crappy old cabinet.

I've been reading about that. Didn't know they changed 22B on console. You could probably make that guy. Both hands would have to look the same though.

I forgot about 66A+B, that was one of the first moves I started using. I played some of the regulars at the arcade tonight and was really into Xianghua, I think she may end up being my main. I should have started playing this years ago. But what's up with the lack of command throws?

The old arcade has to be one of the most overrated beat em ups ever. That genre is so easy to get right anyone should be able to make a decent one. Simpsons just doesn't have enough moves or grapples. The team attacks were nice though. The 16 bit platformers were impossible. Whichever was the one where you got a report card at the end used to really get me frustrated.

Xbox Live turned out really well. Also Xbox in general should be considered a success. In one generation they managed to build a big name brand and did as well as Gamecube which was from the biggest name in gaming. Sony has had a lot of big plans that went no where too. PS2 was originally supposed to be a "set top box" that would be like the hub of your living room, you could download movies and games and all this other nonsense. It ended up being just a game console.

I know that they show Cosmic Carnage in the commercial which means it must be cool. I thought I was the only one who even knew of that game.

I just discovered that b+k move in training. ok so what about oki? I've got 2KB, 42K, 2A+B, 1A, A+B, and 8WR+B. Missing anything good? In 1 and 3 what's the difference with the GIs? Like why is there the parry and the regular?
-
What is the 11A move? I only know of that 1A sweep or the 1AB feint but that doesn't leave you in mist. Is A+B the only move that has the auto GI? And any good juggles? In II I would do 261,4KB but it doesn't work in III so now I'm just doing A+B.
-
yeah what are the uses for Mist and Relic?

Don't rent...buy. How can you call yourself a fan of fighters otherwise? Jer, could you point me to a site where I can learn the basics for my characters? I only know of the old guardimpact but it's been down forever and Gamefaqs is more interested in creating Sephiroth. I like Mits, Kilik, Yunsung and I was trying out Xianghua last night but I really have no idea what I'm doing. The new tutorial is pretty good at explaining the overall game system but isn't character specific.

Hey I have some experience with the genre. I even liked Banjo and DKC is one of my all time favorite games. But yeah, it was just my first impression. It looks like another Rare adventure game but like I said, it was just a demo. If it gets really good reviews I might check it out but me saying I have no interest in it has more to do with just being tired of those games then it's actual quality. The machine I played didn't even have vids of PDZ or DOA4. It was just Kameo, King Kong and a racing game then a bunch of vids of sports games, yet more racing games, Call of Duty 2 and some Tom Clancy game. Playing Doom 3 ROE on Xbox the past two nights has really made me feel like they're launching this way too early. I haven't seen anything from 360 that looks that much better. I am totally not ready for next gen. Really same goes for PS3 or anything else. I know it's first gen software and it'll eventually get better but even TTT on PS2 and SC on DC looked a generation ahead of Tekken 3 and Soul Blade.

It's pretty awesome. Well ok it is more of the same, but SC II is like 2 years old. You can create Yuna...and Yunsung looks like Tidus in his 1p outfit...isn't that reason enough to get it?

I've never understood why Megaman games have a reputation for being hard. Them being so easy is part of the reason I like them so much, especially back when I was a kid and thought other platformers were hard. You get infinite continues so you can just keep trying and in the X games there's so many heart tanks and powerups.

Yeah the first time I saw one I just briefly looked at the TV and saw VF2 for Genesis. I hope Quake 4 is just like Doom 3.

Yeah the one big button thing with the Xbox dpad does suck, but I don't think DC's is any better. It's like, popped out too far or something. But the triggers are the main problem. The WORST is Gamecube's dpad. Horrible! It is the same as GBA...
-
I'd rather play a fighter on the Xbox controller, especially if it's the old fat controller. The DC pad's Dpad kind of sucks and I hate the triggers. For a Capcom fighter you need 6 face buttons or good shoulder buttons like PSX. The triggers just don't work. With the old Xbox pad you basically had the 6 button layout because of the black and white buttons being right next to the 4 face buttons. A couple years ago I would have ranked the DC much higher. It's strongest point is the fighters and it's now almost obsolete since everything good is on Xbox or PS2 now.

Yeah, Mario 64 was good enough so it worked. I remember there was a big shortage and I couldn't find a system. Just by coincidence Toys R Us had one on my birthday. The problem was I couldn't afford Mario since it was like 80 dollars. For a couple days I had to just look at the system without anything to play on it. I finally sold a bunch of PSX games to get Mario. The N64 lineup was so bare I was really hyped when Cruis'n USA came out. Then there was MKT, which was better on PSX, and finally something good...KI Gold.

I got pretty far, maybe even beat, the original. Empire Strikes Back was too hard though. I don't think I ever got past the snow levels. I never did play Jedi. I've never understood why people say games like Devil May Cry 3 and Ninja Gaiden are too hard. Those games are nothing compared to old 8 and 16 bit games. If DMC3 was a SNES game it would be insane since there'd probably be no saving and you'd have a set number of lives.

So is no one playing this? Is this what happens when Link isn't in? The creation mode is cooler than I thought it would be. I just made Yuna and she looks pretty good. There's a skirt that looks just like the one she has as a songstress in X-2. The created characters movesets don't seem complete though. They have no sidethrows and none of them seem to have multiple stances. You can tell playing them that you're not really playing a real character.

I think mine quit selling games last year. Final Fight One for 5 dollars is nice though.
-
It's crazy that N64 launched with just that and Pilotwings and was actually successful. Imagine if Xbox 360 launched with two games, even if one was Halo 3.
-
I can't believe Battlefront is the best selling Star Wars game ever. I have nothing against it, I haven't even played it, but I would have guessed one of the old SNES games or KOTOR. Those SNES SW games were impossible...
-
I thought the level design was kind of weak in DD. Just didn't seem as interesting. The team thing was ok though. I always team Daisy and Peach.
-
It's convienent. I have so many systems hooked up now it's nice having the PSX in the closet somewhere. I don't want to have the huge Xbox sitting there when 360 comes out. I played 360 at Walmart tonight. VERY underwhelming. King Kong looked the best but even that didn't look much better then Doom 3. I played a bit of Kameo but it was hard to get into, not the kind of game I like playing a demo of. Seemed kind of lame though, I have no interest in another Rare kiddy collect-a-thon. But I did like the controller's feel. If it had 6 face buttons it'd be great. It'll be fine for most games, except Street Fighter style fighters that need a lot of buttons close together. I think the demo machine actually lowered anticipation instead of getting me hyped and that's pretty bad since I was already kind of apathetic. I think it'll be worth owning in the long run years from now but the launch looks weak. The choice of games to showcase was very poor too. No PDZ or DOA4.

Mario 64 is overrated. It was fun that first time but I never want to play it agian. Why double dash over 64 or original?
