Maybe. It depends on why you hate Buffy. If you hate the way the characters talk then you probably won't like any of his work but if it's just the mystical stuff like vampires and demons that don't interest you then you might like Serenity, especially if you're into sci-fi. But that doesn't mean you have to like sci-fi to enjoy Serenity. It's not really serious sci-fi, how everything works isn't really the point. It's more like Star Wars where the focus is on the characters and action and it just happens to take place in Space.

Joss Whedon is the creator of Buffy & Angel and wrote some of the best episodes. Serenity is based on his show Firefly which was cancled but built up a loyal following. He's special to fans because of his writing style, which has interesting characters, favors drama and emotion over action, his trademark sarcastic dialoge and a blend of genres.

He could have brought them back in Angel season 5 if he wanted. Well not Doyle, because Glen Quinn is dead. I forgot Jenny did come back via the The First in Amends. I mean Joss considers it important to the plot, with stuff like FE being dead people or Connor seeing that vision of Darla. I guess the big resurrections like Spike, Darla, Angel and Buffy could be kind of cheap. Most of those had big repercussions to pay for bringing someone back though. The worst is Spike and the amulet nonsense, but even Joss knows that was lame.

He only does it sometimes. Jenny, Anya & Doyle never came back. Usually when someone comes back it's for the greater good of the plot. In the visual companion he does say they'll never actually come back to life. He says "there are no amulets here". Dreams or flashbacks could be good, especially for

I don't see how the big deaths in Serenity could ruin the whole movie or make you want the franchise to die. No one here is more obsessed with the Buffyverse characters than me but I still want it to continue even after my favorite died. Besides, Joss has already said in the visual companion book that those two would be back. Now if Jayne died that'd be HORRIBLE.

They could do it in full 3D too. Metroid Prime worked. Not a CV fps, but with Prime like level design.

The Punisher for PS2 is pretty cool. Playing it again.

Bison's leisure suit version of his uniform should be an alternate costume in the next SF. I think Amy Acker from Angel is in the new TCM. Which means I must see it.

Rual julia was awesome as Bison. Best thing about that movie.

They could do it in 3D. More 2D games need CPS3 quality animation.

The damage settings and frequent dizzes are ridiculous in CE and the other cps1 SF games. 3rd Strike = best 2D fighter ever.

MKT has another million from the N64 version. MK4 did surprisingly well too.

Overall counting all games from this generation it's probably Tekken, with MK right behind. The single best selling title is probably MKDA. I can't give you exact numbers but MKD did not do nearly as well as MKDA, which sold over 2 million very quickly. TTT and T4 both sold over a million and T5 will surely do the same eventually. DOA3 is probably at a million by now but I'm not sure about DOAU. Not sure about SC II's long term sales. It did really well at first but quickly went to the bargain bin. Not sure if sales just died or if Namco shipped too many copies. VF, Capcom and SNK's games are not on that level. Tekken and VF have a strong arcade scene but it's difficult to say how much money that actually makes for Namco & Sega. But that's just the traditional fighters. SSB Melee did insanely well and probably tops MKDA if you count that as a fighter. Sadly the first DBZ Budoki game was a huge success too. Not sure about the sequels. Last generation Tekken 3 & MK Trilogy were the top selling fighters. I think MKT in the US and Tekken 3 worldwide.

I'll get SC III the day it comes out but I'm not that hyped for it right now. I'm sure I'll get into it when it's actually out.

Psycho Crusher might not even be the most unbalanced thing about CE Bison. His scissor kicks are strong. They don't knock down and be used for high damage, easy stun combos.

I like how they handled book. And yeah it would have been cool to see more of the crew together and happy. It was kind of lame how Mal and Simon were not getting along again. The Mr. Universe character was pointless.

I just got back. It was so great. Even better than the show.

I hope Jayne and wash get a lot of screen time.
