Yeah, I don't know. I've barely been following it's development. At first I was apathetic to it and now that I'm getting hyped it's so close to release I'm just going to wait and not get the demo. I'm pretty much going to go in blind. From what I've heard it's apparently good. I've even seen a lot of MK haters saying it's fun. I didn't have high expectations for it originally but it's not really fair to compare it to MKM and MKSF. SM was made by a totally different team that wasn't even part of Midway when the project first started. Boon is aware the other two side games sucked and is trying to make sure this one doesn't since he wants to do lots of side games now. He even brought up the idea of a MK rpg a couple days ago. I am hoping a game based on MK3 is next. The story is basically perfect for a RPG or adventure game.

Ganryu had retired. He's only back because he's in love with Julia. Baek was in a coma after Ogre kicked his ass, then started training soldiers in the Korean military. Bruce was working as a merc and survival instructor. I guess Lei was right to suspect he had faked his death. Roger Jr's dad was chilling out at Dr. B's lab. That's pretty much it. Most of those characters had just not been mentioned since Tekken 2. With the exception of Baek none of them had ever actually fought Ogre. The whole thing about him killing people to learn their moves was just fan speculation. Everyone just assumed that if they weren't in T3 they must be dead, which makes no sense since Ogre has a bunch of moves of people that are alive and well. Kazuya was alive during 3 and Ogre has the gut punch. Kuma(original) died of old age and he has the bear hug. Anna is IN Tekken 3 and he has her while rising punch moves. Ogre just had people's moves because.....Namco is lazy. People just vanish in Tekken and MK all the time. It's pretty dumb. Where is Michelle anyway? She hasn't been seen since Julia's T3 ending and we don't know if that actually happened or not. She'll probably just randomly show up someday as if she was never gone. Soul Edge has a great story, better written and presented than Tekken and MK by far. I just don't like it as much because NOTHING EVER HAPPENS. They've been stalling since SC1 ended. Move away from Seigfried having Soul Edge already!

Yeah, Reiko. Poor guy, he started out as Noob Saibot, got changed into Reiko at the last minute and now everyone thinks he's Kahn. He has no identity of his own. Havik also started out as Noob. That's two different characters that were originally Noob.

I don't have access to the Japanese books and all that, so I wouldn't be any good making a SF plot guide. My expertise is MK and Tekken. With MK there's not much of a need since Gavok's is so good and anything he didn't catch I just told him about anyway. I actually started doing a Tekken one but got bored quickly. It's too much work. Tekken needs one BADLY though, there's almost as much misinformation about that then there is about MK. I'm always amazed at how much BS is spread about the MK story. Actually just MK in general. Seems like the majority of fans still believe Ermac is in MK1 and just earlier today I saw some guy claim Raiden and Shao Kahn being brothers is true.

Yeah, he's Onaga's vessel in Deception. But in Sindel's ending he reverts back to his old human form, so he'll surely be back. Besides, even though he sat out(sort of) Deception he was in UMK3, 4 and DA. 3 games in a row. Reptile is high up on the list of characters with the most appearances. He's in Shaolin Monks. Look to be playable. Yeah it's great(Gavok's, not the other). Too bad he's been too busy to update it. Plus I'm a credited contributor for it, so it must be good.
-
Huh? Reptile is one of the most common characters, he's been in nearly all of the games. The only exceptions are regular MK3(and he's right back in UMK3) and Deception(and his body is in that, he's just posessed). He's in original, II, UMK3, 4 and DA.

That Dragonuv guy looks cool. When does SC III come out? It's looking pretty cool and I'm not even all that into SC. Awesome how like EVERYONE is back. Even Li Long.
-
It's a prediction based on their previous games. Regular T5 is already the best 3D fighter.
-
Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection will be better.
-
Maybe, but both Genesis and SNES SF II are now irrelevant since they've been surpassed by much better ports.
-
Why isn't that out yet? Seems like it was one of the first DS games revealed. Prime 2 was so weak.
-
I've seen many A3 players say that PSX is the most like the arcade. I guess Capcom toned down some Dhalsim and V ism stuff in Saturn and DC.
-
Yeah, but Donkey Kong and Star Fox haven't been relevant in years.

SF Anniversary Collection does not have all versions of SF II. Instead it's a brand new version, Hyper SF II, that allows you to pick which version of each character you want to play. So you can have Champion Edition Ryu vs. Turbo Guile. The actual presentation of the game is based on Super SF II Turbo. The AI in Hyper is based on Super SF II Turbo, which is much harder than the other versions. Hyper isn't even as hard as that, it was toned down. SSF2T arcade is much harder than Hyper.

Most are not bad, just stale and cheaply made. Most feel like they were developed in like 2 months. SF III was one of the last times they went all out and created something completely new and that's been almost 10 years.

Capcom Fighting Jam sucks though.
-
It's good. Not as good as SF III though.

I don't like all my characters being weaker or Kazuya's new ws+2 stun. Kuma is still bad, which is stupid. I hope Resurrection has all new characters instead of someone like Jun. I've been kind of down on T5 lately. Not that I don't still love it, but everyone I know isn't all that thrilled with 5.1 and the game is getting old since I've been playing it like nonstop for a year now. This new upgrade is coming at a good time. I've been more obsessed with 3rd Strike that T5 lately.

Zangief being gay is in some Japanese books.

I'm not sure I believe the stuff about Poison in that SF plot guide. I know for a fact the guy doesn't know very much about Final Fight. If he has basic info wrong(like Poison IS in FF1 arcade) then why should anyone trust what he says about stuff that's in another language and can't be verified?
-
I don't get what they're trying to say. If they're saying the US names are what they originally intended then they are clearly wrong. In Japan it has always been Vega = Dictator, Bison = Boxer and Balrog = Claw. It's still that way. The name "Vega" was meant to be for the dictator, it's just a coincidence that it happened to work for a spanish guy too. I don't think Capcom will ever say for sure if Mike Bison and Mike(SF1) are the same guy. They go back and forth depending on their current mood. It's the same thing with Hugo in SF III. Sometimes it seems like he's Andore, sometimes not.

You've never had stray clothes laying around? I hate Shermie's hair.

KI2 is a lot better than gold. It's like comparing KI1 arcade to SNES. I've played SF II pinball. It's ok. Chun Li's head looks so weird.
