Glory and Adam may not have cared about them in the lead up, but you can be sure they tried their best during the actual battle. If anyone loses points for being allowed to live it should be Angel. W&H spared him all the time.

Vail gave her the shot, but it still shows he can be beaten with phsyical strength. He is all frail and slow too. Even when he levitated Wes he still ended up getting knocked down. Lindsay beat a lair full of them. The only actual member of the Black Thorn is just the leader. If Lindsay can take out the entire clan surely the scoobies wouldn't have much trouble with one representative. Same with Ed, the leader of the Fell. Brucker is just a human. Sebassis' power comes from his legions of minions. There was no indication he was a strong fighter himself. Cyvus is the only one with any real credibility. Compared to some of the big bads Buffy and the other scoobies have fought the idea that they couldn't take on the Black Thorn is pretty weak. Glory by herself seems stronger than the entire group.

Black Thorn is overrated. Their power lies in influence, not necessarily at fighting. Cyvus Vail is strong but doesn't seem to be much of a match for Buffy. One super punch killed him and Buffy seems to be around the same strength level as Illyria. Helen Brucker is just a demon in a middle aged woman's body with vamp bodyguards. The Sahvrin clan and Fell Brethren are weak. We didn't even see Izzy or Sebassis fight. Who knows how strong they are in combat. The other 3 members appear to be human. I also think Willow is overrated. The only time she was really badass was as Dark Willow and that was under a special circumstance that's unlikely to ever happen again. Normal Willow's spells are not all that great. She can float and make knives fly at you. Wow big deal. She would be a useful member of the team in terms of support spells like shields and stuff, but it's not like she alone could take out Angel.

Too many of the fights are really short. They also use too much slow mo on Angel. That's what messes up Apocalypse Nowish to me. The slow mo is used when it isn't even a big moment. Do we need to see Wes fall back in slow mo? I really like the final battle with Glory. There's just so much going on. It has a wrecking ball! You can't beat that. Both Not Fade Away and Chosen suffer from not having enough time for the fights. What we see is cool, but it's not enough. Like in Chosen you see Xander for like 5 seconds. At first glance, the war with the ubies seems really epic. If you actually look closely you'll see it's like 6 minutes long and only about 10 ubies are killed. the guy that played Caine in the episode "Phases" of Buffy is the same actor that plays Sahjan on Angel. I never knew that.

You could maybe say that about Rinoa, but Yuna? Yuna is probably the most selfless and heroric of them all. She was willing to give up her life to save the world, even after meeting Tidus.

I don't see much difference between Yuna and myself. She just doesn't play as many different games.

I've said many times aesthetics are important to me in a game, especially RPGs, and it's never stopped you from getting on my case... and for the record I don't have pictures of Squall or Cloud on my wall. At least not anymore. Now I just have Angel and Buffy stuff. Oh, and a poster of Yuna & Tidus.

FFX-2 is pretty empowering. The girls are really awesome in that. I love Yuna and Paine. What's cool about it is that they're girly, but still strong. I hate how a lot of developers make these female characters who are supposed to be "badass femme fatales" who are no different than the guys except they have giant breasts. Some hardcore army chick with huge guns that blows stuff up doesn't do much for me. That's just lame. Square makes the best girls. Yuna & Rinoa are the best.

What??? Like what? What do you mean by "fangirl"? I am not biased..... It was my favorite game that year. Although looking back, I ended up liking KOTOR more. Yeah, like me.

well it sucks. I don't want the sims. Or a magazine subscription. Guys are always amazed(and often really angry) that I know what I'm doing at the arcade.

Yeah, II isn't nearly as good as the original, but it's still a really good game and I put it with 1 just because they're connected.

Every game is made to make money. That shouldn't be a bad thing either, why would anyone want to design a game that nobody wants to play? The problem is when developers make a game for money without intending for it to also be a quality title. That isn't the case with FF XI. They spent millions of dollars and several years to put it together. It wasn't a quick project just to cash in on Everquest. I don't see how anyone could play FF XI and come to that conclusion. I can understand not liking it, I know I don't like it nearly as much as the single player games, but it's obvious Square put a lot of effort into it.

Yeah, and another thing that's always heavily exagerated is the FMV in new FF games. You always hear "omg its nothing but fmv! the cutscenes are like a hour long!!". Not counting the ending there can't be more than 15 minutes of FMV in all of FF VII combined.
