I'm glad FF VII changed things. I think modern RPGs are better than the old school. FF VII-X are classic and KOTOR & KOTOR II are the next best thing. They're no less RPGs or quality games, you just don't like the style. I can understand why you'd be upset, but blaming it on suits or a desire only for money isn't fair. I don't know how you can claim to know why developers do certain things. How do you know the inspiration for FFX-2? Can you provide any source for this? How do you know "suits" made them use that style? From all the interviews I've read from the producer it was a choice he made to make X-2 different than X and to show the carefree life of post-Sin Spira. I've heard nothing about it being something that was forced upon the development team. He could be lying, but there's no way to know. The criticism of FF XI doesn't really make any sense. How is it made by "suits" or for the "mainstream"? It is a traditional MMORPG and nothing like most modern FF games. I would think FF XI would be the kind of game old school players would embrace. And when it comes to Square, I don't think FF VII really changed their way of making games as much as people think. They just finally had the technology to do what they had always wanted to do in the first place. The series was getting more and more cinematic as it progressed.

Oh god, I just read a major spoiler... Wash and Book die. From the sound of it Wash dies just like Anya, in the final battle completely out of no where without any warning. He is trying to crash land the ship while joking around and a piece of a Reaver ship impales him in the chest. Brutal. This really sucks....

Last time I was at Gamestop this guy was trying to sell me on buying some Sims game.

He didn't know Cyvus would be so powerful, and even if he did he would have fought him anyway because he's a hero. Illyria wasn't supposed to come. She only came because she killed Izzy and the other 3 so easily. As far as Wes knew there was no backup.

Both of them are obnoxious. They treat me like a little kid or something, like I know nothing about games and need to be hassled.

The 3rd doesn't look any different than the other 2 to me.

He looks like a clown when you fight him the first time and in the art, but in the actual game his sprite looks nothing like he's supposed to. It's just this guy in like a green dress. A lot of the sprites look weird. It's hard to tell what they're supposed to be wearing.

What is Cid supposed to be wearing anyway? It's like a bulky yellow raincoat. What a stupid looking sprite. Kefka also looks really dumb in game. I always use Setzer, Edgar, Sabin and then either Shadow, Locke, Celes or Terra. Setzer looks so messed up in his little portriat. He is pale and has some disease or something.

I know you can destroy mouments in the Paris level in Head On.

It did get cut due to 9/11. Not sure if it came out in any other country. Eternal Champions: The Final Chapter and Primal Rage II would have been...ok.

Wes still works the best mojo in town! Also, as far as firearms go, I would assume Vail had him checked for weapons before entering his home. Wes didn't just break in, he came to Vail as a guest.

It has nothing to do with him dying. He does the same fireball 3 times, 2 of which are before he is stabbed. Cyvus just didn't see it coming and it was close range. Wes was always good with magic. We just never really saw him use any offense spells before. Him being good with magic is why he was assigned to fight Vail in the first place. I want to know who the 3 other members of the Circle are.

Yeah, it's not as bad as some other stuff like the scythe but it is obvious the writers often use it as a tool and shape it as they see fit. I like how Joss doesn't try to come up with some BS answer, he just admits it. Like with the scythe example, on the S7 dvd commentary he just flat out says yeah it's a deus ex machina ending. A lot of the mystical stuff is like that. The writers seem to care about the message and emotion more than detailing how everything works, which is a reason Buffy/Angel is so good.

In other words, like most of the mystical stuff in the Buffyverse, the soul is a mcguffin.

Xander was going to talk to Jesse(as FE) in CWDP, but the actor couldn't do it. Same with the planned Anya/Halfrek(FE) scene.

Jealousy had a lot to do with hating Angel, but by the time spike and Buffy were together he was long past Buffy.

Well, Anya asked to be human again which is pretty much the same thing. But yeah, Xander is so hyprocritical in his Spike hate. It's ridiculous. He never got off Spike's case about anything. Angel too. Although in Anya's defense, I think most of her talk about the good old days is just Illyria-esque bluster to cope with being a mortal.

Buffy wanting to kill Anya in Selfless was an exception. Even then it was just Buffy, Willow and Xander wanted to spare her. When she became human again, it was forgotten. Even later on in Get It Done when she's whining about being a human again and joking around about killing people it's fine with the scoobies. Most of the time it was a joke. She'd freely talk about slaughtering men and everyone would just laugh it off like "oh that wacky Anya!!!!". Meanwhile Xander never shuts up about how you can't trust Spike...

It's not just Connor. Nobody ever really seemed to care that Anya is a mass murderer worse than Spike & Angelus combined. In fact she doesn't even show any remorse. It's just like a joke to her. Buffy would forgive Spike for anything in season 6 & 7. Harmony is a murderer and like Anya, it's a joke. Illyria killed Fred and it was basically dropped. I don't care if she intended no malice, if she took over someone I cared for i'd never be able to look at her or forgive her. Xander being responsible for OMWF is really messed up. Some poor guy died because of him, and nobody seems to care.

Buffy: The Search for Anya would be the greatest movie of all time and smash box office records. I don't think there will ever be any more Buffyverse on TV. All the rumor and talk of a Spike tv/movie seems to be wishful thinking and just for the sake of making the fans happy. It's like, a year has passed and they've done nothing but talk about how they want to do it. Do it already! I am watching both series again in order now and it's while it's fun(except the beginning), I wonder how many more times I can do it before it gets old forever. Watching season 1 of Buffy is just brutal now. I never want to see The Pack again. I hope Hells Bells is never like that. That's why we need new material! Even if it's Kennedy The Vampire Slayer.

I know, I know. I try to think of that like every day. How great it'd be if they were together again, with like kids or something. But no matter what that will always just be fanfic. I can't just ignore the real story no matter how hard I try. I'd take anything official, even if it was just a book or something. Even Joss just saying something about it would be great. I want to see what happened right after Chosen ends. Where do they go at first? How does everyone deal with what happened? There's so much drama there.
