Co-op is really fun. It's quite a bit different than the regular one player game. They cut out all the cinematics and PDA junk to make it more of an old school action FPS. The darkness works really well with two people, since one can shoot while the other uses the flashlight.

I don't mean worst character, that title goes to Kendra or Parker. I mean least worthy of being a regular cast member(being in the opening credits). Groo was never in and Riley was a main character.

I hope there's some surprises in terms of launch titles shown, because so far I'm not all that impressed with what we know is coming for Xbox 360. Perfect Dark? Godfather? No thanks. I would like to see DOA 4. It's a B list fighter, but at least it's something.

Mercades McNabb was added to the opening in Underground. Easily the worst addition to the Buffy/Angel group of regulars ever.

I wish I looked like Emma. That would be great. However I have been told I resemble Buffy writer Jane Espenson. The best thing about Kingdom Hearts is David Boreanaz doing the voice of Squall. What perfect casting.... Since 1997 I've REALLY liked Square's FF games and just kinda thought their other stuff was ok, but lately everything they've done is lame. FF CC was ok but I could never get anyone to play multiplayer with me and the whole connectivity thing is lame. FFTA is horrible. It's the only FF game I ever quit playing. Dawn of Souls is ok, but I have no interest in it since I have FF Origins. FF X-2 was really funny and probably my favorite game of that year, but it didn't really match the quality of the other main FF games. XI was...not FF. It wasn't even a "FF MMORPG". It's just a regular MMORPG with the FF name. The game seemed really good, but I just don't have the time to play a MMORPG, especially one that requires so much grouping. My boyfriend is really into WOW though, so I might upgrade my PC and get into that. This is really the first time I've ever thought about how weak Square has been. Never really given it any thought. They just slowly fell off the radar to me. I have like no hype for XII. I hope it's really good. I've barely even got hyped over the new FF VII products.

Brute Force is really fun in co-op.

I beat it last night. Very good. I was especially impressed with the story. It felt kind of small though. The length was decent but in terms of actual progression you didn't really do that much. Like the search for Pandora's Box was basically 50% of the game. I could have lived without the nudity.

Why is Peach like the only girl in the entire Kingdom? Both Mario and Sonic are lame. Mario's games are better but that's not saying much since the last decade of Sonic games have been garbage. Modern game characters are so much better than the old mascot style.

Those numbers for Tekken 5 are not really for the first week. It was only on sale for 3 days for that list. 174,000 is not bad for a fighting game in Japan. Namco expecting 500,000 is insane.

I haven't played the PC version. Well I've only played single player, but so far it's great. I love cinematic games and this is done so well. Ultimate Doom and Doom II are sort of messed up on the LE though. The screens for split screen are tiny even when it's just two players, it's way too fast and sensetive(feels like you're sliding around) and the only sky background is the green mountains from the first episode. Even in hell there's just green mountains. Very strange oversight. It's stil really cool to have them on the disc.

I know. But Tobias' games have had neither critical OR commercial success and he's still around.

Yeah, and that's why they and Ed can continue to make products. Meanwhile everything Tobias has done since 1995 has bombed so I'm left wondering why he's still in the business.

The May Gamepro has the first pics and info for SC III. Looks like more of the same. The big new feature sounds like some kind of create-a-character mode but it's not really specific about the details. And it's exclusive to PS2....

College Slam was made entirely by Acclaim. It shouldn't be part of the Midway lineage. Showtime Gold was mostly just a roster update for arcade. Same with Maximum Hangtime. I haven't played Hoopz. Does it even play like JAM? I thought it was an entirely new series.

Ed's games make money.

In the commentary they talk about Drogyn. The reason they made such a big deal about him being noble, unable to lie and that he had known Angel in the past was they wanted it to be credible when he said they absolutely could not save Fred without killing others. If just some random flunky had said that you'd wonder why Angel would so easily believe it and give up. The original plan was actually to have Giles appear and play Drogyn's role as the one to tell Spike and Angel there was no other way.

John Tobias hasn't made a good game in about a decade. I can't believe he still has a job.
