See anything with Bruce? I heard the knees do disappointing damage, which makes no sense with T5's damage settings. Does Kuma still have the properties of a fat character? Like does he not launch up as high?
-
We still haven't got the second TRCs either. I'm very hyped for Bruce. I can't wait to check out his cheese......uh...new tactics and strategies. I've played as Roger a ton since we got him. His uf+3+4 new stomp is actually useful and his new string is pretty good for juggles or after ss+4 and db+3. It seems a lot harder to do the animal godfist in juggles though. He's fun to play, but I really doubt anyone is going to be able to get very far with him. The wall damage and damage in general is just crazy. EVERYONE is doing 50%+ juggles. Most of the time it's fine, and I do like how throws do a lot more now, but sometimes rounds will be over before you know it. What sucks is when faced with new stuff. Especially long stringy type moves from someone like Asuka or Feng. I don't know the moves very well so it's hard to defend and it can cost you like half your life. It reminds me of when Eddy was new in 97. I've played as Raven a few times lately. Without any practice, FAQ reading or strat threads. I probably have the worst Raven of all time. d/f+2, BK 1+2 and d/f+4, ff2 are my elite top tier juggles.

I got a bunch of Buffy stuff for Christmas. Angel poster, shirt and calander and all 3 volumes of the Buffy Watcher's Guide. Yay this is cool.
-
The latest issue of Arcadia says Ganryu, Mokujin and Devil Jin are the next TRCs after Kuma, Wang & Bruce. So again Duk's list has been 100% right. Basically means it's almost guarunteed Heihachi is the next and last.
-
That's just sad. Roger is really cool. I like how Namco has reanimated a ton of his moves and given him a bunch of animal like new moves. He actually feels like a real character now instead of a novelty old school King clone.
-
Roger Burkle is great. I haven't watched buffy in like weeks.
-
Buffy knew they'd be fine without her and they were. Spike, Willow and Giles could get by and even Anya and Dawn can kill vamps. For the big bads they'd just have to get help from people like Angel.

Tekken needs more suit outfits. I love them. Baek's is cool, with the hat. Pics.... Bruce looks a lot better than he used to, but what's with the massive shoulders? Kuma actually looks like a bear now. Supposedly f+1's range is bad and JF Salmon Hunter is gone......why does Namco always screw Kuma?

Tekken and T2 ran on system 11, which was basically PSX. Tekken 3 ran on System 12 which was an enhanced PSX, which is why the T3 PSX port wasn't arcade perfect. TTT ran on System 12 too. The arcade version looks NOTHING like the PS2 one. The arcade TTT looks like a PSX game. It has the same graphics as Tekken 3. Tekken 4 ran on System 246, which was basically a PS2. T5 is on a modified 246, 258. So basically we can expect a Tekken 3 style port. Not PERFECT, but very close. In a recent interview they said it'd be as close as possible. I don't really have any doubts about that. All the Tekken ports have been great.

Jer, have you played as Roger, Anna or Baek yet? We should get them Thursday or Friday. The next set of characters is Wang, Bruce and Kuma. Yay for the return of Bruce. Though apparently the knees don't do as much damage and 3,2,1 doesn't launch anymore. So, uh, what's the point of a Bruce return now?

POP: WW isn't bad. It's hate is really unwarrented.

I didn't even know you started. Should have done another thread.

That is top 25 MOMENTS. Buffy vs. Dracula is there, rightfully so, for the very end when Dawn is shockingly introduced. Selfless is there for the best jump cut in the history of the series. Besides, that ep is great. Easily top 10 best ever. Better than ANY Angel ep.

The first like hour of 3 is full of cutscenes and obnoxious tutorials. When you start the second mission, it really cuts back. There's still some long cutscenes with like action or exposition, but it's not like in 2 where it's all in the codec so you're just sitting there watching two talking heads. 3's story is also less convoluted than 2's.
-
2 has long cutscenes about everything. 3 doesn't.

A remake of MG and MG2 would be nice, but MGS3 is awesome. I wasn't too thrilled about a prequel before I played it, but now that I've beaten it and seen the story I think it was great. The details of the Patriots and why Big Boss turned evil are really fascinating. The ending REALLY puts a new perspective on him. And it's not like it doesn't follow up MGS and MGS 2. It doesn't continue the literal story, but it does follow up and conclude the themes of those games. The main themes of MGS(what makes a person, freewill, ect) are all tied up really well. MGS2 haters should like it. Once you get past the prolouge mission there is hardly any overly long codec cutscenes. This one has the most gameplay in the series by far. There's also some very well designed boss fights and new stealth mechanics. It takes a while to get used to no radar and using the new stuff, it works out fine. I liked sonor the most, but everyone seems to have their own style. There's lots of different ways to do everything.

In "Touched" when Xander and Anya are having sex on the kitchen floor the FE and Caleb seem to somehow be watching this from their evil underground lair. HOW!? Did the Bringers install a hidden camera during one of the many, many times they attacked Buffy's house? Doesn't FE have anything better to do than watch that anyway?
-
At least she didn't steal a good system's collection.

I think it's the same as the others, but it just takes longer. There's like 6 of us that play T5 and only 2 of us are at Dan and we've both been past 1st Dan without playing anyone else. It just took forever to go up. But I read at TZ that for the ranks after Dan you might have to play people with a higher rank.
-
Yes, it's ingenius. I bring mine every time. In fact I just got home from a session. God the game is so good. I think I've already spent like 50 dollars on it. As for the card system, you buy a card then pick a character and you're locked as that character. You can name them whatever you want(and change it any time) and then you get to fighting. The main goal is to win money. One player wins give very little. In two player you get at least 1,000(more if they have a high rank) for a win and 250 for a lose. You can use the money to buy items from the shop. Everytime you put the card in a little menu pops up with the shop and the name change option. The stuff in the shop are colors and extra items of clothing like sunglasses, hats, and shinguards. All this stuff is REALLY expensive. Like just a pair of sunglasses will cost 50,000 gold. The other big thing about the card is your rank. Just like VF4 it keeps track of your wins/loses and gives you a rank based on how you do. Right now my Kazuya is at something like 55 wins and 30 loses and he has a Reaper's Scythe on his back. My rank is 1st Dan. I was at 3rd Dan but was doing awful the other day and lost some demotion matches. There is also ghosts for one player. The card keeps track of how you play and what combos you use and then when someone is playing one player sometimes they'll fight the "ghost" of your custom character. It doesn't work as well as it sounds(since no AI can really mimic a human) but it's sort of interesting. If your ghost wins, you get gold. The whole card thing is pretty cool, especially if you have a group of regulars you play with. It's neat to see everyone get new items, fight over ranks and see what everyone's win/lose record is like.

Nightmares is the worst Joss episode. It's Amy Acker's birthday! YAY!
-
Fred might have just meant herself and Cordy. Besides, she is used to being poor and probably felt it wouldn't be a good idea to buy really expensive clothing after already spending money for the show itself. Or maybe they didn't want to have Angel pay and were just shopping on their own.

So I picked this up yesterday. I figured it would be lame, but it's even worse than you'd think. It doesn't even feel finished. Feels like I'm playing a 60% done demo. EXTREMELY slow gameplay, boring weapons, boring enemies(plus I'm halfway through and have encountered like two different types of enemies), bare level design and a story that makes very little sense. EA sucks.
