Well he looked pretty intense standing next to Angel and all the kids, leading the charge against the army of vamps.
-
He is pretty intense in Graduation Part 2. At least until he falls in battle.

There's a lot of challenging and morally ambiguous arcs on Buffy. What about Buffy having to sacrifice Dawn in S5? Buffy and Xander arguing over what to do about Anyanka in S7? Willow wanting revenge in S6? The entire Spike and Buffy ship? I really like the intense moments involving Wes in S3 too. I don't think they compare to some of Buffy's though, like that scene in Selfless and Giles yelling at Buffy in The Gift. Also Tara's death is up there. Angel has like no happy ships. So much Angel brooding and failed ships. On Buffy there is Willow/Oz, Buffy/Riley, Willow/Tara and the best ship ever, Xanya. I can't help but be biased. I have so much more emotion invested in Buffy than Angel.

Caleb would be a lot cooler if he didn't injure Xander. Hamilton does like nothing. He has the worst big bad death ever, well besides FE running away at Buffy's Resolve Face of Doom.

Sidestep is weak thanks to how well moves track. No okizeme or ground game at all. Throws are blockable, defeating the whole purpose of them. No real advanced throw game. No countering, no escaping, no real options after throws. Very little in the way of special properties for moves. Nothing like counter hits or guard breaks. Walls just add double damage, no special properties. Infinites. The stances are irrelevant. Since none of them have any special properties it's just splitting up a moveset into 3 sections. Chain combos are all guarunteed after the first hit. Not enough low moves.

Wes/Lilah is pretty depressing and is not even much of a ship. There is no real love and happiness! Gunn/Fred is like the only ship that compares to a Buffy ship, and it's just boring.

I'm playing it. On my second trip to the prison. I like it, but not as much as the previous games. I haven't found it to be nearly as creepy and the level and monster design doesn't really do much for me. It seems kind of bare and soulless.

I know I want it. It's pretty cool. I used to have the PSX port, but got rid of it. I like how this is games from the 90's. I'm sick of all the retro collections. A lot of the vids for this show MKT footage when hyping MK3. Very dumb. Primal Rage 2 needs to be hidden or in MAT3.

I haven't heard anything, but I'd imagine it's going to be just like MKDA's. That game's AI was pretty good. Easily the best in the series. Not anything special, pretty much just generic fighting game AI like you'd see in Tekken, but it wasn't all cheap and artificial like the 2D MKs. The bosses are unlike other characters though. The subboss is a quasi-tag team fight and the final boss is a big huge monster like Goro, Kintaro, Motaro, and all that... I have no problem with bringing up MK's flaws. MKD will have quite a few. The new combo breaking looks terrible, the lights that tell you when to block are pointless, and they still haven't fixed major problems from MKDA.

It IS World Tour.

Just MK, not all 3d fighters. Midway's never released a game that wasn't buggy. I can't imagine them getting online play up and running perfectly on their first try. Also, MK's fanbase tends to be filled with very immature players. I can see having to wade through a sea of players who quit in the middle of the match when they're losing and other obnoxious tactics. Even if you do find someone good MKD's gameplay is quite broken and simplistic. There's going to be a lot of people abusing infinites and other overpowered starts.

Deeper? Maybe more adult, but that's not necessarily better. More intense? There's plenty of intense moments on Buffy. I was just watching Entropy tonight. The end scene with Xander is intense. Told better? No way. Nothing beats the way Buffy can do a season long arc but with wacky gimmick episodes. Another thing is that Buffy has MUCH better relationships than Angel. So much better.

Riley fights demons near campus, Buffy was always other places near her home. Plus I doubt Riley's clocked a lot of field time. He's only caught like 17 or something. He was probably training for most of that time. Gimmick eps are more watchable than middle of arc eps. Like I can't watch Calvary over and over, but I can with A New Man. Too many Angel eps are just straight a continuation of the story and then a to be continued ending. I like how on Buffy they can tell a long story, but the individual eps all have some wacky subplot. Makes for great repeat viewing. Buffy has better arcs than Angel. Better cast too. Better villains. Only thing Angel tops Buffy on is opening theme.
-
Yeah, that is pretty dumb. There's also the ocean disapearing in Chosen. And nobody noticed the town's had the same mayor for like ever.
-
Gimmick eps are awesome. They're what makes Buffy so much better than Angel. Why would she have run into Riley? It's a big town and he lives in the college part.
-
They can't. Online play will probably be awful though.
-
Think of why Anya decided to hang out in Sunnydale and would listen to Xander boss her around. The sex. Probably the same thing for Illyria and Wes.
-
OMG! I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING! Sub-Zero looks like shredder!

Season 4 rules. Best stand alone eps. the Initiative was an interesting story that's only in S4. Adam is a good villain. EC becoming a regular is the best thing to happen to the cast since the original casting.

Anyone pick it up today? Even though I already have Hyper SF II and the DC version of 3S I got it. Got the guide too. I've only played Hyper. Seems identical to the JPN version, but with a save feature.

The W&H set in S5 is really cool. I like it more than the one in Home. I don't understand why the W&H building just magically started to fall down in Not Fade Away. It must be because Hamilton died. Like in videogames, whenever the final boss dies his lair starts to self destruct along with him.

Sounds cool. I want a Cait Sith game.

I want to read the book on Chosen. See what it says about Xanya. It's kind of unclear at the end. I think they are back together, but everyone else seems to think they moved on.

I don't know about the afternoon, but it's S7 in the morning. They show two eps. This morning will be End of Days and Chosen. Yaaay I get to see Chosen again. I have it like memorised.
