Why don't you like season 6?
-
I hate Illyria. Her shtick is old and boring and not at all funny. I am pissed they killed off Fred for this story, especially since it's not going to have proper resolution. It's such a waste of Wes too. Only a week till season 6 comes out. I'm REALLY hyped.
-
Buffy and Angel introduced the characters without being really slow. I guess in the long run it was worth it though. In the middle when I really got into it I felt like I really knew the cast. I can see where Fox was coming from about changing the pilot.
-
I'm not watching it JUST to complain. I am obsessed. I have to see it. It's not just a TV show, I can't just stop watching it. The Buffyverse is a huge part of my life, and even though it pisses me of lately I still like to watch it. Complaining about it is fun too. It's hard to explain, but I guess venting on things I don't like makes me feel better. I'm emotionally invested in the characters so much I have to rant to someone when something happens I don't like. Also, the show is still good overall. I just get caught up in the negative a lot. Like even though I want to strangle Joss over season 7 I still liked some of it. Andrew is awesome!

I'm both excited and dreading it. Complaining about it will be fun too. Since I am done with complaining about WWE I now just have new Buffy/Angel to hate on. I won't consider it all over for good until all the DVDs come out though. I also have Angel sesaon 4 to watch.

Starting out slow and building slow is fine and well, but Serenity is just TOO slow. If it wasn't a Joss show I doubt I would have kept watching. It wouldn't be so bad if the trainjob wasn't weak. I got really into it halfway through when they start getting into the wilder monster of the week misadventures.
-
I thought Serenity was too slow. The first few eps of Firefly are way too slow paced. I really got into the show like halfway through.

ANYA: Yes. I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope People criticize sesaon 6 for not having a central storyarc? That makes no sense... Here is a mystery: Where did Anya live before moving into Xander's apartment? And did she graduate high school? A case could be made that all of them are champions. Even non-badass warriors like Xander, Lorne, Fred or Tara frequently put their lives on the line to help others in need.
-
They don't all have to be weeping, but they could show some reaction. It's almost like they didn't even notice she missed the bus! You can have a happy ending and acknowledge some of their friends didn't make it out. The scene with Andrew is decent, but as soon as it's over he walks over to the others and just suddenly stops caring and starts talking about the mall. WTF? That stuff wasn't even funny. And yeah, Xander falling and crying would be good. Spike did that in The Gift and it was awesome.
-
Anya's death wouldn't bother me as much if the scoobies didn't no sell it. I hate how Joss felt he HAD to go for a goofy pop culture reference scene as the end, with them talking about the mall. That may have been a big part of the show but it shouldn't have come before a proper send off. Plus the actual joke was unfunny. The same thing applies to Spike's death, but I don't care about him as much.

An is first place: In my heart. She is an ardent supporter of capitalism. She's obviously superier to all others. Just ask her! She fights....with Xander. Face it, she's a champ.
-
"really ambitious MUGEN project" can be applied to a bunch of Capcom projects. In Capcom's defense the main villain King was new. Of course you do end up fighting Wily...in nearly the exact same final forms he had in MM7 and 8....but still. At least the fake final boss was something original.

Reminds me of the old MKDA selection screen from E3 2001 before they changed it.

I want the bunny Anya action figure. Andrew is also a champion. His is yet another epic tale of redemption. And yes, we ARE really sure she is in heaven. I just know. Screw Spike. She is there, with lots of money, an alternate heaven dimension Xander who isn't a fat one eyed construction worker, and NO bunnies.

Whatever the case they need to SAY IT. It's ridiculous that such an important thing is so confusing everyone has their own take on it. It bugs me that Buffy's role in beating the FE was like irrelevant. Spike did all the work, or more accurately the amulet did. The sythe, the SITs, Buffy and Faith ended up amounting to nothing at all. They could have just as easily sent Spike down alone. Obviously Anya is in heaven, but I wonder what it's like for her. Buffy's descripion, where she had this feeling everyone she cared about was ok, sounds pretty lame for An. I bet whatever it's like she has lots of money. My new avatar is the best ever.

1. She died fighting to save the world. That gets you major points. 2. Just like Angel and Spike her story is one of redemption. She used to be really evil, but eventually became only really obnoxious and greedy. 3. Her role as a small business owner/entrepreneur is an inspiration for all demonkind. She shows that demons and humans can coexist thanks to the wonders of capitalism. 4. Her wit, sarcasm and inappropriate enthusiasm boosted morale for the scoobies whenever they were in dire trouble. 5. There are tons of instances of her helping to save the world. Like she came up with the ideas of how to beat Glory by getting them to think outside the box. They were thinking inside the damn box until she spoke up!

The fact that you and Brian contradict each other on this shows how poorly written this was. Angel clearly thought it was for him and at the very least was considering using it. So W&H had to have known he might possibly die to stop FE. Why would they have done that if him running W&H and turning evil was their evil scheme? Why give it to Angel and take that risk? What a stupid move by the Partners. They just got lucky it turned out ok. Lindsey went through a lot of trouble and risk just to distract Angel. It's also quite a coincidence everything fell in place so that he could do it. So who is right? Did W&H just know Spike would use it? Did they just not care if Angel died? Did lindsey just happen to come across it and use it? You're both saying different things. What does that say about the story? There's no explinations, you just have to speculate. And that sucks. I've seen Joss explain why he killed her many times. It sucks and I am mad at him for it. His explination is bogus. I dedicate this post to the memory of Anya Christina Emmanuella Jenkins, a true champion. The scoobies may not have cared that she died, but I will contiue to mourn. We're taking a moment...... .................. And we're done.

That whole thing about a second front in LA was such crap. If FE had won an army of ubies would be overrunning the earth! Even Angel saw through it and called her out on it.
-
Yeah. I understand. I can tolerate a LOT of mistakes. Like with the Black Thorn. I understand they needed a big bad for the final battle. Using the past villains from this season like that and Angel's promo did about as good of job as they could have done given the time and circumstances. It's lame, but I'm not THAT upset. But some of this isn't minor. This amulet thing ties not only into this season, but Buffy's end as well. You can't just blow it off. Joss used to be the god of writing! I don't know what his problem is though. The god of writing would not kill someone off just for shock value.
-
Yeah, which is something they should have played up more. They never went over exactly when FE's window to attack was over, what it got to do, ect. They should have explained that if it's ubie plan failed that it would be forced back into the dark for many more years or whatever. Instead Buffy told it off and it just bailed. lame. Just thinking about W&H's amulet plan is so silly. Whichever senior partner brought up the idea should be demoted to evil janitor.
-
Yeah, but why did it go back to being passive? What's stopping it from just getting more ubies? Shouldn't it be pissed the partners ruined it's scheme? It just went away. That's sooo lame. They just "knew" Spike would get it? Why not have someone else just give it directly to Spike then? Even if they did that it doesn't explain what Lindsey's deal was. The whole thing is such a bizarre, convoluted plan when the goal was just to screw with Angel for a couple months.
-
I can accept that the amulet is there "just because". It is a fantasy show after all. But the idea that Spike coming to LA was their evil scheme is such a stretch. How could they have possibly known he would end up using it? How could they know once he got his body back that he'd stay in LA instead of going straight to Buffy(which was also just total crap). What would have happened had Andrew worn it? Or Willow? How does Lindsey tie in? Was he part of the plan or working alone? So...the idea is....W&H wanted FE to lose and for Spike to mess with Angel. So they gave Angel the amulet and assumed he'd give it to Spike who they assumed would just stay in LA. Then Lindsey found the amulet and brought back Spike and played him against Angel. So Lindsey was working with the partners then? Where does the amulet stuff play into Lindsey joining the cult too? And where is FE in all this? It should be furious. You'd think FE and the partners would be linked, or even the same thing, and wouldn't want to get in each other's way like that.
-
So then what was lindsey's connection to it? Why would W&H want Angel dead or Spike in LA? If the partners are eternal evil then what is their deal with FE? How did they even get an ubie crushing magic amulet anyway? It's not like the amulet just closed the hellmouth and ended that. It lead to the death-rebirth thing too. You can't just blow that off. They need to explain it! It infuriates me to think that all that happened on Buffy, like Anya dying, was for NOTHING. A dropped story! I'm never going to get over it. It's been a year and I'm still mad. Why Joss? Why!? What did Anya do to deserve that? Besides that little minor detail of killing countless men over the course of thousands of years. Other than that she was a good person. Kinda rude. But still good. A champion even. God, I'm so mad. The amulet thing isn't even the worst part of it. Don't even get me started on how LAME the post-battle scene was in chosen. If Wes suffers a fate like her I'm going to cry! and then complain forever. What is FE up to now anyway? Just chilling out with the Bringers?

Megaman & Bass isn't MM9...it's a side game. It doesn't even have completely original bosses.
