How does WWE choose what type of number to use..

If I remember correctly, they've done this since WM X-7 after every Mania. I mean, they always advertise the next Wrestlemania using the same logo as that year's Wrestlemania using a different number. Then they later create a new logo...

    WrestleMania 22

And if HBK/Benoit isn't something everyone wants to see then I think if the Rockers take off they should defend the tag titles at Mania while Benoit gets his own high profile match, not sure against who though.

    WrestleMania 22

Hmm, just a question, why would it be better for Summerslam as opposed to a Mania. Granted Mania is the bigger show but I'm too sure about your rationale here. If they aren't good at either role than I think it wouldn't matter. However, I do think that this could be the few times a heel vs. heel feud would work. And I think the fans would be into it. Orton/Taker II I think that would work depending on how this coming year works. I'm thinking the WWE still want Orton to be the one so I'm trying to think of what they can do. I think they can play it off as Taker is the legend that got away from him and he'll continue to pursue the Legend killer shtick. As I said, Orton wasn't ready this time around but I think and hope that after another year he would be where he should be with decent booking. I wouldn't have Mysterio win the match but I think he would be a good addition. What do you think would be a better alternative for Mysterio? And I'm just predicting Psicosis would stick around but if he doesn't you can replace the guy with Super Crazy or Akio. And I don't know what Angle is doing but if he does, then I think the scenario of him vs. Benjamin would be good.

    WrestleMania 22

I'd like to see... HHH (Champ) vs. JBL for the World title...the match won't be great but I think the feud would be good. John Cena (Heel WWE Champ) vs. Eddie Guerrero...I'd like to see Eddie in the main event against a heel John Cena. Randy Orton(Heel) vs. Undertaker II...I think that this is where Taker should lose his streak. Orton can build his credibility as a heel over the year properly and then I think most people will consider him a real threat and worthy. I wasn't rooting for Orton this year at all, I like the guy but he just wasn't ready this year. Everything felt rushed. Kurt Angle (Heel) vs. Shelton Benjamin...I want to see Angle on Raw and I think a match against Benjamin would be badass next Wrestlemania. I also think if they bring Benjamin to the next level during this coming year, this could be his breakout singles match. Paul London vs. Psicosis (Champ) vs. Rey Mysterio...for the Cruiseweight title would be badass and add your choice of gimmick (ladder) and this will be a show stealer. Charlie Haas (Heel) (US Champ) vs. Carlito Carribean Cool for the US title would be a solid match but the feud might be iffy depending on how they build Haas from now til then. HBK vs. Chris Benoit (Heel)... they've gone at it before but they haven't had their own feud...I just want to see Benoit beat this shit out of HBK cause that's the Benoit I like. Blood feud like HBK/Angle this year...but you know, without Benoit acting like HBK. i think thoses matches would be great for a Wrestlemania but it leaves out Show, Batista and other plus the tag titles and the IC title.
  5. I'm just curious as to how you guys think the WWE would react if something major happened to one or a few of their superstars? Not that I wish harm on anyone but things happen. I mean with all the traveling they do, what would happen if a plane with half the superstars went down? Or what if either/or both of McMahon had an accident and couldn't run the business after Vince retires? Heck, what if Vince died tomorrow? Was thinking about that earlier. What do you all think?

    The Pope

St. Malachy Perhaps the most famous prophecies about Popes allegedly come from St. Malachy O’Morgair, Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland. While in Rome to visit Pope Innocent II in 1139, Malachy had a vision in which he gave specific clues about the identities of every Pope to follow Innocent II to the end of time! These prophecies were hidden away until they were finally published in 1590. There is still an ongoing debate as to whether they are genuine prophecies from St. Malachy or are forgeries. Either way, they seem to have an eerie accuracy. For example, these were his names for the three most recent Popes we’ve had: * Paul VI (1963-1978) he called Flos florum, which means “flower of flowers.” Paul VI’s coat of arms bore the image of three lilies. * John Paul I (1978) was called De medietate Lunae, meaning “of the half of the moon.” John Paul reigned for about a month – from half a moon to the next half. * John Paul II (1978-) he named as De labore Solis, or “from the labor of the sun.” John Paul II was born during a solar eclipse. There are only two Popes named by St. Malachy after John Paul II. The first he names Gloria olivae. The second will be named Peter, and he may be the last Pope. Malachy’s prophecy about Peter says, “In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people.” The end of the world? Vince McMahon Interview

On creating new characters and storylines: "It's not easy. If it were easy, Ted Turner would still be in business. It's difficult, but something we've always been able to do, year after year. Beginning this "WrestleMania," we have two very strong characters: One is Batista on "Raw" and the other is John Cena on "Smackdown," both of whom we believe are going to carry those banners extremely well. It's their time." On whether Vince is expecting WWE to on UPN: "I am, and I'll tell you why. I'm not too sure UPN has an identity yet. We counter-program everything extremely well, we do well on Thursday nights and we make money for the network. I think our future is bright with UPN." On whether Vince is planning on returning to the ring: "Um, no. As a matter of fact, I have on knee braces as we speak. Seven weeks ago, I severed both of my quadriceps tendons doing a stunt in the ring. I wasn't warmed up, I didn't stretch and that unfortunately is major surgery. My character, his time has come and gone. I'll be 60 in August. I'm better utilized from a resource standpoint not being a performer. It was good while it lasted...but if I'm the chairman -- and I` am -- I'm better at doing other things." Note from Buck: Yes, Vince is referring to walking to the ring at the Royal Rumble as a "stunt". On advertisers Vince would like to get for WWE, but can't or haven't: "It's a matter of education. We don't have an automotive; we should. Our people drive cars. I'm not knocking the guys because our sales force is pretty strong, but they've always gone for the low-hanging fruit. They haven't taken the opportunity to really home in on an automotive. Why isn't General Motors buying? They could use the help right now." On trying to expand the current WWE fanbase: "We're going to be spending substantial sums of money going forward promoting our performers in areas you'd think we logically should be in anyhow -- Nascar, places like that. We haven't done that in the past because we have such an efficient model to promote -- we have four hours of prime-time television every week. Beginning in June, we're going be going outside of our environment. We think that we're going to strike gold." For the full interview, go to http://online.wsj.com/public/us (subscription required). Despite it being mentioned in the text in the article before the interview, there was no discussion of Raw leaving Spike or what the future holds for that show. Credit: PWInsider

How would WWE react in the event of a tragedy?

Not saying that that wouldn't be tragic but I was looking more towards like potential company killers. Here's another one, what if the building where the were doing a press conference blew up and HHH, Angle, Taker, HBK, Vince, Linda and any other main players died? That's a more far fetched, but like I said, things happen.

Markish impressions you had as a youth

When I started watching wrestling in 1999 I truly believed that wrestlers, except for a few, didn't know about each other. WCW didn't know about WWF and vice versa. I think this all came about because of the unsaid rule of not mentioning the other promotion at all. However, that quickly went away after a few months of research and visiting some messageboards.
