What in the world will it take for more people to know about Aaron Harang? Seriously this man is the foundation along with Phillips, Hamilton and Keppinger of the Reds team that with a few more pieces will be a true competitor. 14-3 so far on the season, and will probably have a record of like 17-4 or 18-3 by the end of the season, and no press will give him his due. That's okay though, Cincy has few bright spots on this team, but Harang shines brightest.

Is anyone else having as much fun as I am going through 20 odd years worth of reviews at Ebert & Roeper's site (www.atthemoviestv.com)? I love seeing reviews for films like "Die Hard", "Batman" and "Terminator 2", and a bunch more. It's just great to see all these clips of Gene, never realized how much I missed his input. I like Richard, and he's stepped up his game since roger went down last summer, but it's never been as fun as watching the original 2.

Made some great deals on TV on DVD today Got "From the Earth to the Moon" at Best Buy price matched at 24.96- it's what they're selling it for at WalMart. Then I find Seasons 1 & 2 of "Hill Street Blues" on sale at FYE for 14.99 each. Along with the first 2 seasons of "Alias" I picked up last month at Best Buy on sale (19.99 each) I have a lot of TV to watch now.

Do you think he just walked out into the middle of a park and then disappeared?

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Phoenix?
-
Now the question becomes- what the hell to the cut out for the film? Just finished it, short review- loved it, a very fitting conclusion, especially the last 6 chapters or so, from once they got into Hogsmede to the end. Harry's badass taunts at Tom Riddle before the final duel were sweet. Movie needs to be 3 hours, give it that epic touch, and release it in December I says.

Plus who wants to be told, hey want to see this movie, you have to pay TWICE- Sure the die-hard never change anything Potterheads might do it, but the rest of the movie going public would be pissed. Having read OOTP, I didn't have any problem with the changes and condensing of the book, oddly enough the one thing I missed was But maybe that'll be a deleted scene.

Actually, Ebert gave both Azkaban and Goblet ***1/2, liking them slightly less than the Columbus directed efforts. As far as me, I think I like Goblet the best, overall, the 1st one is great in introducing the world and the players. Azkaban is real good too, I've just been more into Goblet. As for Chambers, I like it, but it just doesn't play as well for me as the other 3.

Movie moments that gave/give you chills *Spoilers throughout*

Alien Not the chestburster scene, but when Dallas is in the vents and Lambert and Ripley see the Alien coming up behind him, then Dallas turns around and hellooooo Alien! That scene scares the shit out of me -
Reading Ebert's review (2 1/2 stars) today makes me think 2 things- 1)Roger hasn't read any of Rowling's books, because he truly thinks that Potter's world should still be magical and full of wonderment, and he hopes the series doesn't get darker. Uh, Rog, the lead villian is a megalomaniac who wants racial purity within the magical world, how can it not get darker? 2)When a series doesn't follow the tract that Roger thinks it should, he gets very stubborn. Granted, I haven't seen the film yet (will tonight) but it seems that Roger was reviewing the tone of the film instead of how it worked. And apparently he didn't like the tone.

Just rewatched "Warrior of the Lost World" "I get the feeling this film was made in Italy" "What do you expect from a country that had a pornstar in Parliment" MEGA-WEAPON!! -
If we're talking about facinating informative commentaries, everyone should listen to Coppola talk his way through 9 1/2 hrs of "The Godfather" saga. He's just as much a master storyteller with his voice as he is with his camera.

Does it amaze anyone else that here we are, 9-10 years later and Val Venis is still employed by WWE, long past his expiration date, what is he, like the Tony Garea of the 21st Century?

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
DMann2003 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
What's worse, and we all know we've thought it, is we'd feel better if it comes out that Nancy kille them, and not Chris- sad but true. Of course I just read on ABC news that there's no signs of gunshot OR stab wounds- could still be a poisoning- or even no homicide and the mentioned carbon monoxide could be the culprit. If we knew how their bodies were found, we'd have a clearer picture. -
Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released

Hearing Gretta Van Sustran on Fox News report on Chris' death has to be one of the most surreal things I have ever seen. I'm just floored right now. -

I am numb about this situation, it's so surreal. This is just a tragic situation, and RIP to Benoit and his whole family. His son and daughter and entire families of both are in my prayers. Just look at my avatar to know how I feel about this man.
