Just to those who think THE OTHERS shouldn't be ahead of the SURVIVORS- Why not? I mean, the Others are obviously well funded, with intelligent people, access to medicine and technology, they're aware of what's on the island, maybe even in control of it. As we've now seen, they were able to get detailed information on the survivors from plane records and searches no doubt. Up until a few weeks ago (island time) they were able to make contact with the mainland with frequency. Meanwhile the survivors have been through a harrowing ordeal, are complete strangers only slowly coming to know about each other, stuck on an island with limited supplies, no chance to make contact with the outside world...And then they start seeing a bunch of crazy shit on top of it, they're lucky they didn't become cannibals by now. So it doesn't bother me that The Others have the upperhand, it makes sense. However I do think Jack is fully aware that Juliet is a spy and is playing her along.
