I picked up the Dunder-Mifflin gift set from Best Buy, cause it's a pretty good deal if you didn't have season 1. Both sets for 42.99, plus some stuff like Dunder Mifflin notepads and pst-its, but both seasons for that price is a good deal.

Does anyone have a content listing for the Pillman DVD yet?

It's pouring rain outside, and that always makes me think of 'rain' songs- like "Who'll Stop the Rain", "November Rain", "Riders on the Storm", and especially "The Rain Song". I've come to the conclusion that "The Rain Song" was the best work of Zeppelin, I keep coming back to it and the album Houses of the Holy in particular. It just creates such a dreamlike soothing atmosphere, even if the lyrics are kind of silly. I know there are several here who share my sentiment. The again, I've really been digging "Ten Years Gone" too...

MSNBC has been doing it all day -
He could always dig up with father's remains, dump them in the center of the ring, piss on them, set them on fire, all while he cries about why his father never let him be a wrestler like he wanted. I've always felt Vince had some serious daddy issues, and in his mind how he's twisted the current WWE is his payback to his dad and all the guys of his era.

Street Fighter is the best movie ever.

It maybe out of print but I've found it before at WalMart for 5.50 AND it's a SE with Bonus Features too. -
For those wondering- the title is "A Matter of Life and Death" I might pick it up, has a 1hr bonus DVD with it.

Speaking of underrated Zeppelin, I think "The Rover" is their most underrated song, I mean that one has a killer riff and drums, and a real groovy solo too.

Thanks very much for the posts btw, I wish there was a database of old Observers, Meltzer could start a subscription database and I'd join it.

Considering the rampant steroid abuse going on during the 80's, and painkillers, it seems odd that Dave seemed completely indifferent to the issue, not mentioning any of this abuse as a cause for Dynamite's condition. Even Meltzer turned a blind eye to this stuff, and don't tell me he didn't know cause if anyone knew it was this guy.

"In the Evening" is such a kickass song

That's the end of this thread then.

I've been rereading "Half Blood Prince" and I'm visioning Bob Hoskins for Slughorn and Bill Nighy for Rufus Scrimgeour.

Honestly, you can remove the whole Ron as Keeper subplot effortlessly from the book and not loose any crucial main story points. I just hope they keep the scene where Mrs. Weasley is trying to rid a boggart that keeps turning into dead Weasley's as she sobs. That scene was cold in the book.

Okay, with 6 weeks left, what are the Reds chances, honestly of snagging NL Central or Wild Card? I seriosuly think they have a shot, their one major skid was heading into the All Star break, they haven't hit a true major slump, and even when they get thrashed, they end up bouncing back the next night.

I'm looking for your boys to sweep the Cards, keep it up.

Hey Hawk34 we're 1 game behind now, figures we'd run into Oswalt though tomorrow, we broke him once this year if we focus we can do it again. Lohse was in fine form tonight, and getting 3 hits too? Hopefully this night wasn't a fluke an we've got another comfortable starter in the line-up

I really hope Guardado just has a case of tendonitis and it's nothing worse, Reds needed that closer spot filled by a guy who can protect 1-2 run leads and Eddie was doing it for the most part. 2006 Reds- still alive, we need to seriously need to win 3/4 for the remaining homstead before the West coast trip.
-
Reds have been good at that this year, taking a bad game and dishing it right back, no better example then the 11-0 loss to the Brewers being returned in kind the next day 11-0 win.

Anyone got any crazy Autograph Signing stories?
DMann2003 replied to spman's topic in General Wrestling
I remmember going to a Sunday Night Heat in Feb of 99, there's a bunch of fans waiting at the top of the arena, overlooking the back entrance where the wrestlers are coming in. Most pass by and offer a couple waves to the fans, who are crying for pics and autographs. So walking towards the arena is Mick Foley, and the crowd I'm watching is going gaga, begging Mick to let them get an autograph. He looks up at the group (not big, about 4-5 people) and motions for them to come down. The group runs around down the stairwell to the back entrance area and Mick stands around signing autographs and taking photos for a good 5-10 minutes. Mick's a class act. -
3 words...WALKOFF DAVID ROSS. Cornolls Arroyo gets win 10 tomorrow I hope. God forbid ESPN actually cover a tight divisional series though...
