One of the best reviewed films of last year, Werner Herzog's documentary "Grizzly Man" is airing right now on Discovery Channel, repeating at 11pm and showing tomorrow at 8 and 11. It was ignored for the Best Documentary Oscar but it got some great reviews. Just wanted to let anyone who wanted to see this film know about this.

Just got to say, as much as I love the HD picture, hooking up my Home Theater system through the cable and getting surround makes it so much better.

I think it's behind the line

Just wondering what is the first film anyone here can remmember seeing in a theater- it's an interesting way to gauge people's tastes later on I think. I'm sure some saw more films on TV possibly before seeing one in a theater, but seeing a film in a theater is such a unique experience that I believe it deserves recognition. Me? It was E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, starting a life long appreciation of Steven Speilberg and probably a preference to more optomistic or hopeful films (not that I can't enjoy a good cynical film).

Here's a link to this year's awards, "Brokeback Mountain" leads with 8, and I guess George Clooney is the new Warren Beatty (3 noms for acting, directing, writing) Oscar Nominees

And I learned you CAN drop a penny from the top of the Empire State Building and not kill someone.

Dune is such a mind-fuck, I had to pick it up, extras are a little skimpy but better than nothing, love the packaging for it.

Just wanted to add as far as GOP pundits on cable the only one I ever give time too is Joe Scarborough, because even if I don't agree with him, he doesn't come across as a complete GOP ass-kisser.

Interesting that CGI animated films got shut out, No "Robots" "Madagascar" or "Chicken Little", granted none of them were great (Though I did like Robots)

He actually adressed that after his match with Low Ki, saying he respected the Code of Honor and wanted to shake his hand, but then Low Ki refused it.

But Hurt was as equally memorable as Harris (2 words..."Jesus, Joey") and he was on screen for less time, Oscars always love the "great performance that's only on screen for a few minutes"- Judi Dench won the Oscar for "Shakespeare in Love" and was onscreen for like 10 minutes in that film.

Looking at the list some quick notes- Good seeing William Hurt on there (shame about Donald Sutherland getting lost in the shuffle, "Pride & Prejudice" is good) Best Song, "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp"- from "Hustle & Flow", THIS SONG MUST WIN Shocked that Episode III is the only "Star Wars" film not to get a Visual Effects Nom, I mean it'd probably lose to "King Kong" anyway but still...

So I'll probably come off like some dumb mark, but was that stuff with CZW and ROH legit? I walked right behind those two while going to my seat thinking it was just another couple of drunk fans jaw jacking with the wrestlers. Cornette was busted in the mouth and looked real pissed too. Is this one of those XPW/ECW deals where there's legit heat between the two or is there actually been some angle running being the two promotions?
