Wrestling wouldn't be wrestling without bad guys. But most bad guys are just arrogant and cocky (Flair, Shawn circa 1992, HHH) or foreign menaces- What heels were real villians, the guys who didn't just want to beat the good guys and insult the fans, but had a real malice to them. 2 off the top of my head are Jake Roberts in 1991 and Brock Lesnar in 2003. Jake as a heel in 1991 went beyond standard bad guys cliches and became someone truly despicable, where for a moment you really felt the lines were being blurred. Lesnar wasn't as successful, but during that period where he attacked Zach Gowen and even shocked Vinnie Mac he showed a real streak of coldness and brutality. Any other suggestions?
