If anyone cares Ebert & Roeper gave the film 2 thumbs up, they review the film on this week's show. -

My Name is Earl stars Jason Lee, so hopefully it'll be good. -
As he's a fellow resident of the Dayton area (well Yellow Springs anyway) I too hope he can get the rest he needs and takes whatever time he needs to get well mentally and physically- don't go all Richard Pryor on us Dave. Still, it's be a pretty cunning way to get plublicity if this was a work by Dave (however I'm sure sadly it isn't).

Gee if they did this with him 10 years ago he might have been worthy of being KOTR

Me want WWE 24/7, TIme Warner Ohio Cable, you hear me?!

It looked cool, I liked the whole intro fading each of the 3 main characters over the four films. But did anyone check out the "Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe" teaser that debuted during the "Harry Potter" showing tonight on ABC?

Having a girlfriend who's huge into Backstreet, I always liked "The Call" myself. And their new song actually isn't half bad. But I too dig solo Timberlake.

This does mean in the grand scheme of things, Benoit's up yet again in meetings against HHH. -
Yeah, the Reds drove a rusty railroad spike into my heart tonight, yep. Don't speak the name Danny Graves to me for awhile.

I Heart Huckabees That was one of the oddest offbeat weirdest films I've ever seen. I found it very funny at points, but I'm not sure if it really added up to much in the end, definetely need to rewatch.

So who saw the bloody movie yet....like me! Overall it was a fun film, the romance was a little tacked on and I felt the editing was a bit choppy (especially in the middle), but the humor and attitude was there, everything with the Guide works great, Marvin and Zaphod are perfect (and the used an orchestral arrangement of "Journey of the Sorcerer" YES!!)

Fry- Leela, you have to do something for me Leela- What? Fry- Just wake up...

Which will make it mean all the more when Batista actually kicks out of the Pedigree at Backlash. That damn sure better be what they're building for...

Anyone else love the big kiss between George Michael and Maeby? And the fact that she actually initiated it. Of course "they may not be biological cousins* *wink*

Now see you view all those as stupid offerings. And yes the people involved are not on the talented side per se. But the true test and challenge in creating good soap opera/drama is to make something compelling with a guy that's not very compelling. I mean it's easy to get Shawn Michaels or Chris Benoit into a good fued because they'll back up more or less the ringwork. I'd look at creating a compelling way to reintroduce Mark Henry or book Wilson/Marie part 77 as a challenge, like when Foley wrote how he viewed wrestling a Van Hammer as a challenge to make it into something good.

I've been wanting to see Benoit vs Undertaker done for over 3 years now. It's one program that would work real well. 2 guys with the most respect from the lockeroom battling it out with all they have. And even though Benoit doesn't need the rub, 'Taker would probably drop it to him.

I've been thinking a lot lately (odd since I'm not a huge Star Wars geek, mainly stick to the films no EU) about the character of Annikan Skywalker/Darth Vader, and what a sad pathetic character he turns out to be. After I see Episode III I can more fully articulate my view on his character.

That whole bit with Eddie, Kurt and the steel chair- why I love wrestling.
-
U do realize we got a 20 minute match on both shows this week with good guys. This is why I'll still watch...
-
Given HHH's promo last night on RAW, I get the feeling that the match at Backlash will be built around Batista kicking out of the Pedigree. And yes I DO think Batista will kick out of the Pedigree at Backlash
-
I only caught the last 30 minutes of RAW but from what I can decipher it'll be Hogan/Michaels vs Hassaan/Davari at Backlash.

I'd never heard of this film, directed by Carl Reiner it stars Henry Winkler as an actor in the 1950's who becomes a pro wrestler to make money, but of course it affects his love life. I just turned it on midway on HBO but there's a scene where Winkler's character (a goostepping Nazi, JBL's inspiration) faces a good ol'army boy, who just happens to be Roddy Piper. Is anyone else familiar with this film.
