I was watching "The Main Event" from 2/89, where the Mega-Powers exploded, and it ends with Hogan in a rage searching the backstage area for Randy Savage, and in one of the strangest moments (in hindsight) he grabs a passing Shawn Michaels by the head screaming "Where's Randy!" and then does the very same thing to Bret Hart who's coming up behind Shawn. I just found that incredibly odd and funny, thought I'd share.

If this guy wants wrestling at its best to be a sport, they might as well turn Olympic wrestling into a pro sport. I've always wondered that, why hasn't Greco-Roman or Freestyle wrestling ever been turned into a professional sport, Probably because no one wants to do it and have it called "pro wrestling" A wrestling promotion without good guys and bad guys? Never ever gonna happen. Wrestling had had heroes and villians since the days of Lou Thez. I agree that wrestling is a morality play. My problem is that I feel the morality isn't clearly defined enough. I'm tired of 'shades of grey'. Wrestling should tell basic simple stories of right vs wrong. When the stories get too cute and complicated is when wrestling falls apart. An example- the current fued building between HHH and Batista is at its heart a simple tale. The mentor (HHH, off topic isn't it odd that the mentor is younger than the student?) sees that his student (Batista) has become bigger than him and he's jealous. Basic emotions, jealousy, anger, are what makes wrestling in my opinion. The best reactions in wrestling are gut reactions.

What if Ric Flair & Barry Whindham had joined Arn & Tully going to the WWF in 1988?
-
True Story- Turn Me on Dead Man the true story of how a DJ and two college students spread the rumor that Paul McCatrney died and was replaced in the Beatles. And speaking of The Beatles Shout the story of the Beatles from 62-70. Or a film about Monty Python, done in the style of a Python film. Remake- Back to the Future, but only in the year 2015 and the kid travels back to 1985. Sequel- What else, Evil Dead 4.

Orton plays loopy real well
-
Anyone think he's doing the babyface shtick a little thick right now, I mean I know he was a bland babyface, but I don't remmember Orton doing all that handslapping much.

Oh, I just know the wanted to kiss there...

What the freaking' hell happened there?

Flair was his age at that time So was Andre

I'd love it if HHH assumes Batista will jump to Smackdown and challenge JBL

I was just wondering after the cage match with Hogan in January from SNME, where'd Orndorf go? I can only assume he was injured because he was back by the fall that year. I can only assume he was injured because why leave a big heel (at the time) off a major card like this. He could've wrestled George Steele or something. Anyone have any info?
-
From what I know, Orndorf's arm is the result of a pinched nerve in his neck that was never properly healed, cause his left arm to atrophy (sp). Benoit touches on it in his DVD and it's one of the reasons he took neck surgury, which Paul never did hence what you see today.
-
That was the plan if Andre wasn't able to wrestle at WM III. The match would've been better that's for sure
-
That has not ever been explained, they just didn't invite him from what I know. What'd he do, smash up Stephanie's Barbie Dream House or something?
-
Just seems weird that Orndorf wasn't even present in some form, like backstage cackling with Andre and Heenan.

Basically I'm looking to trade for a copy of Clash of the Champions 7 (Funk vs Steamboat) and 8 (Flair & Sting vs Muta & Slater) Plus if anyone has WCW Saturday Nights or comps of stuff from like 1988-92 let me know I'd be interested (heck any Prime Time or Superstars stuff from that time period too).

*Bump* I picked it up tonight at the store I work at cause in addition to being marked 25% off I got an additional 20% off for being an employee (not a common thing, just happened that this month was 20% off all books and magazines). I'll start reading it probably a but tonight and more tomorrow.

The Great American Bash switch to July kinda fits, that's the month that they used to always have it in . . . what I wouldn't give to see them do a "War Games" match there for the main event. It'll NEVER happen, but I guess I can dream, right? According to Meltzer, Triple H has been begging for Wargames for a while but Vince won't budge. See, HHH can't get everything he wants just cause he's the son-in-law. Figures it's the one thing we'd want too...

Not a single mention for "Real Genius"? Val Kilmer, William Atherton, a bunch of guys who I never saw in another film since. It's criminal the DVD is bare bones. I mean, genius teens accidentally build a high powered laser their teacher is selling to the millitary, only to turn it against him so his dream house can be destroyed by a bunch of popcorn. "I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates when he said, 'I drank what?'"

That sex didn't seem enjoyable, it was sex between two desperate lonely people trying to make a human connection. There was nothing remotely erotic or sexy about that sex scene. It was two lonely desperate people with issues engaging in ugly angry sex, and it was more depressing than anything. It was hard to watch not enjoyable. That's exactly what I said "Can you make me feel goooood..."
-
And may I just state that No Sky Captain for visual effects or Polar Express for animated feature? Bah!

Who Church or Giamatti?
-
No more than Alec Baldwin I thought And at least Giamatti won't have to relieve the agony of the Globes, knowing that Foxx is gonna win. Think Rock will live up to his threat if Foxx doesn't win?

I love the fact that 3 of the best pictures have "nominees to be determined" in reference to who gets credited as producer come Oscar Night. I read an article about this in the New York Times, the Academy is limiting the number of recognizable producers to 3.
