Okay, Benoit looked goofy/psycho in that fade out....I LOVE IT!
-
Forget Wrestlecrap, it's so bizzarre it's Storyline of the Year Candidate! It's like something by David Lynch or David Cronenberg
-
"Kane, I noticed you have a gasoline can and a book of matches, what's the significance of these...." "Ask JR Toddy boy......"

I must admit, even though the storyline is ridiculous, I'm obssessed with seeing where this whole thing goes...

Oh man....Todd Grisham's been invited to a BBQ....HIS OWN!

Awww, man this is classic face tag team match ups, like the legendary time The Hart Foundation met the LOD... Man tag team wrestling sucks today

I don't understand it, but I have a more fun time watching stuff from 88 than the stuff from today. I mean the matches were probably worse than the average match today, there was still a roided ugly monster with the initials HHH dominating everything (I know he wasn't Hollywood till 96 but go with it) and some of storyline's made even less sense. So why do I enjoy watching SNME, Superstars and PPV's from the 80's easier than say, popping in a RAW from 2 weeks ago. 1)Nostalgia, I guess because this was the age I became a fan, I'll always connect fond memories with it. 2)Not oversaturated, angles could take their time, so even if they were stupid, they weren't rushed. 3)The aura of mystery, I know more about what's going on behind the scenes of the current product than I do the backstory behind stuff from 15 years ago. Suspension of disbelief is easier when you don't know who's trying to bury who to protect their spot. Anyone else get the same feeling as I do?

Well I'm pretty sure Time Warner Digital will be getting it, I'll have to call them up and find out what they know. We're just one small step away from WWE Slam TV (24hr cable channel)

When I was a kid I watched that match over and over again. That suplerplex is, to this day, amazing to see. Your banner needs more Bossman
-
Just rewatched the SNME cage match with Hogan....that suplex is unforgettable.

What kind of mindset do you have to have to voluntarily let someone shoot a dart into your back..... Big Show's One Tough (and Nasty) Bastard

Bossman (and Akeem?) eliminated Hogan at the '89 Rumble, stunning the crowd who had expected Hogan to win. The Towers and Mega-Powers feud that began in the fall of 1988, spawned the angle that led me to initially follow professional wrestling. Of course, I'm talking about the infamous tag match on the February SNME show, as well as the cage match blowoff he had with Hogan in the May SNME, which led Hogan into his new feud with Tiny "Zeus" Lister. OMG Bravesfan, the exact same angle & match made us fans, cause I never really followed wrestling until that Main Event. That makes me miss Bossman even more now
-
He was one of the first wrestling figures I owned.... I'm just numbed by this, it's Mr. Perfect & Elizabeth all over, I will be shocked if this death is due to "outside" circumstances, still too young though. Big Bossman you were a helluva wrestler and entertainer and DMann2003 says so...RIP

Having gone through everything on these DVD's I have one major complaint....and it has to do with the director of the best film of the three. All Irvin Kirshner does on the commentary is describe what's going on on-screen. Everytime he talks it's like this "Now here's Lando, he's an old friend of Han, but he seems real angry at Han, is he mad?....Ah...No he gives him a great big hug cause he's happy to see him...." Say what you want about Lucas but he has a lot of interesting information regarding the trilogy when he makes his comments, and he never recites what's on screen.

There's a pretty cool DVD-ROM feature, well it's just script-to-screen, but it's the 4th draft so there's little differences between the script and the final film. They'll be updating content to do the same for Empire and Jedi, plus text trivia. Now if he just posts those deleted scenes (like Luke and Biggs on Tatooine)...

I'm about 60 minutes away from going down to FYE to pick it up (they have it with a 15 dollar rebate so after rebate it's 34.99) I'm so psyched, been watching "From Star Wars to Jedi" too bad they didn't put that on the disc (along with the cool 78 TV doc)

You guys can just look for the Walt Disney Treasures DVD "On the Front Lines", it has a bunch of the WWII Propoganda that Disney made including that Donald cartoon and a few other controversial cartoons from the time period. I fully endorse picking up the DVD (among other Walt Disney Treasures)

Off topic, that avatar, and I'm seeing that right, is that AJ Styles doing what appears to be some Sunset-flip piledriver? Nah, It's Petey williams doing his finisher, the Canadian Destroyer, which is basically a flip piledriver.. That is both the most SWANK and CONVINCING Finisher I've seen in awhile.
