Very true. But I have to admit, that Bears face is priceless. Swiggy......you do realiize that it comes across as you have a obsession with a homosexual bear right? Did you not read the Sir Voice thread for a while? That's tame compared to what we said in there. And no, I'm not obsessed with a gay bear. Yet. I just think he was cute in that picture.

How about the cage match with Harley Race? I, for one, think that it is one of the best cage matches I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Super Flair Mark 19904, but I do think that his early work is some of the best I've seen.

I agree with this as well. Bring in some Japanese or Mexican workers to establish that the title is truly a WORLD title. You could even have clips of the champ defending the title in Mexico and Japan on the show to emphasize it. (Note: I'm a huge mark for the Tanaka vs. Awesome feud in ECW, so this would be great. Not to mention that most marks never saw that feud.) Also not to mention that there are shitloads of workers in Japan and Mexico that would make Tanaka/Awesome look foolish. And I would love to be able to see them. The only Japanese wrestling I've seen is the old FMW DVD's they sold at FYE. I would love to see something else.

I'll just say that there is not a name out there that wouldn't be an improvement over "Baby Bear". Hell, "The Vicious Fluffy Bunny" would be better. -=Mike If I ever wrestle, I'm stealing the "Vicious Fluffy Bunny" name. Don't worry, though, I'll credit you with the name in interviews.

I was thinking you could improve television production and hire better writers. And maybe better announcers.

I watched it with a bunch of marks in a dorm, and all it got was laughter and the neverending quote of "Well, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU SLEEP WITH HIM THEN?" They also called her a slut, and a retard.

I see both sides to the argument, and I think both sides are right. I've never been much of a Bret mark, and as a Southerner, I grew up on Flair. I've realized that a lot of Flair's matches are "routine" matches, but mostly after he'd already established himself as a solid ME worker. If you watch most of his stuff from early on, he'll vary in his matches, but after the late eighties, its a lot of repetition. I would assume mostly age caused this, and learning what gets the best response out of the crowd. This is also a flaw of Foley's, ironically enough. Bret, though, is much like Benoit is his Old School passion and technical working style. No surprise, since they were both trained by Stu. The big problem is, though, that Bret doesn't admit that routine workers can draw just as much as technical wrestlers and character wrestlers. They may not understand the "proper" psychology, but I would say there are a lot of wrestlers that don't understand it anymore. Just watch WWE and see how many guys barely sell moves that were devestating ten years ago. It's the evolution of the sport, but it's also the degradation of it as well. I completely see how Flair could be a bastard (especially for the Owen remarks), but I can't say that Bret's 100% right either.

I'm with both of you in that I can't stand D-Ray, but at least the dude is doing it for the right reasons. I'd rather have someone I hate wrestling for the love of wrestling than someone I hate wrestling for the love of money. I can hate the guy all I want, but that reason alone makes me at least respect his desire.

That is quite possibly the longest post I've ever seen. And one of the most amusing. Thank you, LAZ

Who said it was WWE's idea? Maybe it was his?

I would like to add that when I was a kid, I saw Flair and AA vs Sting and Lex Luger in a cage match. That sounded better before I typed it. -
Dude, D-RAY 3000 is just a jobber in a jobber tag team now if for example he was like the WWE's Eugene and almost in every segment including the Main Event I could see your complaint but he's not. Also sinces he's with Sharkboy, he will probaly either die or be fired. Which would I prefer? die or fired? Man, tough choice.

Stick to 5 a year IMO. Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Summerslam, Survivor Series. Those were the days....of course the 4 PPV's a year scenario wasn't too bad either. I would have to agree... to a point. I would say do four seperates a year, and then Wrestlemania and Survivor Series as joint PPVs. It would give them more money, and allow for the seperate PPV's so each brand can have their own PPV's

Now, yes. It used to be more quality music and less shitty "pop/rock." But ever since Dashboard Confessional and the other shitty "Pop Punk" bands showed up, they've been labeled emo. That's why there's quotations around the emo. It's become just a bunch of pretty boys whining about how they can't get laid. Consider, though, the amount of records sold in 1969 in proportion to the amount of records sold in the 1990's. Back then selling 100,000 records was HUGE. I would consider it equivalent to selling a million now. The fact that Johnny Cash did things his way was what made him so good. The reason his sales dropped in the 80's is because he listened to the record labels and did what they wanted instead of what he wanted. His last four albums and the box set released post-mortem show that when he made music "his way" he could still make phenomenal music. Johnny Cash is a legend, and you don't get much bigger than that.

I missed that so I could watch RAW that Monday night. You saw a MOTY candidate, I saw La Resistance win a flag match. Color me disappointed. Also saw: Scott Steiner turn on Buff Bagwell on Nitro. -
The point was that I so dislike the name "Baby Bear" that I would prefer him being "The Next," even though I dislike that name. It had nothing to do with where the name came from.
-
His manager is Goldylocks. Get it now? ... *Groan.* What is it with TNA and stupid names? I mean, I like the fact that they're using Shelley, especially since he'll still be working RoH, but come on now, BABY BEAR? Yeah, I would prefer "The Next" to "Baby Bear" anyday. *cough this is not Ring Of Honor, TNA could care less what they do cough* *cough THAT'S NOT THE FUCKING POINT cough*

Couldn't you say the same about the "emo" bands that have been out the past year or two? (All American Rejects, etc...)
