Where are they going to have a PPV in Cincy? US Bank Arena/Firstar Center/Riverfront Coliseum? HA. That's funny. I remember Nitro there. It's a pretty small building. I could see an outdoor show at Paul Brown Stadium, but nothing in US Bank Arena. The only reason Souled Out worked is because WCW was slowly going the way of the Buffalo. EDIT: I forgot about the recent RAW. What a hot crowd.

Didn't Foley say some not so mean things about Russo? I seem to remember him not liking the sex, but enjoying his enthusiasm or something.
-
It was WMX7, and it was fairly good.

You know, you'd think they would at least acknowledge the fact that there are two very attractive women looking lustfully at each other, but no. We get shampoo jokes
-
Here's why I like them: It helps maintain focus on the feuds. - As great as it is to get crowd reactions, they can sometimes drown out the importance of what's being said. It prevents people from getting overly bored during the show. There's nothing worse than someone taking eight minutes to yak on the stick when they could say it in two in front of a camera. It builds tension between the confrontations. - I prefer hearing what the wrestlers have to say, and then seeing their opponents reactions when they have a match. The cheap shot at the end of a promo is a little over done. Old school promos are much more intimate. - It feels like HHH, HBK, and Benoit are telling US what they feel about their opponents. They want us to understand them, not each other. The match gets more emotional that way

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really enjoying the Old School taped interviews that they're doing on RAW. I think they started with Foley, and now each of the guys in the Triple Threat ME at Backlash. Is this the beginning of a new promo style for WWE? Will we never again have to sit through twenty minute promos from HHH-uh?

Watch them put Steiner or Test on Smackdown and push one of them into the main event against Eddie.

I was happier with less PPV's. I don't like the month-to-month buildup they had from 98-2002. I prefer the longer build up between the big shows. But I guess WWE has $$$$$$ in their eyes. Bastards

I wouldn't think it would take focus of the X division title, as the X Title is based on style. I don't think it would be a good idea for them to do it if they're going to a one hour show on Fox. They would need at least the two hour show to help them develop it.

WHAT?? Are you listening to what you are saying??? TNA splurges every time they bring in a Sting, Luger, etc. Hell, they were going to bring in HOGAN!!!! That would be the biggest splurge that you could imagine....... Actually the biggest reason TNA has a better chance on tv is that it looks a million times better. ECW looked totally bush league when it was on tv with the shitties product you could imagine. TNA has at least WCW level production. At least has WCW level production? At least? WCW level production is pretty weak. Not saying it's worse than ECW, but the only reason WCW didn't look bush league is because it booked bigger arenas with Ted Turner's wallet. Anyway, I think it's all monkey crap. I'd say a lot of TNA's fanbase is fans who've seen guys like AJ Styles and Christoper Daniels at ROH shows.

RRR, you just explained why Mick Foley has been one of the best wrestlers of the past decade. Though I can't argue with Tawren saying Foley's coming back after he said he wouldn't is bs.

Rhyno as an enforcer would be great. I can't see him getting higher than the midcard, regrettably, as I love Rhyno, but he would be a great Arn Anderson to someone's Ric Flair. Maybe have him help someone work their way up the ladder to the IC title, and then act as if it was all their fault. He gets pissed and they feud. Sounds good to me.

I'm actually very fond of the split, as I can actually watch mid-carders. RAW and Smackdown before the split were nothing but main event shows, with the exception of Kanyon. I would prefer to see the split maintained, but I would love for RAW to become WCW and Smackdown be WWE. It would be sooooo sweet

I have this sinking feeling in my stomach
TheBigSwigg replied to CanadianChick's topic in The WWE Folder
I actually prefer the women when they are not sex objects. The T&A women just get on my nerves. If I wanted to see nudity, I'd order porn. I watch wrestling to see wrestling, and the angles aren't a bad extra. The Jericho/Trish angle is actually one of the better ones they've had as it's been consistent, and fairly old school. I think the angle has less to do with trying to attract female viewers than it does with the fact that Jericho/Trish/Christian all agreed to work the angle together. Saying it's just to get women to watch is a little foolish. I must say that the Christian/Jericho match at WMXX was one of the better ones BECAUSE of the angle -
Maybe it's a "Best Of" DVD.

The Eugene gimmick will get Dinsmore as over as the S.H.I.T. gimmick did for Rosey. The only difference is that Dinsmore will have some in ring talent to make up for the sucky gimmick. I still don't think it will last long. As for gimmicks in general, I'm all for them as long as they're not outrageous *coughDOINKTHECLOWNcough*. Otherwise it gets embarassing to watch wrestling.

He's pretty much the reason I started this post. Him and Siaki. I think a mid-card title could help further establish them as stars, as throwing Harris in the title picture seemed a little odd when I first saw it. I will agree, though, that bringing it in at this very moment might not be the best thing. That's so fake it's sad. The timing is too fast, the images are ok, but they don't even give the info on how to buy it. Good effort, not enough thought.

I was just wanting to know what everyone thought of the Sunday night Encore of the Draft Lottery. Is this just Spike TV filling air time?
-
There are only two matches on that card I'd want to see. Orton vs. Foley Christian vs. Jericho everything else looks to be decent, but not worth paying $35. I'd be disappointed in a Triple Threat for the Title. I'm sick of HBK and HHH. Not to mention that I HATE Edge nearly as much as HHH. Where are the "BIG SHAKEUPS" that the draft was supposed to bring?
-
Don't know if anyone has answered this for you or not, but new guys come in when you have a training camp. If you're playing WWE you may, but I'm not sure as I've never played a WWE game

Does anyone know how to beat the copyright protection on the WWE DVD's? I've tried to copy a couple of matches off of WMX8 as well as a No Mercy DVD, and I can't.
-
I don't know, man...I don't think they can last _that_ long just on weekly PPVs...they _desperately_ need TV, and if they only had 2 taping dates a month plus one PPV it wouldn't be _that_ bad... You forget that they could also get sponsorship deals for their TV tapings. This would also put money in their pockets. Also, how many more people would watch NWA-TNA for FREE? I know I would. I wouldn't pay $10, but I would sure watch it for nothing. (Holy hell, that kind of sounded like Harry Caray.)

Can someone tell Al Snow that the Babbaganoush shit is not funny?
-
Interesting idea, but that would mean ECW would run against PPV's every month.
