    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

Welp. I was wrong about Randy/Brock. And if the rumor is true that Brock came in with an injury, that makes it even more impressive. Randy was on his way to winning before he got donged with a massive punch. Nothing you can do at that point. And if I was Kenny Florian, I'd be pissed. What more does the man have to do? BJ Penn gets to run off and get a title shot in another division when he hasn't beaten everyone in his own division, so Kenny has to continuously fight and win while being told he's the top contender? I'd want to just jump Penn at this point and steal the title.

I finished Fallout 3, and what was kind of a "meh" feeling has turned into bitter disgust the more I've played around with it and thought about it.

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

Is there no way to trade CAW's? My friends have it and say they took out the mode to do it. Is it possible anymore?

Moral of the story. Don't ask for a huge contract and then get KO'd by a guy making probably a tenth of your deal. Bad idea.

Use the .44 Scoped Magnum on the Fire Ants. You can find it in Rivet City and sometimes on Raiders. That thing? One shot in the head with manual aim and they die instantly. If one shot doesn't do it, two generally will and with the scope you can be far, far away. I find with scoped weapons that you shouldn't use VATS. It's much easier to tap into your FPS experience and manually shoot. I spent forever to figure out how to get into Rivet City myself. Last night, I finally figured out how to get into DC "proper" to get to the National Archives and other major sites. You have to go through a series of tunnels which the game did a poor job explaining until I was right on top of the first one I had to go through. I guess I was just...walking around the outskirts and there's no damn way in other then the tunnels.

Meltzer's talked about the UFC's lack of hype for this show for a few weeks now. He thinks it's them finally being burned out from doing way too much between UFC and WEC. They had all kinds of things planned to make this show be huge. A three part Spike special for instance, but for whatever reason, UFC didn't do them. Meltz seems to think they now have a "we gotta build for this show too" mentality now instead of focusing on what should be their biggest one. The lack of buzz is incredible considering how this fight set the world on fire months ago.

Selling some DVD's and 360 Games

I don't know if anyone will be interested in any of this, but like my last item, I figured I'd offer it up here to see if anyone was interested before I tried Ebay. I'm selling several things to try and get some cash flow going. A couple DVD's and some Xbox 360 games. Everything listed here is in good to fantastic condition. Most was bought second hand from Ebay, but if it wasn't in good condition I wouldn't sell it. Royal Rumble Anthology Volume 1: Covers the 88 to 92 Rumbles. I got this for about 23 dollars with five dollar shipping, and I'd be willing to sell it for about the same. Mick Foley - Greatest Hits & Misses: Didn't even have the match I wanted on it. I got this for about ten dollars, plus about five in S&H. But I'm negotiable on this one. It's a pretty old set. Marvel Ultimate Alliance & Forza 2: I paid way too much for this about a year ago. I'd be willing to part with it for five to ten dollars, about what you'd get on Ebay. I doubt anyone will be too interested though. Viva Pinata: Got this because I thought it'd be a fun Harvest Moon type game. Bored me to tears. I paid a scant five dollars plus about four S&H for it, I'd be willing to part with it for exactly the same. Call of Duty 4: Got this as a new multiplayer game with friends, but we quit playing it when it stopped being fun and instead was simply aggravating. Still sells for quite a bit retail, but I'd be willing to part with it for about 30. It is *not* GOTY, so it does not have the downloadable maps. Pictures can be provided if needed. If I don't get any interest in a day or two, I will put the items up on Ebay, so there is sort of a time limit on this. But know that I do have a perfect score on Ebay and I like to consider myself a good seller. So, as the Ebay phrase goes, "buy with confidence".

    Fallout 3

I'm level 12 or so now...I got Dogmeat, and I actually find it more interesting now. If he dies, you can't bring him back (or any other companions), so I'm constantly aware of him and what he's doing. He died on me once by rushing into a room with four super mutants brutes, and there wasn't anything I could do to save him. Myself though? At this point, with my sheer armament and caps, there isn't anything I've ran into that can kill me. Four super mutants brutes can hurt me, but they can't come close to killing me. As long as I have my Combat Shotgun, Sniper, and Magnum well stocked, they die far quicker then I ever could. I'm trying to get to the National Archive, but I cannot find the way...I was trying to get to the GNR Building for no real reason yesterday, but same thing. There's always building and piles of concrete in my damned way.

    Fallout 3

I'm doing pretty good being good. I'd be doing even better had I been able to complete optional requirements on some of the quests, but for some reason or another I couldn't. The key is that you can't be "TOO" good. You have to steal to survive. If I couldn't steal guns, ammo, or just random stuff I'd have no money whatsoever.

    Fallout 3

I am deep in the Fire Ants quest. To show how difficult this is, I went in with 60+ Shotgun shells, 40+Magnum Ammo, and over 150+ In 10 MM ammo and other ammo, and I am just about tapped for ammo. I still have the 10 MM Ammo, but that's about it. The quest was a breeze until I ran out of Magnum ammo. One well aimed shot to the head would kill them, but after I ran out it's been much harder. I'm also out of stimpacks, and basically just ingesting whatever I have on me to survive. If getting back to a place I could fast travel from wouldn't be a bitch, I'd just run to Rivet City and restock up. I'm not even to the "hard" part of the quest yet.

    Fallout 3

    1. Best way to make money is to scavange. Steal, loot, whatever you have to. There's no "easy" way to make money, and things like Ammo cost alot. 2. Hacking works thusly. You select a word. It then tells you how many letters/numbers were correct in that answer. From there it's a logic puzzle. You just have to find the one word that has the values. 3. Ammo is sold in several places, but I don't think I'd call it "cheap". If you have good barter, you'll do better, but it's not very cheap. 4. God yes. Don't even go near those ants. I'm almost level eight, and I still haven't done it. Evil, mean creatures.

    Fallout 3

I got my 360 and Fallout yesterday. I'm already level seven going on eight. I've played...alot. The game has issues. It plays like a meshing of Oblivion and Fallout, but it's still a good game. I am a "Ranger of the Wastes" and beloved by the peoples! Too bad my character build is kind of broken. When I made my guy, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with him. I tagged Repair, Small Guns, and Lockpicking for the early game. I wish I had tagged Science. I also made a mistake because I wanted to be a Big Gun character, but when I couldn't find any big guns, I started working on my Small guns. This has paid off tremendously. So I kind of wasted the stats I put in Big Guns. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating not being able to do certain things because I don't have high enough science...but whatcha gonna do. Considering my level, I'm probably pretty well off. I have a Magnum 44 with a scope, an assault rifle, a .10 MM Submachinegun, two types of Shotgun, a sniper, various bombs, and a Shishkabob. And more importantly, I have ammo for everything. Blowing a Super Mutant Brute's head off with a single sniper shot without vats = Fucking funny.

Kang's inconsistent. That's the best way to put him. He has the talent and skill to be a top of the line fighter, but every so often, he seems to fight under par. On the flipside, he is wildly popular in Korea and next to Choi or Akiyama, is probably the best signing UFC can make to help break into the market.

It always amuses me when it's the LOSING fighter that fails the drug test. I mean, talk about feeling stupid. It didn't help you win, and then hurt your career significantly.

I did earlier. On Gomi anyway. Dude won the fight pretty clearly. Gomi was winning until he got nailed with a jab as he was swinging in. He went down, and had the guy shown any killer instinct, would have been easily finished. Instead, the guy was scared and allowed Gomi to recover. But make no mistake, Gomi was done. It was the closest anyone got to winning the fight (Gomi had two sub attempts, but the guy basically locked down on the limbs with everything he had to defend) so he won. Other then that, Gomi had it won, but not by a significant margin. You've got to remember. Rounds mean nothing. It's who comes close to winning that matters. The guy won fair.

    Fallout 3

I'll be getting back my 360 tomorrow. I'm trying to get school work out the way so I can gorge, but we'll see how that goes. I wish I could say during this downtime that I've used my 360 less time for good, but that would be a lie. Most of the complaints I've seen of Fallout 3 fall into a few categories: #1 is obviously Fallout fans who are annoyed the game isn't isometric or turn based. This was heavy before the game came out, and it seems to be making a comeback. #2 are shooter fans who don't like the RPG aspect or RPG fans who don't like the shooting aspect. I've seen it go both ways. Fascinating. #3 are legitimate complaints. These come rarely. Stuff like Power Armor being nerfed dramatically, or Gauss weapons not being in the game. Legitimate gripes about how Bethesda handled the game. and then there's weird stuff. Like right after the game came out, I was seeing alot of Fallout 3 versus Mass Effect posts. I've had quite a bit of fun monitoring the board at Bethesda's forums.

The Ultimate Fighter: Noguiera vs Mir

There's nothing to "get" really. He's like Mick from Rocky, or Kamogawa from Hajime no Ippo. An old, cankerous man who clearly tries to encourage his fighters. He just uses whacky phrases from time to time to get it done. He's a real life TV character which is *awesome*. "Fight. Fight. Kill. Kill." is still the best one.

I just remembered. I have to say this. Lil' Nog proved he's not an elite LHW last night. It's not that his opponent was bad. He had pretty good stand up from what I saw, but he was one dimensional. A BJJ expert like Nog should have easily been able to stop him, but instead Lil' Nog was gunshy the entire fight. The stream I was on had issues, but from what I saw he just...wasn't engaging. I cut the joke that he was scared due to the last time he fought a black striker. It actually seemed like it the more the fight went on. Against all the other top LHW's in UFC, Lil'Nog probably would do no better then taking them to a decision. He didn't show anything, really.

Sengoku was...alright. It was incredibly boring until about halfway through. The Gomi fight is an oddity. I got into an argument with a friend over it. Gomi wasn't NEARLY aggressive enough, but every time he did try to throw bombs, the guy used good evasion to get away. Gomi would have had the fight won, but the guy landed a lucky jab that landed right on the button with Gomi's forward momentium with a punch and he was rocked. The guy's inexperience was pretty evident, as he was scared to rush in to finish Gomi but Gomi was *done*. He also seemed to tweak his knee, as through the third round he was clearly slower. Gomi had problems with the guy's range and probably didn't train enough, but I didn't see it being a factor. He would have gassed had he not trained well. Had Gomi been more aggressive, he probably would have won easily but I don't buy it as being that simple. The guy had a clear speed advantage that he was using with movement. You don't really beat speed by running at them and throwing full force. That lucky jab showed why. But then again, throughout the entire event I thought Eiji Mitsuoka had won the fight with Kitaoka. So I was clearly in another realm of mental thought. Speaking of Kitaoka, he impressed me. He's alot like Aokl in that he's CLEARLY one-sided in his game, but damned if that one side isn't really good. He's also got decent standup with power. His opponent in the finals had the strategy of RUNNING to the ropes everytime Kitaoka shooted to get the ref to break them up. A cheap strategy, but it worked. King Mo is awesome. And no he's not Mighty Mo. Picture a charismatic black man with a good athletic build, who comes out wearing a crown, a robe, and a sceptor who has Japanese women following him who also dances. And has pretty goddamn scary G&P. Fabio Silva had no answer for Mo's takedowns and the beating he was giving him. It was like a low-rent Fedor, in that he was just PUMMELLING him until he finally nailed Silva good and finished him. He then had a dance party in the aisleway. Awesome man. Japanese promotions need to cut it out with the twelve fight cards, or whatever insane number this was. I don't even remember any other fights that weren't tournament ones, and I know they were there.

    Fallout 3

So...I got Fallout 3. As I mentioned in the Xbox 360 thread, my 360 upped and died for no apparent reason a few weeks back. I went ahead and preordered on Amazon because due to them shipping the 360 back to me on Monday, I figured...ya know? Thursday or Friday at most. Maybe even they'd get it to me super quick! No. Monday is the earliest it's listed as a possible delivery. So, for six days, I have to sit here and stare at the goddamn box of the game I've been looking forward to for years. This. THIS. Is hell.

    Major Shakeup In ROH

Age of the Fall might have been a good stable if they would have ever presented a good reason for why they were together, what they were against, and what their general goal was and how ROH connected to it. I never saw any of that. Nor have I ever seen anyone tell me what any of that way. If they did at some show, I never saw it, but please tell me. If they never said any of that, then it's not a good storyline.
