There's actually a few of us...Well...three that I know of. Rant, Baron, and myself. Conviently, I think we all live in the Northwest.

This game is frustrating as a Seahawk's fan...The defense is playing probably the best they've played all year, but the offense has decided to completely become inept after the first few drives. Such a frustrating ass team at times.

Patrick Kerney is a BEAST. Everytime they show his face it looks like he's in a psychotic breakdown and might shank everyone around him.

John Edwards - 21 Hilary Clinton - 19 Barack Obama - 18 Bottom three Ron Paul - 4 John McCain - 5 Duncan Hunter - 5 I'll be voting for Obama if he makes it that far, so this is pretty accurate.

I don't play online against other people very often. When I do, I generally play against some REALLY stupid motherfuckers. In Halo a week or so ago, I tried a form of Oddball (Or whatever it is where you get the ball and you have to keep it for a certain time to win) online, and seemingly not a single one of them got the rules, and just randomly ran around shooting each other while the ONE smart other person got the ball and won. It was one of the most insanely stupid things I've ever seen. Occasionally, you run into a pretty smart player who isn't a total idiot...but that's pretty rare. -
Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks This depends on the Seahawks. As a Washington resident, I've seen everyone of the Seahawk's games, and they are fucking SPOTTY. There have been games where they've looked like one of the toughest teams in the league, but the very next week, they've looked completely inept. They seemingly can't figure out who the fuck they are. On the flipside, the Redskins are coming in to kick ass. So if the Seahawk's don't play to their top they'll lose...I'll still pick the Seahawks, because I feel if they play to their best, they are the better team. But if they have an "off" day again, their going to be hurt. Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers These two teams played not too long ago if memory serves, and the Jaguars kicked the Steeler's asses. There hasn't been that much of a change other then bad for the Steeler losing Willie Parker...I say the Jaguars win this game, and fairly comfortably possibly by ten or more. Tennessee Titans @ San Diego Chargers There is absolutely no reason, whatsoever, why the Chargers shouldn't win this game...but then again, that's been the line pretty much all season. The Chargers have looked good the last few weeks, but I can't shake the feeling that their going to have a burnout here, but I think dispite possibly having a horrible day, they still somehow get by the Titans. New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers I'm rooting on the Bucs, if only because they have Jeff Garcia, who is one of my favorite players. Like the Seahawks/Redskins game, this will depend on the Giants. If they play like they did against the Patriots, they'll win this game. They were keeping up, and for a period of time beating the Patriots because they weren't making stupid mistakes. Had Eli Manning not thrown that INT, the Giants would have won that game. If Eli Manning and the Giant's Defense have a good game, they win this game. If Eli plays like how he NORMALLY does, they lose. That being said, I'll pick the Bucs for that reason. I don't think Eli has two of those performences in him in a row.

This is my write up for Yarrenoka! Out of kindness, I shall put it in spoiler tags for those who haven't seen it yet or don't want to be spoiled. Fantastic show. If you get a chance to see it, see it. Just great stuff. It's fucking PRIDE 2.0, a fact that they didn't even attempt to hide.

TSM TOP TEN: Light-Heavyweights
Hawkius Maximus replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I think my rankings above are still really solid...Liddell should obviously go up, Sokoudjou goes down, and a few other things, but pretty much solid. I can't even CONCEIVE not putting Lyoto in the top five after this. I'd move him up to #2 now myself. He's fucking 4-0 in UFC, he's STILL not been put in any real danger, and he just completely owned Sokodjou, then had the balls to publically challenge for the title. Lyoto has yet to show any weakness in his game other then possible pacifity...and when you're winning...what does that matter? You may not like Lyoto Machida, but his style eats fuckers alive. There is NO ONE that fights like he does. Some find it boring, as I've said, I do not, but atleast give him his do now. -
Silva looked like how he did against Yoshida in his fights with him. More patient then usual, because he respected him too much to charge in. The difference here? Liddell is a MUCH better fighter then Yoshida. Silva's patience didn't pay off because Liddell has enough skill and reach to make him pay. In the end, I think this result was the best for UFC. Liddell wins, so you can give him another high profile fight. Silva didn't get KO'd, and instead looked like the terminator with how he absolutely refused to fall. Neither man's career is destroyed from this, and both can move on. GSP completely destroyed Hughes. Last time, it was striking. This time, he out-Hughes'd Hughes. That was amazing.

I really think at some point tonight Liddell is gonna land that big counter shot. I just can't decide if it'll KO Silva or not. Silva's only been KO'd twice in his career, in his last two fights...but he was fighting an on-form Mirko Cro Cop, and then Dan Henderson who no one, let alone Silva, thought would KO him. Silva also claimed to have been deathly ill for that fight too, but that could just be BS. The safe money is on the big counter shot landing and KOing Silva, but Silva usually DOES get tagged in his fights, it just stuns him. Silva comes back from being stunned faster then just about anyone, and if Liddell doesn't KO him with that shot I could see Liddell going "...WHATTHEFUCK?!" and he either begins to overthink or mentally gives up. However, if Liddell stupidly begins to throw with Silva, Liddell's going out. Silva's a FAR better technical striker with a bigger arsenal. In my mind, Liddell only has that one shot.

Impact spoilers (airs December 20th)
Hawkius Maximus replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'm actually watching...First time I've watched an Impact in like......six months. -
"Cowboy" James Storm's theme may be the best theme in Pro-Wrestling right now. Why Storm isn't a main eventer, I can't understand.

Script for Impact on 1/3/08 (with working link)
Hawkius Maximus replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
I'm 100% certain that script was better then anything they actually taped. -
People, People. I think we can ALL agree that Tim Sylvia sucks. But he sucks in a facinating way that you almost have to appreciate it.

Atleast the Niners are playing somewhat well on offense. It's always funny about the Seahawks. About this time each year, there's this realization that there's a decent, dare I say good team in the NFC West, and then it's all "OMG A NEW THREAT~!". I don't think the Seahawk's have a shot this year though, which is odd to say as I'm a fan. But I'm also a realist. If the Seahawks SOMEHOW got by either Green Bay or Dallas in the NFC Championship, they'd still have to get by either the Colts or the Patriots at the Superbowl. That's one helluva task to ask a team to do. I think the Seahawks could play spoiler for either Green Bay or Dallas, but to then take out the Patriots? That seems almost impossible. There's also the fact that if a team figured out how to shut down the Seahawk's passing game right now, they'd be pretty screwed. We've only won the last five games because we've changed the gameplan to let Hasselbeck throw the ball way more. If we're forced to rely on the running game again, it won't be overly pretty. The formula's only working because team's get worried about the pass so we can run the ball a little and our defense is playing super hard right now.

WWE General Discussion - December 2007
Hawkius Maximus replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
It really depends on how Sapp is used...Sapp has a look, that's unquestionable, but it's not just his look. It's who he IS. He's a funny, charismatic, loveable, scary motherfucker. One second he'll be dancing around with tiny Japanese backup dancers, and the next he's killing you with a Beast Bomb. I think on Leno he explained it that it's a switch he'll flip in whatever he's doing. He's a good natured guy, a fun loving guy that people just *like*. But then he flips that switch in his head, and he becomes "The Beast" who will legitmately try to rip off your limbs and beat you to death with them. I don't really have high hopes for Sapp in WWE or TNA. TNA due to their sheer incompetience, but WWE doesn't like letting people be themselves. Take the Predator for example. Not the world's best worker, but passable with a legit background and instead of letting him be his Predator gimmick that had worked in Japan and that he had honed for years, they made him go WWE-ized worked shoot style. Didn't work at all. Terkay bashing people with chains and being a lunitatic = Fun. Terkay throwing horribly worked punches in a fear that he'd actually hurt someone = Bad. I have a feeling they'll try to make Bob Sapp into what THEY perceive Bob Sapp to be. Bob Sapp gets over because he's fucking Bob Sapp. Not someone *playing* Bob Sapp. -
WWE General Discussion - December 2007
Hawkius Maximus replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Sapp is impossible to explain to people who don't understand what he is. I mean, legitimately, he was a MMA fighter who has potential who eventually became a bad K-1 fighter. Yet somehow, he became a gigantic star in Japan through that and it wasn't just because of his size or being protected. Bob Sapp has incredible charisma...but it's a different kind of charisma then we normally see. Sapp probably won't be good at doing promos. He probably won't be good at one liners. He's not that great at being the super intimidating huge unstoppable force as Hustle has shown, and he's really not that good of a wrestler... Yet there's *SOMETHING* there that's impossible to explain. If WWE or TNA let Bob Sapp be Bob Sapp, they could have something that nothing currently rivals. I don't even know if you could promote Sapp as a heel. I don't even know if Bob Sapp can work as a face. He's just...BOB SAPP. Let him dance to the ring to Michael Jackson or Madonna and watch the people pop for him. Then have him kill people in five minutes and dance back up the ramp. Superstar. -
I like how he sounds kind of like Hamill's Joker, but not entirely. He obviously used Hamill as some form of reference, but he's given the Joker his own spin. He has it *DOWN* in that trailer.

The problem with the Heavyweight rankings, is you can't even realistically rank Randy #1. I *suppose* you could for right now, but Couture's doing exactly what Fedor's doing. If you apply the same logic that you have to be active and fighting the best, then Randy falls out of contention as well because he won't be any time soon. Outside of Randy and Fedor, you're left with the freightening possibility of having to rank Tim Sylvia as the #1 heavyweight in the world. I, for one, refuse to do that. If Nogueria beats Sylvia for the title, I guess you could say him...but then you have to consider that Fedor beat Nogueria TWICE. And would again since neither man has drastically changed. As for Fedor/Choi...I'm fine with it. It's a freakshow fight, that will draw in Japan, and likely be an easy fight for Fedor. I WOULD say that Choi has a shot...but lets face reality. Fedor beat Semmy Schilt. Semmy Schilt is five times the better fighter then Choi. This will either be a boring three round decision *due to Choi's size* or a one minute humbling. I'm also fine with Fedor's fight with Pedro Rizzo next year too. Rizzo's not a top ten HW, but he's made a return and he's on a winning streak. It's a perfectly acceptable mid-level fight for Fedor in his weight class.

Haven't seen any mention, but might as well talk about it here. Semmy Schilt re-won the K-1 WGP for the third time. He's also the only person in K-1 history to win the GP three years in a row. He actually was in danger for a short period this year, as Feitosa nearly KO'd him with a head kick, but Schilt pretty much owned him beyond that. There were two injuries against him, as Le Banner hurt his leg, and Aerts did as well...but as the fights were going, it didn't really matter. Schilt was winning both fights at that point in time. I REALLY wanted to see Badr Hari versus Schilt if only to see what Hari would pull out, but Hari wasn't in the conditioning for the tournament. Had he beaten Bonjasky, he wouldn't have made it past Aerts or likely have even made it as far as Bonjasky did. Edit: Also, if anyone knows where to see past K-1 WGP's lemme know. I've never seen any before 2006, and I'd really, really like to. -
Why the hell is Seattle starting Shaun Alexander? I don't get that. The formula right now is working (for the most part). Hasslebeck throws the ball. Maurice Morris runs short yardage, and possibly takes the big run if it's not there, but he won't force it. I'm willing to bet Alexander will try to force everything into a big run. Maybe knowing that he might be losing his starter role will make Alexander work. Dude's been coasting for about two years now. He's been injured alot, but even when he's been healthy, he hasn't played even half as good as he did in the 2005 regular season. All the while Maurice Morris has been there covering for him and trying to salvage the running game in the last two seasons. Not really fair at all.

Rogers is pretty fucking good.

I've never really gotten the hate for kickers. To me, it's probably the hardest mental game in football. More often then not, if you are out there kicking a field goal, the game is resting solely on you. Not on a combination of other people like other positions. It's just you. The only help you get is someone holds the ball, and you have a line holding the opponents back. Everything about the kick as far as succeeding is only you. On top of that, you are ONLY brought out to kick every so often. So litterally, almost everytime you kick in a game, it's a game breaking moment possibly. I would HATE to have that position. You never get praise, and if you miss, it's because you suck. To me, out of the Seattle Seahawks, I have the most respect for our kicker Josh Brown. There is no one on that team that delivers more then him. If the game is on the line, Brown almost always comes through for the team. On top of that, he's not afraid to tackle someone if he has to like against the Bears this season where he took out Hester. If the Seattle Seahawks didn't have Josh Brown, they probably wouldn't even be half as good of a team.

Watching the Patriots this season is something else. It's almost like an event. I've never seen anything like this in the time I've watched football. There's good teams. There are great teams. There are teams that get great for a period of time. Then there are these Patriots. I mean, holy fuck. Every other team there's always this feeling of anticipation in that they MAY fuck up, and the other team will get a chance. Even if it's a blow out, there's a thought that it may happen. You don't get that feeling with the Patriots. They get the ball. They score. Other team has the ball, Patriots get it back. God forbid you motivate them, and then they basically just beat you to death for the entire game. I had this feeling right after the video at the very beginning...Tom Brady...wasn't even watching it. While the Bills are having this emotional moment...Brady was just stretching. HE DIDN'T CARE. The Bills are getting hyped up to do this one for their fallen player, and the Patriots couldn't have given two fucks. Then they immediately began to systematically destroy the Bills in highly grusome fashion. They didn't give them a single inch out of sympathy, or let the Bills get any kind of victory. They beat them to death. To steal Pro-Wrestling verbage: THAT'S being a fucking heel. I *want* to see the Patriots go undefeated. I want to see it happen, so I'm rooting the bastards on. They are so uncaring, and so arrogant over who they are, and what their going to do, that you can just see it on their faces. I don't think there's a team in the league that can even stop this. The Steeler's defense might give them a pause, but they'll be eaten alive. This is *great* TV.
