I downloaded the episodes of this so far last night. I've had an interest in it, but I haven't been able to see it. This show is great. I love how the main characters are intelligent...yet very stupid and awkward. Makes for a fun combination.

I love Pushing Daisies. So very much. I get almost giddy waiting for it on Wed. It's weird.

I just beat Justice For All last night. That last case was...something else. I don't think I've been that engaged in a storyline, while confused by the intricate plot at the same time in a LONG time. Are the other games just as good as this one was? I don't think this one will have much in the way of replayability, so I might pick up the others (I forget if more then one has been released yet here) eventually.

That is true. The thing is, my 360 began acting up litterally, the moment I got it from the Seller on Ebay. I'm actually amazed I got as much as I did out of the thing by babying it. So I don't trust anything I would get from the seller. Free repair = Good repair. I WOULD give the seller negative feedback (Because, obviously, he gave me a defective "In mint condition" item) but the seller was pretty cool about things. I won't give him positive feedback, for good reason, but I think his communication deserves a neutral atleast. I'll just have to try and use that comment space as effectively as possible.

To update on what's happened with my 360... It's completely went now. I can't even boot the system now. The good thing is, Microsoft is sending me a box with prepaid shipping, so everything should work out. The seller was willing to send me a new system, but wanted me to pay the S&H...So I figured this would be the best idea, financially speaking. Plus, I doubt my 360 repaired will break.

Brock Lesnar is now OFFICIALLY in the UFC
Hawkius Maximus replied to Mik's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I like how everyone who is claiming Brock won't fair well are assuming that Brock's just gonna rely on his wrestling. Yes, it'll be the basis of his style, but the man has been training for well over a year for MMA now. In his only fight, we didn't see what he was capable of, because he didn't need to show anything. He went in there, executed a gameplan, and crushed that man. I think assuming that he won't have decent stand up, or submission defense, or at the very least rudamentary skills to exploit his strengths is naive. It IS possible that he won't, but I doubt it. Brock's intelligent. I think he'll be prepared. This is all just guesses, but that would be mine. -
Brock Lesnar is now OFFICIALLY in the UFC

Mark Kerr was also a great fighter until he ruined his career through idiotic behavior and drug abuse, so I fail to see your point. If anything, comparing Brock Lesnar to Mark Kerr in his prime is quite the compliment. -
Brock Lesnar is now OFFICIALLY in the UFC
Hawkius Maximus replied to Mik's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
If Brock can get someone down, their going to have a really hard time fighting him. The Korean guy he beat, while not very good, was a high level Judo guy (If I remember right), who should have been able to do something grappling wise. Brock took him down and just mauled him. Brock has such great wrestling, and brute power that if he grabs you, you will most likely be in trouble. I really don't know how many people are going to be able to stop his shoot either. This is a 260-ish pound monster of muscle with great technique driving right for you. Brock's also going to be like Sapp was, in that while he might not have good submission defense (at first anyway), his sheer size and power is going to make submitting him very difficult. Striking wise...Brock will have power in his punches, I think that much is for certain. It really depends on who he's been training with in regards to his form. If he can get some technique, he could easily KO people. He might KO people just by randomly swinging. I have high hopes for Brock. He really has all the talent in the world to pull this off. He just has to dedicate himself to improving in other aspects. -
I never want to see Tim Sylvia fight again. I honestly started laughing during the Vera fight at how pathetic Tim is. He is *THE* Definition of someone who is only good because of his size. Tim is not aggressive, he's really not overly strong for his size, he has no form or punching technique at all and he has seemingly no ground game beyond holding on for a restart. He has decent punching power, but that's about it. He just has ALOT of bulk to throw around. He litterally just hugged Vera until Vera got tired, and then threw a bunch of weak quick punches, that outside of cutting Vera really did no damage. His entire strategy was to lay on Vera until Vera got tired. And then he wonders why people hate him. Tim Sylvia would be RAPED by Semmy Schilt in horrible, most likely bloody fashion. Sylvia wins fights BECAUSE he's big. Not because he's talented at all. If Tim fought someone bigger, or stronger then him with modest talent, he'd be fucked. He's only ever fought anyone his size once, and that was Gan McGee...Seriously. Semmy Schilt SUBMITTED McGee. As for Brandon Vera...He basicaly fucked himself over. In round one and three, he IMMEDIATELY clinched, as if asking Sylvia to press him against the cage. Round two, he was more aggressive, and won the round. I suppose you could say the hand bothered him, but it was more like he just had an incredibly dipshit theory on how that fight would go. I really don't know what he thought would happen if he locked up with a 6'10, probably near 300 pound fighter, but that was what happened. He just got PINNED there for a long period of time. He barely circled, and you'd logically think he'd attack the legs, but he never really made the attempt to. Vera fought VERY stupid. As for the main...not much to say. Rich Franklin fought well...but Anderson Silva looks legitimately unstoppable right now. This isn't like all the other UFC bred "Unstoppable champions" like Arlovski, or even Chuck...Silva's made three defenses (Two if Lutter didn't count), and he really has just HUMBLED them. Two of them were world class top guys, and Silva really made destroying them look easy. I dunno who they still have in the division to face Silva.

I looooved SNL this week. Granted, I didn't pay attention 100% but what I saw was gold. The Digital Short was probably the best they've done. Just so incredibly whacky and insane. The "Bon Jovi" skit made me laugh. Iconoclasts was great. The two Dane Cook shorts were fantastic. The other major thing that no one's mentioned was Fred Amisen's character on Update. I dunno if they've done that "Political Comedian" thing before...but that was BRILLIANT. Just the way he made it seem like he was making a point without making any kind of point at all was fantastic.

I REALLY didn't like picking San Diego given that like...3/4ths of the people have been knocked out by their play, but there weren't any other games that seemed like they had as good of a chance. Thankfully, they won.

Bound for Glory taking place in Atlanta
Hawkius Maximus replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
Anyone know of any streams, or possible ones? -
Everyone keeps saying Randy's "Retired" again. He never once says he's retiring. He's just not going to fight for UFC. Not fighting in UFC does not equal retiring.

Calllled it. "A press release was sent out to members of the Japanese media today (not on a public scale, but specifically addressed to members of the Japanese press) for a new company called World Victory Road Inc. in Japan. The press release states that there will be a press conference on the 2nd floor of Tokyo’s Prince Hotel on the 15th (this Monday at 3 PM JST). The press release states that representatives from Don Quijote (one of PRIDE’s former sponsors and current sponsor of Kazuhiro Nakamura) and FILA are expected to be in attendance. The most interesting name listed as a guest for the press conference is Chairman Fukuda of the Japanese wrestling association. He was a figurehead that PRIDE tried to recruit before that organizaton hit troubled times. Also on the guest list is Mr. Kinoshita of the Kinoshita Group, a construction company. Interestingly enough, the cell phone number at the bottom of the private press release belongs to an employee of J-ROCK, the management group of Hidehiko Yoshida. One media source claims that a top figurehead for the new organization is former UFC-Japan promoter, Akira Sakata." WORLD VICTORY ROAD~! MMA just got ten times more interesting.

Title pretty much sums it up. I've posted about this before, but PRIDE was never going to come back under Zuffa for quite a few reasons. Zuffa claimed it was due to how PRIDE was structured, but there were fundamental issues that would have never panned out. Namely that the Japanese market is so amazingly different that Zuffa would have been lucky to get one show off. Today, they fired everyone they had in the PRIDE relaunch program by phone. PRIDE is dead. HOWEVER, now it gets interesting. Months ago, I posted about how the former PRIDE employees were milling around, possibly to work on something...Well, there's been a rumor going around on the Japanese blogs. The rumor is high ranking PRIDE officials have been trying to work with Hidehiko Yoshida with the sole purpose to relaunch PRIDE under a new name on New Years Eve this year. With this happening, many former PRIDE personel have come out and are accusing Zuffa of betraying Japan, and the PRIDE fans for how they handled this. Japanese fans are ANGRY. In essence, Zuffa lied to them about PRIDE. They have been betrayed. The basic point of this, is the shit has hit the fan. I fully expect within a few weeks, maybe a month, that a NEW MMA Promotion will be announced in Japan, ran by many of the former PRIDE executives and headlined by Hidehiko Yoshida. There is such an amazingly huge gap in MMA over there right now, that they could litterally almost just walk back into the #1 spot with Yoshida on board, who has just been sitting around waiting for PRIDE. K-1 has done litterally almost nothing to take over the gap. This should be highly interesting.

Dana spun so much bullshit into a web he finally got caught in it himself. Promising your top draw to bring in the best fighter in the world, then playing HARDBALL with said fighter while promising to sign him = Dumb. With the rise of Victory Road, this is going to be a facinatingly interesting month.

I got in contact with the seller over Ebay...Here's what I sent him: "Here is the exact sequence of events. I received the Xbox 360. I hooked it up, and attempted to play Halo. It got to the title screen, and then locked up. I rebooted the system, and was able to play for a period of time. When I was attempting to set up Live, the screen went black with no response. I rebooted and tried again only for it to go black again. This happened several times until finally, instead of going black, the screen was checkered. I waited a period of time, and restarted the console...this time I received the "red ring of death", which indicates a hardware failure. Now it gets a bit weirder. I waited a few hours more, and tried it again...this time it completely allowed me to boot. I was able to play a game for a period of time, before it froze. I waited a little longer, tried again, and since the 360 has been running flawlessly. I am baffled by this, but I have a feeling it won't last. I've downloaded updates, tried different games. Please give imput." Like I said, I am BAFFLED, because since late last night, but Xbox has run 100% flawlessly. I have a feeling that it's just being kind before it dies off, but a part of me is hoping. I DID turn the Xbox on it's side standing up after a suggestion from a friend, and since then it's worked good. So...I really don't know. I DO know I'm getting really fucking attached to this goddamn machine though. It's so AWESOME.

I've honestly watched Sonic's intro video a bunch of times. It never is NOT awesome. Sonic looks like he's going to be a killer. It looks like a lot of his attacks have high priority, knockback, and he has good comboing ability due to his speed. He will be *FUN* to play as.
-
....I must own this game. ...I honestly expected it...but seeing it...is something so very different.
-
I got it through Paypal. I'm going to give the seller until tomorrow morning to get back to me...I've sent him two messages telling the seller to contact me effective immediately. If I don't hear back, bad feedback, and I'll go through whatever methods I have to.
-
Normally I wouldn't bump a thread but... I got my 360...and four hours later... RED RING OF DEATH Since I got this off Ebay, supposidely in "mint condition" I have a feeling I may be FUUUUUUUCKED

I survive again! Vince Young NEARLY knocked me out with his three ints, but by god I'm still in this thing~! w00t and whatnot.

...Seriously, Seattle's not even gonna score. That's just...sad. They didn't even get a FIELDGOAL in this game.

This Steelers/Seahawks game is just a slow, prolonged, brutal, rape.

Cena Injured Tonight (Out 6-12 Months)
Hawkius Maximus replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in The WWE Folder
...I'm not even going to bother. You can't even spell half correctly. I'll sum up so you can understand. Shit happens. Plans change. Hunter/Kennedy was the plan for WM. Not likely to happen now because Kennedy is a fucking moron. Cena's out. Orton/Hunter is the logical WM main event now, but Hunter isn't going to start that feud until he can win it. He has shown NO interest in doing anything but putting himself over since he came back. Need I remind you of the week where he buried FIVE PEOPLE IN ONE SEGMENT? So I ask you, oh so logical one, who the FUCK is Orton going to feud with until WM time? Anyone? ANYONE AT ALL? Lemme put it this way: THERE ARE NO OTHER PEOPLE. Lashley isn't even gonna be back UNTIL around RR time, if not later. Cena's out till AFTER Wrestlemania. Jericho's their only choice, and he may not win it on Sunday, but I can pretty much fucking guarentee he's walking straight into a main event program.
