    PS2 Game Reccomendations

Are the Burnout games worth a look? I like the idea of utter destruction as I race.

    PS2 Game Reccomendations

I've thought about Dark Alliance. I heard it got great reviews, but never heard anything from anyone about it themselves. And I just bought X-Men Legends for the GC...Somewhat fun thus far.

    PS2 Game Reccomendations

I'd still play TM2 if I still had it. Right now, this is what I'm thinking of getting: K-1 Pride SDVRaw2k6 VF4:Evo Katamari Final Fantasy X (...It atleast has a novel level up system, right?) TM:B and fuck it, for ten bucks I'll give Rygar a whirl, and for twenty Kingdom Hearts Any other major suggestions?

    PS2 Game Reccomendations

I had been thinking of TM:B. TM2 is one of my favorite games ever, but I dunno how Black stacks up compared to that one. I've been wanting to hit the video store and rent a few games to test run them...but I aint made it that far yet.

    Do You Still Complete Games?

I don't like completing a game. If I beat a game, and happen to unlock everything in said game/..I get a complete feeling of "...well...what now?" and I almost never go back to said game, no matter how fun it is. So...I tend to get pretty far, but leave one little thing locked, or the end of an RPG unbeaten, so I have some justification for someday rebooting the damned thing

Speaking of which, is the second Legaia game for the PS2 ANY good? I hadn't even ever heard about it until I saw it at Gamestop's online store. Loved the first, but who knows about this one.

    PS2 Game Reccomendations

I shall add Katamari to the list...I was actually intending on getting one, but spaced it. It's not so much that I dislike traditional RPG's, it's just after awhile they lose my interest. The only RPG's I've actually ever finished had something different about them. Legend of Legaia had it's Kung-Fu system, Star Ocean II had a free range system, and Crono Trigger had a excelent plot, just to name a few. Most traditional RPg's follow the "Attack" "Buy" "level up" "Save the world" plot too closely for me.

    What was worse?

Eh...For me, as a WCW mark, I'd say 2000 was better. While the first six months or so of the year was GODAWFUL, and easily one of the worst periods in wrestling history, WCW ended their run with some of the best stuff in the promotion. You have Steiner finally get a god push, the Cruiserweight division was rebuilt with Chavo, Kidman, Rey & Helms all maineventing, and decent mid-cards. I loved the final six months of WCW, with Steiner forming the "Gang of Seven" or whatever, and having him just run through all the faces in the promotion, until Booker returned to a megapop to fight him. It's really sad that they put on such good stuff right before they keeled over.

Huge list of $10 clearance games at Toys R Us

I haaaate these deals, they never extend to online. I live in HONESTLY, the end of the fucking world it feels like. I have to drive a good hour to get to any type of store that sells games, or decent things..and another hour or two to get anywhere close to a fucking Walmart, or Toysrus, any real good store. Suuuucks. Or if they do have it online...I never can find what I want!

    NFL Week XVI

Football until the last two seasons has always been a "Oh, it's on? I'll watch" type thing, this season I've watched every single game I could find on the TV...but GODDAMN if I'm excited for Colts/Seahawks. #1 record v.s. #2, with homefield advantage riding on Seahawk's win. And yes, I know I sound like a Seattle mark.

    Bas Rutten quits PFC

annnnd my desire to pay 30 bucks has tapered off. Bas made even the most shitty of the shows I've gotten good. How can you not like someone that would scream out "LIVERKICK!" every so often? I dunno how PRIDE could even consider losing Bas. For gods sake, the man made that Perry dude halfway listenable.

    NFL Week XV

Heres what I don't get, and I fully admit I haven't watched football for as many years as many others have ...but why do so many people write off the Seahawks? I get that they sometimes look shakey, and they let teams get too close sometimes, but they've shown this year that unlike the last few seasons, they can recover from those situations and still win. Not to mention they can be dominate when their "on", which has happened alot more this year then the last few. I'm not saying Seattle is winning the SB, because I think the shot of that is almost zero, but it seems like so many people write off the Hawks, then the next week they have a good preformence, and everyone says their great. Personally, I'm looking forward to the Colts game. If Seattle wins the game, they tie the Colts for the best record in the entire league, and if I'm not mistaken, they clinch home field advantage for the playoffs. And if Colts actually play, it could be a really, really good game.

    Thoughts on the Following Fighters

Mark Coleman: Sorta weird. Coleman went from an incredibly over-powering dominate force in MMA, to a laughing stock, back to a force, and to...what-ever he is now. Coleman pioneered the style of Ground & Pound, but never overcame all his flaws as a fighter. His cardio never really improved, he never got significantly better at standing, and he never significantly improved his submissions. With MMA changing so much around him, he's gotten passed by. Atleast he's not Randleman, though. Frank Shamrock: Frank's a weird one for me. I think it's undeniable that Frank was exceptionally good at fighting, and could have went down as one of the best ever...but I'm of the thinking that he left way before he could prove it, and he's never taken any money fights in PRIDE either. Frank reminds me of Royce now, he'd only fight if the promotion gave him everything he wanted, and thats not how you prove you're a best ever. Pat Miletich: One of my least liked fighters ever. Every Pat fight I saw bored me to fucking tears. It's not because he was bad, which we all know he wasn't...but because he was BORING. I can't say he's the most boring fighter in "modern" MMA to be successful...but...from what I've seen? He's pretty fuckin up there. Andrei Arlovski: From what I've seen of Arlovski, and his recent record, I'd have to say Andrei is an elite in MMA. I can't safely say he'd beat PRIDE's top three(Mirko would be the easiest, and you can't ever say anything about Fedor losing), I think he'd give all three a solid fight. If I were UFC, I'd promote the fucking ungodlyshit out of Arlovski, like Mike Tyson was promoted. Just feed him whoever every two months or so, and let him maul people. Insta money, way better then what their doing with him right now...aka, nothing. Chuck Liddell: Liddell is weird for me. He's an amazing fighter, but I still don't buy that he's the demi-god that people think he is now. He should be LHW champ for months to come though. Rich Franklin: Not much to say here. Rich will dominate the MW division for quite some time. Matt Hughes: A part of me dislikes Matt Hughes. Another part of me really likes him. The first part thinks Hughes is overrated...the other half remembers every thrashing he's given to just about everyone in his path. Probably in the top three, of P4P fighters. I don't think he'll be WW champ much longer with how that division is stacking up, but right now, he's the man.

South Park Season 9 / Drawn Together

I'd like to know if people saying drugs and Alcohol aren't diseases have any statistics or proof to back up their claims. I hated this episode of SP, for that reason alone. Having done research for term papers, and taking Psychology, I've come to find out that yes, it is a disease. Alcohol and drugs fuck with your brain, messing up your abilities hardcore, leaving long term damage to your receptors, which makes it hard to even get by everyday life. At some point, it stops being what you want to do, and what your brain is screaming at you TO do. I used to think "Oh, hey, you can just say no more!", but it does not work that way. People need help to get off that shit.

    NFL Week XIII

I've watched football for a few years off and on, and I really can't remember seeing anything like this. 42-0, jesus. Fans are pretty deathly quiet too...scary.

    Shelton Benjamin v. Trevor Murdoch

I like Shelton, alot, but...I have no problem with Murdoch beating him. Murdoch has potential in my eyes, and I've thought so since he showed up with Cade, just as a no-shit taking ass kicker type of guy. Shelton is capable of amazing things, but he DOES botch things fairly regularly. That Sunset Flip was completely messed up, and the only reason the fans didn't catch onto it and boo, was because of Murdoch's smart cover. If anything, that shows how good of a worker Murdoch is compared to all the other people WWE has brought up. A lesser worker would have stumbled back into it anyway, making it look completely and utterly stupid. Murdoch turned around and dropped an elbow. Simple, yet effective. I'm not saying Shelton sucks, but out of all the people he's jobbed to lately? Trevor is far from the worst.

    LOST

I totally agree with Edwin, and that was my basic point. Sure, it's backstory, but it felt like a COLOSSIAL waste of time in those episodes. To me, and thats to *me*, I've never actually cared for the flashbacks beyond a few. I've always enjoyed the Island stuff far more. This coming up will be Kate's what? Third? Fourth? In her last few, what the hell did we learn? If I remember right, she robbed a bank, and got her childhood sweethart killed. That was about it. WHY did she need all that when almost nothing was told about her? I could be wrong, but I really don't remember anything really happening in those episodes. I've got no problem with them doing backstory for the new characters, since I'd love to see Eko's story...but the flashbacks in every episode is starting to get a bit old with me.

    LOST

See, I greatly enjoyed everything BUT the Ana stuff, but that was most of the episode. I jsut don't like the character, or the actress a whole lot.

    LOST

My problem with saying "She's supposed to be the bad guy of the group" is...I don't buy it. I think they want us to like Ana for being such a hardass, and it just doesn't work at all. It doesn't help that she was pretty unlikable from the get go, even before all the stuff went down. One thing that I'm sorta worried about, is that they'll pair Kate & Sawyer, and Jack & Ana, which...doesn't really work for me at all. Edit: and I forgot a statement...Am I the only one sick of flashbacks? I mean, last nights was okay, due to it being a new character, but it feels like almost all the flashbacks this season other then Jack's have been absolutely worthless. Did we REALLY need second flashbacks for Michael & Hurley? I've gotten to the point, where I just tune out most of the flashbacks, and only pick up the decent info. It just feels like filler in this season to me. Having said that, I want to see what they give Eko as his story. That dude is a HOSS.

    LOST

I don't really think Locke would run after them over anyone else but Walt, but for 90% of the original season, those two bonded. I can see him trying to save him. Jack...Jack will lose his mind trying to go for the Others. Which will be fun.
  22. Hawkius Maximus

    LOST

Eh...I don't buy that Locke would ever help the Others abduct Walt. If anything, I can see him going off on a holy crusade to save the kid when he finds out. Besides Boone, Walt was the only other person on the Island Locke ever got close to, and I just can't...see him letting, or helping anyone take him. Really, they've made Locke somewhat questionable, but I really think that when shit goes down, he'll be one of the first of the Survivors to go after the others.

    LOST

I sorta agree with those who have said it. The Ana character is not very good at all IMO. I mean, I dunno if the episode was supposed to make us like her, or what, but it made me hate her even more. She's just...not fun to have on the show. Plus, she doesn't appear to have great range as an actress. That said, the non-Ana stuff (Which was like...85% of the episode) was awesome. I just wish they'd decide which way their taking the show. One episode, it seems very sci-fi-ish, then the next it's a human drama. The two sides have never really connected very well for me, and the glaring contrasts are just getting worse. A question thats bothering me, and really took me out of the season since the beginning: How the FUCK did Desmond end up on the Island? I mean, I know they gave somewhat of an explaination...but it's easily the one thing I've seen on the show that made me go "...wait...WTF? How is that coincidence POSSIBLE?!"

    Those hippie ink-refill kits...

I've done it. A few times anyway. Last time I did, not only did the cartridge get destroyed but I had black ink EVERYWHERE. I'd only say do it, if you're sure you can take the time to do it right. Rush, and things get messy.
