Well...I would think due to his dealings with Bison & Akuma, that if Ryu saw a dark portal, he would immediately think "Oh shit!". So that could be the reason why he had to go through it.

A couple days ago, I had one of those...revelation thingies. I realized that I have DSL now. I have a DC. That means I can download games~! Only...Their sorta hard to find on Bit-Torrent, and MIRC isn't working due to my goddamn intregrated firewall. But press on I did, and have managed to download a few games. Soul Caliber owns my soul. That's really all.

Has anyone figured out why Akuma ran in to save Ryu? Only logical reasonings I can come up with are: Either Ryu earned his respect, or Akuma refuses to let anyone kill Ryu who isn't him. All I got really. Beyond that, while I like Ryu & Scorpion, I'll always be a mark for Ken. If only because of his bitching SFII stage theme.

In SF storyline, didn't Ryu end up with Chun-Li? And the whole bit about him winning the tournament was made up too. From what I remember, Alex won SF3. Guile won SF2. Sakura wasn't even BORN when Ryu won SF 1 I don't think. ...God I'm a geek. Edit: Ken v.s. Raiden wasn't as good. The pacing of the two wasn't as well put together as the Scorpion/Ryu one. It felt...disjointed a bit. Still fun though.

...No...For the love of god no. Just...no. I quit watching IMPACT! back on FSN because it basicly boiled down to a squash match, Jarrett 15 minute promo, "main event" each week. It was horrendous. For the love of all that is holy, may this NOT take place.

Man, I really don't get this. People got AMPED for TNA's chance at the big time, we were all excited, we were mostly all behind them, rooting for them... So why did everyone drop the fucking hammer on them? TNA has not been bad these past three weeks, but you wouldn't know that by reading the net. What do people want TNA to BE? It certainly seems like they can't win with what their doing, so what in the world could they be doing better that is under their control? I mean...Don't you guys think you're being overly harsh for a promotion that just got national TV, just got improved production? Their TRYING to be different, and entertain us. Isn't that enough anymore? Edit: I don't so much mean here completely, but it feels like any site I goto, I'm reading something negative. I'm curious as to why that is.

...Ya know, considering the Triple Crown is three titles, I doubt we'll ever see a "Redesign"... Anyway, Brock & Choshu being in NJPW sorta makes me hopeful. NJPW's been a wasteland of poor booking, and horrible looking shows for ages now. Hopefully, with a Champion that could go down as one of the best in company history (Provided they USE Brock right...), and with more intelligent booking, they can pull stuff around. ...and yeah, I know the likihood of that happening is about zero.

I don't know if anyone else has gotten a chance to download the match, but I did last night...300+ megs, but damnit, I have DSL now. Anyway...The match wasn't overly awesome, but it was quite the spectacle. Right from the opening bell, both Chono & Fujita were obviously working the match in such a way that made Brock look like GOD. They double teamed him, they tried tactics, and nothing worked at all. Everytime he's hit them, they'd go into oversell mode that I haven't seen in Japan often. It seemed at one point Chono almsot started crying from Brock's shoulder rams. Fujita gets shit from some circles, but he bumped his ass off for Brock. The finish was actually built to. Brock went for the "Verdict" many times, but it kept getting blocked. He finally hit Fujita with it, who sold it by fucking BOUNCING like a ball before rolling to the floor, and then he murdered Chono with it, and the crowd even somewhat counted along. I think in total, Brock took like...two moves from Fujita & Chono. Brock was also in a bitching heel mode too. Even Gaijins are usual respectful of title presentations...Brock just had a pissed look, motioned them to give him his shit right NOW, and even went as far as to yank the IWGP title from their hands. Brock is going to be HUUUGE in Japan if they keep this up. When you can convince two of Japan's biggest stars to pinball for someone...You're onto something.

I've been trying to help my friend with his computer problems, but I'm completely at a loss. He can access the computer in safemode, but when he normally tries to boot the PC, it hangs, his mouse shows up unmoveable, and then the entire monitor goes black as if the PC was off. At first, I thought hardware issue, but why can he get into safemode? My thoughts are perhaps his video card is dying, but I still am not sure if he could access safemode with it dying...I'm really at a loss, anyone care to help? He says he has a nVIDIA GeFORCE 5600 video card.

You just used a gigantic overstatement to prove a point. How much did you actually PLAY TEW before you came to your conclusion? EWR's match setup was messed up, with having multiple steps for everything to set up one match. In TEW, I can set up an entire match in ONE screen. Wow, that sure takes 50 hours. I can get a 80 to 90% show out of TEW in ten minutes with upwards to FIFTEEN segments, and I'm on the low end of the scale. So don't even try "It takes forever to do a show!" because I know it doesn't. And furthermore, how did I determine why you prefer TEW? That doesn't even make any sense. I mentioned why TEW is SUPERIOR, so I fail to even comprehend what your talking about. But fine, without even mentioning the cost...give me some real reasons why EWR is better. I'd be glad to hear them, since EWR held up worse then EWD did, which I might add, is still fun.

I don't get how people can say EWR is in any way superior to TEW. Loading times weren't a major downgrade from EWR to TEW, and almost every feature from EWR was IN TEW. It's not like EWR was easy to navigate, it was cumbersome and awkward in many places. From playing the demo, it pretty much smokes all other EW made. The load times are sharp, the AI is superior, and theres many options to fuck with. Only problems is Ryland has a habit of spreading shit out more then it needs to, and just LOOKING at the Storyline editor made my brain bleed. I honestly think if you prefer EWR, it's the cost factor...which is still a pretty lame excuse.

I had heard of it, but never tried it. I've modded BG2 many a times, but never BG1. If it takes Tales of the Sword Coast, then fuck...I just got regular BG1

Has anyone here tried BG1 with the mod that makes it more of a ...BG 1.5-ish thing? New spells, new classes from BG2, and all kinds of stuff. I've never tried to, but it's supposed to be pretty fun.

I generally just get more determined to win, and most pissed when my determination leads to more failure. Perfect example was Event Match 50 in SSB:M. Stupid goddamn fucking hands. Each time I lost, I got more and more determined, and pissed to the point where if I made ONE mistake, I reloaded. Eventually I beat it, and out came the "HAHA MOTHERFUCKERS I JUST KICKED YOUR GODDAMN ASS! WHOOOOO!" And so on for about twenty minutes.

...This is just hilarious. What makes it BETTER, is according to that, it was just isolated, and stupid fuckers started taking it everywhere infecting everyone around them. Thats not Blizzard's fault, thats the player's faults for being complete morons. Go Blizzard!

This weeks episode was pretty good...One thing bothered me: Dana White's comments. That fight was FAAR, FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from the worst fucking fight I've seen. Hell, it's not even close to the worst fight UFC's had, let alone MMA. Dana White tried to sell it like it was the most godawful thing ever, and maybe to someone who HADN'T seen Royce/Shamrock 2, or Severn/Shamrock 2, or Randleman/Nakamura(For a few examples), it was...but I've seen way fuckign worse then that thing, and his shilling of it, and practically buring both fighters pissed me off. It wasn't a great fight, not even good, or okay...but worst fight he's ever seen? Bull-fucking-shit. Edit: Hell, it wasn't even the worst fight in TUF history. Koscheck/Leben SMOKES it just due to the sheer disapointment of it.

One idea that I've heard, is that New Japan could be getting Brock, in exchange for using their money and power to fight WWE over his contract. NJPW is probably the only wrestling company that could challenge WWE in a court case. I really dunno if NJPW is CAPABLE of such a long-term investment...but if that is the case, then I'd say that contract will be in a major fucking war real soon. NJPW considers Brock one of the most major signings they could ever make, and think he could be the way to break into the American market, their goal for god knows how long. If Inoki is behind this, and fully supporting it, NJPW's preparing for a war.

Yeah, you'll have to open up your PS2. It looks simple, but...I'm afraid to LOOK at a PS2 in fear of it imploding... Damn you PSX having shit fall out of you. DAAMN YOU.

I'd join in heavily in the game discussion...but like...I'm totally burned out on hearing about the game right now. My friend who I talk to every day is fucking OBSESSED over it, and worships any bit of news coming from those who do have it. That being said, the game should be quite excelent. Having seen a match myself (Downloaded) I noticed some thing I didn't exactly overly enjoy. The animation for hitting the electrified barbwire looks awkward, the crowd noises are incessently annoying...Shit like that bothers me. On the flipside, the game includes eight man tag elimination cage matches...or just one fall. With Tornado. And weapons. WAAAAAAAARRRRRGAAAAAAAMES. I'm still battling back and forth...I could afford a PS2 rather cheaply(Refurbished so it doesn't go KABOOM on me), with some games, a fliptop and FPR for about...300 dollars...but thats quite alot of cash when your fucking broke.

I've never gotten the GC or DC controller hate. I LOVED my friggin DC, and worshipped this huge ass purple mammoth I got for the system. It just felt like you were playing something special with that fucking beast. As for the GC...I great enjoy it's design. Sometimes differenciating between X and Y is a bit of a bitch, and Z is a taaaad awkward for some games, but beyond that it worked fine for me. One thing though, is trying to teach people how to play a GC controller. You say "Hit b!" and they go "...the green one?" "No. Red." then "Hit Y!" "....?" On the same token, I never enjoyed the Playstation controllers. They always felt...I dunno...weird. And small. And somewhat fragile, like a Playstation itself. I want a controller that if I fucking smashed it with a hammer, it MIGHT STILL WORK...is that so much to ask?

After watching the promotional video on it...I became less bitter. At first, I really did feel betrayed by Nintendo, and what I preceived as their insanity, but as soon as I saw that dude "playing" Zelda by slashing a sword...I was sold. Ideally, this could be the single biggest, and best thing ever done...but knowing how the world works, and evolution in design is frowned upon by gamers, and in life in general, the system could bomb so utterly magnificently. We always want things to stay the same, with THIS thing, that isn't possible. Who knows, we can't say it'll suck, or it'll work yet. I had a knee-jeark reaction, but I'm somewhat optimistic now about it.

I can't even sum this up in words. The one two punch of TNA's monumental stupidity, and Nintendo's insanity is like...too much for me. I've always defended the N64 and the GC. I loved them...but this. This is too much for me. Someone, all of them, have lost their fucking minds, and I'm done going along for the ride. Time to finally bite the fucking bullet and buy a PS2, and hock off this GC.
