Ah, as a mark for Bill Watts' WCW I cannot let that injustice go. The over the top rope rule had long been an NWA/WCW rule, which was finally dropped sometime in 1996 or '97, Watts just banned (in a horrible mistake considering their roster) moves off the top. I did like the idea of keeping kneedrops to the head banned though. I think the over-the-top rope rule ended officially on the first (or one of the first) episodes of Thunder. Whatever year that was. I can see Watts' logic as far as banning moves off the top (it creates cheap heat with heels cheating), but given the roster he inherited, which included Pillman and Liger it was a stupid move. I enjoyed what I read of HD this week. Alf having the map of the Fairgrounds was awesome and I really liked the brawl. The Zack and SG feud with GPX and CWM and Tony is shaping up nicely. Probably because I'm not writing any of it.
