I assume you were responding to my post with that. Here is what I said: I stand by that, there is no way that HHH will stay out of the ME/World Title scene for more than 6 months. He lasted two months in 2004, Was in I believe every ME in 2003 and most in 2002 (Save JD and maybe one more). He will not stay out of the picture for very long, so i think the only way to get anybody over is to have him leave for a little while with an injury angle and since the only guys they'll push to the ME spot have to go through Evolution with HHH I think they should reform the group with 2 or 3 new members. I'm trying to look at this as realistically as possible, given how sick and tired I am of HHH monopolizing Raw.
-
Why? Dustin vs. Monty for 15 minutes?
-
I think you responded to the wrong thread. Unless you are suggesting that JJ now be called "Jeff "Tatanka's Bloody Asshole" Jarrett.

I'd so an injury angle at Backlash and keep him off TV until Summerslam. While he's gone there should be no mention of him directly, but I would have little backstage clips of some of the heels (Edge, Shelton [assuming he's turning], Christian, etc...) talking to someone on their cell phones. Have HHH return the night after Summerslam with a new version of Evolution with the story being that he set it up over the phone while was injured. Then he and Evolution can go after Big Dave and the title. Either that or I would have him be so pissed about losing to Batista two straight that he would start losing his concentration and/or making mistakes during matches causing him to lose. After a couple of months of this I would have him reform Evolution to help him get his head straight and go after the title. I think I laid out two resonable storylines, that could and maybe should happen. I know that he won't just start jobbing or just disapear after losing to Batista for no reason. I think the first scenario would be the best of both worlds for everyone. HHH is off TV for a while and then comes back fresh and heathly for a run at the title. There is no way to keep him away from the strap or the ME for any longer.

Hogan's "Ch gonna do?" response was so bad it was good. I think Taker said something like "if you sleep with your sister say "what" now." Angle always played to it by telling people to stop saying it. The sad part is that the thing got so old so fast that Austin had to pander to the crowd to get them to say it and that every now and again a crowd will do the chant during some heel promos. Austin really over did it with that shit. Every promo he did for a long time was encouraging the phrase to get overexposed. It was funny for a short time though. Austin's pre-Royal Rumble 2002 promo was awesome and had Cole breaking up.

Leave everything the same but switch World Champion and WWE Champion, because the World Title is more prestigous at this point.

Some interesting Survivor Series 1997 stuff
Some Guy replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Vince didn't want to do it at MSG, because it would have cost something like $50,000, because of the fees involved in taping something at MSG. So Vince was willing to spend $50K on a stupid angle where Nash hit HBK with a chair so Shawn could say that he was going to "kick his 7' ass" but not on a major title change? I suppose we can't count Nash/Backlund whichw as taped and later aired and took place at MSG. I just don't see this as a true statement. I've been making comps of 97 Raws and just got through the "Sunny Days" comment and the Raw where HBK and Bret fought. In commmentary Vince said that both men were sent home for "unprofessional behavior earlier in the night." Bret was not on the next Raw either. So, I think that Bret was punished for beating up Shawn. I'm a huge fan of HBK and defend him when I think he's right but I think that Bret had every right to smack him around and every right to be pissed off that he got punished for it and Vince had to beg for Shawn to come back. That said, I think that Bret should have done the job for Shawn in Montreal. He was leaving (I know it wasn't his choice) and should have done the job. I understand why he refused to and empathize with him but he should have lost. HTQ, what's the real reason that Vince wanted to get rid of Bret? I don't buy the "financial peril" line. Was he just trying to push the old guard out? If I were Vince I would have kept Bret around, he showed in 97 that he was willing to show a fair amount of "Attitude" despite railing against it in promos and he was willing and very able to make stars. I read a recent interview with Austin where he put Bret over big and he should. Without Bret, Austin is not what he is today. It took WM 13 for him to really start getting over and Bret's willingness to let Austin get over on him on virtually every Raw there after. Bret lost to Austin by DQ at IYH Revenge of the Taker by DQ and then let Austin kick the shit out of him the next night, including the infamous Ambulance beatdown. Bret after having knee surgery came back the next week on Raw and within a week or two let Austin beat him up while he was in a wheelchair. He made Austin by giving him legit credibility as a tough motherfucker who could kick anybody's ass. -
useless moron Scott Keith's girlfriend XXXPosed

Whatever, fat girls need loving too. I hope SK and his portly partner are happy. -
Open the site up for non-members to view. I don't feel like signing up for something that might suck.

They changed his gimmick quite a bit by that time. When he debuted he an even more flamboyant version of Little Richard and one would have to think that he was a little light in the loafers. By 96 he was pretty much the same character that he played in WWF. WCW started to "straighten" him out in 93-94 after he turned face.

I'll write a quick promo to accept CWM's challenge. EDIT: Who is the backstage interviewer?
-
This the first entire HD I've read in a long time and I really enjoyed. I thought Axel's promo was great and liked the match with Tony. Zack and I vs. Hell's Hitmen was quite good. Plus I got the pin so it was even better. CWM's deal was cool and I think we're going to have a good feud. I marked for PK's return.

I agree with whoever said that it should be done the day after Backlash and promoted at least two weeks in advance. I would not have any trading preiod after, last year they screwed the fans when they had the draft and then negated the biggest part by having HHH get traded back to Raw. If they want to do a trading period it should be around Survivor series. Then they could have roster movement twice a year. As far as roster movement: To SD!: HHH Jericho Flair To Raw: JBL Show Eddy Add a few mid carders and both shows have fresh feuds on top.
-
That would work well. I don't think he needs a manager, he just needs a consistant push with some big wins. I've been on the Shelton bandwagon for a while now and think he could be a very big star for WWE with some minor tweaking to his look and work. I'd like to see him change his ring attire a little to get further away from TWGTT look and do a little bit more amateur style mat work (quick take downs and such). The crowd generally likes that type of stuff and he is obviously good at it.

How does WWE choose what type of number to use..
Some Guy replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
My avatar will tell which ones used roman numerals and which didn't. I seem to remember reading sometime last year that they decided to stop using the Roman Numerals, but if they're promoting 22 as "XXII" then what I read was wrong or they changed there mind. I like the Roman Numerals better than just numbers. It looks better and gives the show title a cooler feel. -
Dreamer beating Raven to end the feud. Douglas throwing down the NWA title. RVD's return at the last PPV. Lawler and Cornette in the Arena. Pretty much the entire "Path of Rage" push for Taz. Sabu returning to face off with Taz. Well that's 6, sue me.
-
Not really. I suppose you and I have a different interpretation of what "good" is. Neither RVD nor Sabu are anything close to good workers. Sabu is all about sloppy high flying spots with a half assed camel clutch mixed in. RVD is all kicks and flying stuff. Neither has any idea of psychology and neither of them sell through out the match. The Harcore Heaven match was a typical sloppy Sabu/RVD match that totally exposed both men. If you are going to have a match in a broken ring, you should adjust the match to suit it. They didn't, they just went out and had the same match they would have done in ideal conditions in the broken ring causing all type of goofy spots and Sabu falling off the top rope. I think Sabu worked the leg a little before slapping on a camel clutch (make sense, right?). The reason they went out and did the match that way of because neither guy is capable of actually wrestling. A series of choreographed spots that don't go anywhere followed by a bunch of retards clapping, may be cool looking but it is not wrestling. Name me one RVD/Sabu match that is good. Name one that has any semblance of pschology or selling. Sabu breaking his jaw, taping it up, and showing pain from that is not selling.

Fantasy WWE vs. TNA Matches You'd Like To See
Some Guy replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
I can see it now. A 40 minute snoozefest that sees HHH kicking out of 17 Strokes and 49 guitar shots, Jarrett kicking out of the Pedigree before the entire roster of both companies run in for a non-finish and 6 guys inexplicably turn heel. -
I only had time to read the match I was in, that is one long fucking show. Whoever wrote the match (I assume Zack because of the writing style) did a great job. I'll read the rest of the show and comment on it later.

He's doing an interview with PWTorch.com. He knows his audience for the interview is the IWC so he's going to say what he thinks we want to hear. Too, bad that most of us know that he never booked the way he's talking now. When does the second part come out? I do enjoy reading this type of shit despite what it sure to come next is going to be lies and distortions.
-
I'll do something. Zack shoot me a PM to let me know what's happening at AM so I can think something up based on the fall out. I updated my character specs, not much has changed so whoever is writing it shouldn't have too many problems.
-
Taylor was also the second referee for a Flair/Rude match at either Fall Brawl 93 or Halloween Havoc 93, I think it was the latter.

Nothing but four-five million viewers every Monday and putting the network on the map. I agree that Viacom overpaid for what they got but they did get a fair amount out of it. As far as other shows not benifiting from Raw: Joe Schmo and Ultimate Fighter (the latter especially) say hello. If it weren't for Raw UFC would be getting TNA like numbers, with Raw leading into it they are doing consistant 1.7s and last week they hit 2.0. If Spike didn't think that Raw brought anything to their other shows they wouldn't debut them after it. Monday is the only night that people actually watch that network and in any meaningful numbers. Were they to pick up TNA, they could probably get 1.0s out of it, which is what they get (or better) for the rest of their non-Raw shows. Mike, I think you can most certainly blame WWE for ruining Heat. Once SD! came on fulltime, Heat became an afterthought recap program and was briefly a quasi-shoot interview show from WWF New York. I somehow doubt that MTV encouraged WWE to go that route with the show. When Heat was live and ran first run matches with the tip talent they drew mid 3s on USA, which was better than half the rating that Raw was getting at the time. Heat draws considerably less than half of the Raw rating now and that's because they put out a shitty show that they don't advertise. If WWE used the show as a vehicle to move major angles along and told people about then people would watch. WWE doesn't care, so the fans don't care.
