My projection of next year's rotation is completely home grown, Wang, Pettitte, Hughes, Chamberlain, and Kennedy. But I might bet that Mussina gets the #5 spot if they can't somehow get rid of him.

What everyone, especially in the greater NY area has to realize, is that the Yankees of the mid-late 1990's/begining of the 2000's were the perfect storm. Every move was the right move, every bounce was the lucky bounce. Those teams were the exception and not the rule, as we have seen since 2000 every year has yielded a different champion. Teams like that don't just come along every few years, they are once in a generation. Everyone needs to take a step back and realize this. I don't even bother talking baseball with anyone I know outside of my dad because everyone refuses to understand the concept that the postseason is a complete crapshoot.

The only top prospect I can remember them dealing in the recent past was Brandon Claussen for Aaron Boone in 2003. They got Martinez/Nelson for Sterling Hitchcock/Russ Davis, David Justice for Westbrook/Ledee, and Chuck Knoblauch for Christian Guzman and Eric Milton.

Garret Anderson sucks against everybody (these days) except the Yankees. Chone Figgins absolutely drives them crazy. They can't keep him off the basepaths, and then he rips shit up. Howie Kendrick is something like 22-45 career against the Yanks.

And handled them in the Division Series in 2002 and 2005.

Brian Bruney was recalled from SWB. Too bad he sucks and can't throw strikes. I don't think he learned how in the last week or so. Mientkiewicz is also on the comback trail. I hate Mientkiewicz. He's bad at baseball too.

Steve Austin's gaff in the 1999 Royal Rumble may be the worst of all time. He and Vince are the last two, and are duking it out in the ring. So the Rock decides to saunter on out from the back, get on the apron, and Austin immediately goes after him, and WHOOPS, Vince dumps Austin out. For all the time he was built up as a sly guy who always seemed to be able to see things coming and 1-up on the ol' boss, he really fucked up big time. It was totally out of character.

Can anybody tell me how to download the ESPN radio podcasts? All I can do on this site is stream them.

Being a Yankee fan, I really can't have anything to complain about. But the fuckin' Angels frustrate the shit outta me.
