I'm uber-glad that Runaways placed, as I'm a huge fan of the series... Seriously, it's my favorite comic right now.

Got bored and wanted to try something... I really like it... Comments?

IIRC, the only title match they ever aired on FSN was against Monty, which was a pretty good match. Jarrett's other matches during the era were treated as total squashes, and didn't even get the "can the kid do it" treatment from Tenay. Mostly during those matches, Tenay just talked about Jarrett's angle for the next PPV. Jarrett fought Hector Garza for the WHC after Turning Point and it turned out to be a really good match that totally built Garza up... And then he went and got himself arrested and lost his visa. Oh well...

Personally, I still say 90 minutes would be best. It wrecks advertising a bit, but at least you're not dragging things too much with 2 hours. TNA prides itself on being fast-paced... I think that pace could be lost over the course of 2 hours.

I haven't picked a side yet... but I can tell you all one thing...

I love JBL... and honestly, I could see him being a fair and impartial GM, since everyone on RAW would be beneath THE WRESTLING GAWD! So, why would he screw anyone?

It got Alex Shelley over with the camera gimmick. I'm sure that will make up for the X-Division being made to look like a joke and Nash 'putting over' Sabin/Dutt at the end. AJ, Daniels, Joe were the only good guys in the X-Division to begin with and they moved on. As for the current group of wrestlers in the X-Division I can see Sabin, Senshi, Lethal, Williams taking the top spots but come on Sonjay is a joke comedy act like Sharkboy who really should'nt be involved in anything other than tag matches or gauntlets. No Alex Shelley in your list? FOR SHAME!! FOR SHAME!!!! Seriously, Shelley will be the one to beat Joe.

if it's available in stores, go with Sacrifice 2005. It was a solid, solid card from top to bottom, with a fantastic Joe/Styles match.

Here's a weird thought... maybe someone from WWE is posting all of these spoilers in different places as to confuse the audience and give SmackDown that live feeling? And who's the say that each one of these spoilers doesn't have some bit of the actual show mixed in? Like... the Benoit/Henry thing could be legit, but the rest of the spoilers are garbage... Am I giving WWE too much credit?

Does this count for referencing the 90s cartoon? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hK33lODnbiE

The Randy Orton song is a fake... That's Killswitch Engage alright, but that's not The Fire Burns, but instead is End of Heartache from the Resident Evil: Apocalypse OST.

Correction: The Gathering turned on Raven at the last live show of 2003, which was on December 17th. The shows on the 24th and 31st were Best of the X-Division and Best of the Main Eventers specials. And yeah, it does feel like fucking forever ago. I kinda miss the Asylum...
-
I wouldn't say it was right away, as I remember a good 2-3 months between Vamp's first appearance and when The Gathering turned on Raven inside THE CAGE at the last show of '03 (which is a match I've always wanted to see again too). Damn Laz, we're fucking sad knowing all this shit.

I expect that if Sabu stays in TNA, we'll see a rematch when he's 100% that will be what this match was supposed to be... That's if he stays, which I really hope he does as he's a good fit in the company.

To be fair, the only person left from the original Team Canada is Petey Williams, though Johnny Devine is on injured reserve. Eric Young and Bobby Roode were brought in for teh World X-Cup A-1 was brought in as a replacement for Devine in... um... early 2005 I wanna say.

Carlito's current theme was on ThemeAddict from... last year?

Trust me as I say from experience that while Strike Raid helped against Sephy, it was by no means the only thing to beat him... You really had to have everything to beat him, including the full levels for Strike Raid, Sonic Blade (which is key), and Ars Arcanium... to top it all off, you also needed to have Superglide and probably the Ultima... as well as Aeroaga. At that point... you've got about a 70% chance of beating him if you know all his attack patterns.

Unless I heard wrong, Larry Z said that the X-Division Title would be on the line no matter if Joe or Daniels won.
-
The problem with that idea is that you're forced into having a draw or some other non-finish. Danielson, as ROH Champion, isn't about to lose on a PPV, and Daniels isn't about to lose a non-title match to someone who isn't sticking around. And even if Danielson did come in to TNA for a while, he isn't going to do jobs while still ROH Champion. I'm completely aware of that, I'm just saying Dragon would be the closest realistic name to matching Liger to the market they were looking to attract. You know, my scenario assumes Daniels is X-Division Champion going into the PPV. If he isn't, and he very well might not be, then they could have Daniels vs. Danielson and build to a rematch if Danielson is able to come into TNA for a run. The alternate scenario assumes that Joe would be champion defending against Sabu... it ain't happening.

An idea for the end of Joe's undefeated streak...
Blade2kxx replied to gWIL's topic in TNA Wrestling
And while you're at that, just bury the X Division while you're at it. It ain't gonna happen. Unlike the IC title situation, the X and WHC are treated as equal in TNA, or are supposed to be at least. -
I wonder if this is gonna be like the Flair set where Hogan sets up each match with promos and such?

Now that we have a pirate in WWE, all we need is to get a ninja in there and we'll finally solve the Pirates vs. Ninjas debate. Though, if they're going against BURCHHHILLLL, it won't matter.

I'm shocked nobody has mentioned Jimmy Hart for the managers DVD... he's the first person I thought of when I saw it.
