John Cena having major neck problems
Blade2kxx replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Coming to theaters in 2009... The Marine 2: MARINES ON A PLANE. "They've got my wife... ON A PLANE!" Co-starring 50-Cent! "Don't worry John, I'll help you get your wife back... or die trying." -
Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics are on Friday.

GOD DAMN IT, THAT WAS NEXT.

Same 'ere. I own that movie and ain't ashamed either. Just a really interesting take on the whole idea... Also, I can't be the only one that thought the human love-interest who is so boring I forgot her name was a complete waste of screen-time though. Right?
-
Umm... Nextwave please.

You're completely fucking insane. Batman and Robin was quite possibly the single worst comic book adaptation of all time. Superman IV, Elektra, and Catwoman say hello. B&R is God Awful, but there are a couple moments where it ventures into So Bad it's Good territory. Those three previously mentioned... nope. Which catagory does Supergirl fall into? Supergirl? Meh. Seriously, it's a meh movie. It's plainfully average-to-bad, but it's still much, much, much, much better than Superman IV. I hold that film as the WORST comic movie of all time.

Yeah, The Question would be awesome... I don't even mind the new one, as 52 was an awesome book. -
Discussion: Possible DC Universe Movies
Blade2kxx replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in Television & Film
Superman Returns... me and a friend at work used to argue this movie a couple times a week. He believed, like alot of people do, that it should have been a reboot... Yeah, no, not working for me. Fact is, Superman: The Movie is probably THE best Superman origin story that could possibly be filmed, and even with the bad effects and laughable Lex, it's still a grandiose, reverent take on the character. Superman II... not as much, but it's still a great great film. My issue with doing a reboot is simple... Why bother? Superman I was SO good that any reboot on the character would have to tell the origin again, or do the movie in medias res like the original Batman. And, by telling the origin again, it's going to bring about an unfavorable comparison to the original, and remember, people's memories make movies out to be ALOT better than they really are. Routh was fine for the role... Maybe a little too lanky, but that CAN be fixed. I still don't like Bosworth as Lois, especially since, hey... There's Zooey Deschenel and MY GOD SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE MARGOT KIDDER. Give Singer another chance with The Man of Steel (Which, after TDK's massive performance, they may drop Superman out of the title just to make it fit in better). I still like Returns as, while it WAS angsty, it kept the same feeling I got from Superman I and II. Also... I thought that The Rock was going to play BLACK ADAM, not Captain Marvel. -
Serenity - 2005 - Whedon Screw it, I'm a fanboy.

This is too easy for booking... which makes me suspicious of it all. Still am going with the La Familia ruse on The H's. I had a thought earlier that Edge and Vickie would plant a tape showing Edge in the shower with Victoria... And then after screwing The H's out of the belt at the GAB, you see the 'director's cut' of the tape that shows Vickie getting into the shower with them both. That would probably make Edge to be too awesome though.

Y'know what... I'll probably get this if it's EVERY HIAC. That's a set of almost all good matches... sure they're mostly out there already, but still, I don't have the majority of them, so it's good.

The Princess Bride - Reiner - 1987 It's a magical movie that I could watch over and over again... it's quite quotable, and the performances can't help but make you smile. It's probably Cary Elwes' best performance if you ask me.
-
Aww fuck yes... Restored Blu-Ray please?
-
Aww hell, I was gonna grab that one!

Am I the ONLY person that thinks this is all some master plan by La Familia to look weak in front of HHH so he lets his guard down just a little bit? It's classic southern style 4 Horsemen booking we're seeing. Have the heel stable look like they're falling apart, the face champion wedges himself in to try and create more dissention in the ranks, and the stable closes in on him, leaving the heel as the champ once more. I can't see them breaking up the Edge-Vicki story this soon, especially when they're getting MASSIVE heat out of it.

That's not true, but you'd have to be creative about how to approach Carnage in a PG-13 film. Show the aftermath of his destruction, or do cut-aways to other people's reactions as he does his work. Carnage presumably ripping someone in half and seeing blood fly onto a person's face from it would be effective enough... But yeah, I'd prefer a Rated-R carnage movie, but it ain't gonna happen.

... I'm glad I went with logic. I just hope I get another crack at what I almost went with. The Incredibles - 2004 - Brad Bird Simply put, it's probably Pixar's best film, though, choosing between Pixar films is like choosing between flavors of chocolate. The ripe characterization is a norm for the company, as well as jaw-dropping visuals. What seperates and makes this film Incredible, to use a bad pun, is both the action, which is as good as any superhero film I've ever seen, and the joy that the movie brings. When Dash runs across water, you're laughing, cheering, and ready for more...

I've had a pretty decent idea for Spider-Man 4 since the 3rd one came out, the issue is that it's a big lead up to an entire new trilogy. Main villains in 4 were Lizard and Kraven, like multiple people have suggested, but there's alot of set-up and shit for Carnage in 5.

DAMNIT! TOOK one OF MY PICKs. Oh well... The Shawshank Redemption What can I possibly say about this film that hasn't been said before. Amazing adaptation, probably the best of a King novel. The acting on the part of Freeman is amazing, as always with him, and the the film just flies by. You never notice the time passing, just how much you identify with the two men in prison. One of my all-time favorite films by far. (Number 2 on my personal list actually.)

... 17 is a weird number if you ask me. Maybe 18?
-
OK, so lemme get this straight. The World Heavyweight Championship & WWE Championships will be fought between a RAW and SD guy each. The ECW Championship will be between a RAW guy (the champ), and an SD and ECW guy. The US Championship is between two ECW guys. The WWE Tag Team Championship is now between 4 guys all on ECW. Yeah... I hate them doing the draft so close to NoC. It's MADNESS!

It's been an odd couple of days, sorry guys! Batman Begins By far and away the greatest superhero film ever made, and one of the best in my opinion. Excellent cast, great director, and an interesting look at how Batman becomes Batman. Can't ask for a greater film until Dark Knight comes out.

I can't believe they did this shit again. Also, I can't see HHH staying on SD. Really, really, really cannot see it. Especially with Taker around.
-
SDs going to MNTV in September which is in much fewer homes than even the CW. Yeah... generally, a new network means that they'd want something big for it? Instead, they're just going to steal all the worthwhile talent off of it and turn it into another ECW? How's that work?
