  1. I saw this this afternoon and I was never a fan of Star Trek, and I liked it. It was well written (with a decent amount of cheese tossed in as well), the effects were awesome, it had decent action, and the way the story pieced together with each cast member joining the crew was solid.

  2. I stayed right until the movie stopped rolling. Till the end of the credits and everything. There was no extra scene on the print that I saw. Unless the theater just didn't run it, cause I knew there was an extra scene, so I waited till they stopped the projector and turned the lights on. Shitty.

  3. The ending that I saw after the credits wasn't either of those.

It was Striker walking down the highway and he gets approached by a military vehicle and the soldier that pulls him over says they would like to question him about killing the admiral (or whatever higher ranking official he stabbed right before he activated "Deadpool")

  4. I liked Zombie's original re-make/re-boot, so I'm gonna hold judgment till I actually see the movie. I just get irritated that every time a new piece of media about any movie is released online, there is a barrage of how shitty the movie will be without even giving it a chance. And I'm not just talking about Zombie stuff. I can't remember the last time I saw a trailer or something online and never saw 20 people shitting on it.

  5. Confirmed: Jackie Earle Haley is Freddy Krueger!

    Source:Variety

    April 4, 2009

Our sources told us that it was tricky locking him down, but Jackie Earle Haley - recently seen as Rorschach in Zack Snyder's Watchmen - is officially on board as Freddy Krueger in Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Platinum Dunes' Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing with John Rickard co-producing. Samuel Bayer will direct from Wesley Strick's script, with lensing set to begin next month in Chicago.

Haley is the first cast member to sign up for this update of the milestone Wes Craven film. As we told you this afternoon, Kyle Gallner is not far behind. Creating Haley/Krueger's make-up is Andrew Clement - more details on him in this previous news item.

A Nightmare on Elm Street opens in theaters on April 16, 2010.

  6. I think people get that impression when they first go looking for Japanese wrestling, and they've heard so much about how Misawa/Kawada/Kobashi are so great, so they go watch one of those matches, and they see someone get dropped on their head 15 times in a row, get straight back up after every move, and then go down for the count via an elbow smash.

I mean, even as a fan of Japanese wrestling, you have to admit that the psychology used over there (at least sometimes) is way different then what goes on here. Thus, I can see how people would wonder where the psychology is, cuz it's not where they normally look for it.

You completely hit the nail on the head. I have seen a decent amount, and a lot of them were the kinds of matches that you had mentioned. I even thought Joe/Kobashi was absolutely ridiculous. Not to say I don't see how some people could enjoy it, it's just that it wasn't my thing.

I however did enjoy what I saw of the series of matches between Tiger Mask and Dynamite.

  7. No matter how much logic get put into these edits, the wrestlers still seem to be going back and forth randomly doing moves to each other w/ little to no rhyme or reason.

    Just like real Japanese wrestling.

Well that statement leads me to believe you haven't seen much Japanese wrestling.

I've seen my fair share of Japanese wrestling and more often then not I end up with the impression that it's 2 or more guys beating the living piss out of each other, stiff shots, head drops etc.... and I just couldn't get into it.

  11. Same as title.

I lost all my MP3s due to a hard drive dying, and they are still on my Ipod. I would like to update my ipod with some new songs, but the hard drive is no longer housing all the songs I had previously.

I was wondering if there is any way I could get the songs off the Ipod to back them up again so I don't lose them.

  12. Seeing Ravage in the trailer makes me happy because when Ravage is around - Soundwave is around.

Here's hoping. I wonder how they're going to explain the whole matter displacement thing so a giant robot could turn into a radio/cassette tape player?

We still need Rumble, complete with Bronx (or whatever it was) accent, to really get shit going.

They don't need to explain it, cause from what I've read elsewhere on the net, Soundwave is now some type of jet and not a cassette player. Unless that source was mistaken as well.

  13. I'll back Bif up on the Cena hate.

I haven't seen much wrestling in the last 4 or 5 years, and I have no problem with Cena's in ring work, but his character is boring as fuck. It's really tired. He's almost like Stone Cold to me now, it's cool when he pops in or makes a return, but then after seeing him 2 or 3 times in a row I wish he would disappear again for another 10 months. It's time for him to change something up, he's been doing the same rehearsed crap for a good number of years.

So I don't think its his work, or the fact that he is killing in fans or merch sales that is the problem it's just the same crappy character over and over and over again... being fed to the mindless masses that buy it as hip, tough and edgy.

I also think the comparison to the Jonas Brothers isn't too far off, or at least it makes sense to me.

You know what, I think it might be time for John Cena to do another movie or have another single... that'll keep him fresh in everyones eyes.
