  1. And E-mail I just recieved stemming from [email protected].

    My friend,

Indictments are about to be handed down. If you don't want your name on one, we'll need your full cooperation in an upcoming operation.

In case you haven't heard, we are struggling with a bit of corruption in the department. I'm not about to let the Gotham PD collapse in on itself, so we're taking action. We've identified a group of offenders that need to be apprehended. Problem is, most of these cops are hightailing it out of the city. But a C.I. just like you just gave us some information on their last known whereabouts. Now all we need is to catch them. This is where you come in.

Consider yourself on deck. I'll contact you next week, and let’s just say it's in your best interest to play along. County's not a place you want to spend the rest of your life.

    Lt. Jim Gordon, MCU

  2. I'm sure they'll include all of Aerosmith's singles. From what I have read, the game will follow the band's rise to stardom, beginning from their first gig till present time. Songs will apparently appear in chronological order, which means that instead of cursing the final tier of songs for their difficulty, we'll curse them for being so shitty in comparison to earlier tracks. Also, each set will be structured as such:

    Song 1- Other band

    Song 2- Other band

    Song 3- Aerosmith

    Song 4- Aerosmith

    Encore- Aerosmith

I don't want to miss a thing is going to be in this game.

Man they really bombed on this. They could have done a Judas Priest game instead.

Except Priest are nowhere near as marketable as Aerosmith.

  3. Apparently they had a Press Conference on Dent's website today at 3:00 EDT. I went there just about 10 minutes ago, and there was just statticy audio. Did anyone else see/ hear what happened? The static makes me think that they had it, but "had trouble" near the end and Dent ended up getting cut off by the group that is trying to down him.....

Does anyone know what happened for sure?

  4. No. I don't think so. These pictures weren't officially released by the WB and they ruin a few scenes of the movie. Link to images like this, don't post them without warning.

I agree. They are giving away the movie, and aside from the marketing stuff I want to see as little "outside" information on this movie as possible.

  5. I got this e-mail from the "I believe in Harvey Dent" campaign.

We did it! Harvey Dent has officially announced he's running for Gotham District Attorney! And it's all because of you -- your support.

Your rallies, your petition drives, your videos, your enthusiasm. The Dentmobile brought our message of change for Gotham City to every neighborhood. But it was your energy that brought a message of support to Harvey Dent himself.

And he heard you. Harvey Dent heard the fierce desire all of you have for change in Gotham. And that's why, today, Harvey Dent announced that he's running for Gotham DA.

Now, the real battle begins. We all must join together to make sure that Harvey Dent gets the chance to take back Gotham City from crime and corruption.

Talk to your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers. Tell them why Harvey Dent is the one man who can save Gotham.

And keep on checking www.ibelieveinharveydent.com for news of the race.

Harvey Dent thanks you all. With your help, we can take back Gotham.

    Sincerely

    Allan Cypes

Media Manager, Harvey Dent for Gotham DA

  6. Commercial breaks on live TV matches seem to be where they do their rest holds for a few minutes (or, as mentioned, sit on the outside to sell going splat). During a Raw I was at, during a Flair/Batista vs. Booker/RVD match, someone got Flair a bottle of water while Batista had one of the opponents in a rest hold. It looked kind of weird in person and naturally it was not part of the television broadcast.

I really hate commercial breaks during matches. It drives me nuts that it's perfectly acceptable to have a commercial free 20 minute block to have an extended in-ring interview, but we can't have an eleven minute match without needing a break somewhere. My philosophy is that on television, you really shouldn't be having matches that are any longer than what can be contained in a single segment (make more room for the entire roster to have a chance to shine).

I believe it is because they have 20 minute non-match segments go uninterrupted that they need to take "extra" commercial breaks in the middle of a 10 minute match, or have segments that are only 3 minutes long (ex. commercial - King and JR run down a PPV card and we cut to a shot where HBK IS WALKING~!, then another commercial).

There is no "extra" commercial breaks. They plan all of this out very carefully and know almost to the second (it's live so give or take a few) when they are going to go to break. The short 3 minute segments are on purpose and will usually be placed places where there isn't much going on or right before the ME starts so that you don't miss any of the "real" action. For example (a really bad example at that) watch Oprah for a day..... she will have a Huge Segment usually about 15 mins, then 2 moderate segments about 10 mins and then she'll have 3 really short segments near then end of the show where she will cram in all her filler and other crap.

  7. For this PPV they started with Peirce and Whitmer in the ring wnadering around for a good 5 minutes waiting for thier cue, while Prazack and the other guy were in front of the camera (with the ring and the Hangmen 3 in the background) spouted off some puns about "Raising Above" pretending they didn't know why the HM3 were there.

Also I'd be willing to bet they do tape the commentary live, because if they don't they are alot worse then I was thinking. Because if they do it afterthe fact they should know EXACTLY when the screen will split and where the windows will come into the screen but there were times when they wouldn't even pay mention to them, or when they would switch to the replay screen during the match, neither commentator would talk about it (my guess being that it's because they don't know that there is going to be a replay posted in there), where as if it was post production commentary then they should already have the finished visual package in front of them so they should be talking about the replay and not what's going on in the ring (which we can't see because there is a full screen replay).

I don't know if these are things that are overlooked to the casual fan, and if so, that's fine. But again I just choose to be nitpicky because I think they could be so much better, even without having the live PPVs. And believe me, doing them live is ALOT more work and with the way they are showing this, they wouldn't have a prayer at doing one live.

  8. I think ROH do a solid job with their wrestling product, but they still have improvement in fluidity of the angles they pull off and the little story lines that they do use.

Also their Production is terrible. I don't mean their dark buildings and stuff I mean their editing, their commentary etc. Their production is nothing that any random joe can't do from his basement.

That is the lack of appeal to me as a viewer from home. I've never seen a live ROH show and I've only seen a handful of DVD from the past and their PPVs and they have a lot of work to do before the majority of the people outside of their core audience is even intrigued by their product. Because it looks amateur.

In most cases I would agree with you but the production was one of the things that set this show apart from all the others thus far. One of the most jarring things about the first PPV was how abrupt the transitions were from in ring to back stage. This show really didn't suffer from that in spite of the artificial feeling they already have not being live. It still didn't give off that spontaneous live vibe but for once it didn't really hurt it (not that they could do much considering). The use of the split screens and the promos being pretty strong (and to the point) gave the show a barn burner pace. This show should change your mind about many of the perception complaints you have. If not then it might be best to check back when and if they start doing live camera shoots with a production truck and a pro crew. :P

I did watch this show and I agree it was better then the last few as far as production goes, but there is alot more they could do using the minimalistic approach they are, that would add to the look. For example they use the split screen, but they squeeze it and make it all out of shape when you can easily have 2 smaller screens without stuff being distorted and have a graphical overlay so that it doesn't look so bush league. Another was the "layout" of the show... if everyone knows that the show isn't live, then why do they do the commentary live? It doesn't make sense if they are going to be doing throws to the back during matches and stuff. As you said above, I am merely nitpicking because production is one of the aspects of my job, so I take alot of pride in what I do, and I think that they could do a much better job if they just put the effort in.

  10. I got drunk one night at a kegger and tripped UP a flight of stairs and broke my index finger..... I didn't realize it till I woke up the next morning with a finge3r that was 2x the normal size. I still have a lump on my finger where I never got it properly set.

  11. I just recently bought a GPS. I'll be moving across the country soon and I'm absolutely useless when it comes to directions and I will be driving so I thought it would be a worthwhile purchase..

The model I bought was an LG 735. I only wanted one that was a basic model that would help me navigate, nothing overly fancy, but it won't connect to my computer. I try to install the software and it won't install unless the unit is detected by the computer. I've tried it a number of different ways. Turned on, Turned off, plugging it in before starting the computer, plugging it in while the computer is running and all I get is the computer beeping like the USB connection is being plugged in and removed. It's strange.

The unit still works on the road and seems to have no problems, but I was just wondering if this is a problem that it won't connect to the computer? I'm new to this GPS thing, so any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  12. 43. Walking into your apartment at 3:30am drunk, only to find your roommate asleep on the couch with his pants around his ankles. He hears you walking in a props his head up and greets you "Hey man" you reply with "Hey, What's up" and he screams "FUCK PANTS!!!" and falls immediately back to sleep. He remembers non of it in the morning.

    44. You wake up at 4 in the morning to go take a piss and you walk into the bathroom only to find your roommate scrubbing the walls inside the tub with a toothbrush (no, it wasn't my toothbrush). He steps out allows me to piss and then goes back to scrubbing the walls.... again remembers none of it the next morning, not even scrubbing the walls.

  13. I agree with the different area regarding the jawline and the forehead, but that first one was pretty much square in the mush. No forehead, no jaw....pretty much mashed his face front on.

I'm not arguing that I think Lesnar will be a killer in the ring, I just don't think he should be counted out so easily.

  14. Yes, I did actually. I had the same problem, in Movie Maker as well as Power Producer it just told me it couldn't recognize the file for whatever reason.

I thought it still might have been a problem where I was doing something wrong, but I guess not. I guess it's the files, cause I've had the problem with several different files.
